  1. Pali that's nice. Good job on the decals. G
  2. Once you have the decals, just build a second set of cars. Deconstructing and stripping is a pain in the G
  3. I like it! During those long wierd Mid-Western winters our cars wold get so dirty you couldn't see the door decals. Along comes a nice day, wash the car, and the temperature would drop. Can you say frozen doors? G
  4. Looks good Nick. Here's a first time mockup of the car. I went with the chrome grill and blingy wheels as the car is used for publicity purposes. Same reason I left the computer out, not needed in a show car. I like the look, and how the thing went together now. Up to this point I was ready to put it in the box and say bye bye. I'm not a fan of this kit. Stupid instructions, poor choices in regards to clear pieces, and flash on most parts. I may or may not build the other in my stash. G
  5. Those are really nice. I like the T-34 in the grassy setting. I have done one 1/72 scale armor kit. I like them but my eyes don't........... G
  6. Janne, LAPD used at least one Impala SS as a "recruitment car" or DARE car. It visited schools to promote the PD. It was traditional black and white, with 18" or 20" chrome wheels. G
  7. Great build there. Flower class? G
  8. Oh now, that stuff is just neat! Moremoremore! G
  9. Very very nice. G
  10. How about clean up? What is the safest way to dispose of left overs? Laquer thinner, I presume, for the airbrush? G
  11. Way cool! Good job on some crazy stuff. I don't know the back story on WarHammer but always liked the kits. G
  12. Neat build there mate. I'm thinkin' midget stoker........................ G
  13. I used one. I still have three waiting. G
  14. Oh yeah! In the sun that color is right on. G
  15. Janne, the set I used is long out of production, but if I recall the "Gotham City" police car and the "TJ Hooker" police version of the venerable '78 Dodge Monaco has some white "POLICE" decals. Check www.policecarmodels.com look in the decal section. There may be generic marking sets there. G
  16. I'll gladly defer and name someone else "the winner" I went to traffic in '82. FNG + oldest bike in fleet = 1974 Harley FLH-P. I rode that wheel for a year and a half. I never needed to work out in a gym while riding that beast. Harry, I'm on wife #4, this ones a keeper. G
  17. Ok in between drug induced periods of sleep I accomplished quite a bit on the Impala's interior. I painted and assembled the radio, siren, and light switches as I remembered them from oh so long ago. These are resin copies of the parts in the old '70 Ford police interceptor kit. I detailed the steering column with gear shift and blinker lever. These will be silver with black knobs. I made the knobs from superglue and accelerator. The interior as painted years ago. G
  18. Smart a$$! Windy here today, lookin' to get real hot by the weekend. I've never driven the PD version, sat in one and looked around though. I had an '07 as a rental but a never looked under the hood. I just drove an '11 last weekend as a rental. Didn't look under the hood this time either. G
  19. Terry! Good to hear from ya. I saw you were home, then began a whole slew of overtime. I had precious time for the interweb. It's heck gettin' old eh? G
  20. Actually, just mowing the yard. Trouble is, this knee has sustained numerous "owies" in the past. Shrapnel and bullet fragments, a bad parachute landing, and the rigors of a law enforcement career have left it susceptible to injury. And it really let me know it! G
