    wow, I like this, a lot. G
  3. Some things never change. We had six get wiped out the same way, the driver was a neighbor of mine. God Bless them. G
  4. moremoremoremore! G
  5. Ok well I had a few minutes so I photographed the body. This sat for about four weeks (work and life intervened) so it was fully cured. I decided to give it a wet rub down with some fine grit paper, then used my tried and true Novus #2 polish. The key is to sacrifice an old white cotton T shirt, works every time. After a bit of Novus #1 here she is. G
  6. Thanks Guys! DD ya read my mind regarding the ignition switch. Charlie the color is a Tamiya laquer spray #AS-15 USAF tan. The can is marked "Tamiya Color for Aircraft". I've used the one can for three interiors now and it really looks nice. It dries semi-flat which really works for vinyl and leather interiors. G
  7. Here's what I did with the rear end. I used springs from a ballpoint, and scratched the perches. I made the shocks from aluminum tube, one inside the other. G
  8. Now that is sweet. Kudos for building that, especially in 1/48th scale! G
  9. Gorgeous. G
  10. Thank you all. David that is going to be taken off as that is an unnecessary control given the Impala's layout. Right now the whole steering column/wheel is just tacked on, and only base coated the interior color. The Goats wheel has aluminum spokes which I think won't look so good in this interior. I need suggestions, should I just replicate stock (aluminum colored spokes), or utilize the wood trim in and on the wheel? G
  11. Nice one Felix. Angel would be proud. G
  12. Whoo Hooo! That's a winner. G
  13. The interior is just about finished. Lots of paint detailing. I used oils to replicate the wood grain, and flocking for the carpet. G

Don every build is really just practice for the next one. The whole idea is to improve your skills, try new things, and above all have fun. This build suggests a car owned by a young guy who when he has the funds, makes an engine swap, then adds modifications as time/money permits. Nothing wrong with this one, I thinking you are your own worst critic...... G
  15. I retired three and a half years ago at the ripe old age of 52. Did a lot of travelling by motorcycle, and built a bunch of kits. I got bored and decided to move across the country, which I did. I sold some of the stash, built a bunch. and brought a lot with me. I kept ALL my tools although I lost a good number of reference books in divorce #2. Got bored again and sent out some resumes, whereupon the great state of Nevada made me an offer I couldn't refuse. Been back in the workforce for a bit now, having vowed to never again be a supervisor. I was a boss for 13 years and it wore me out. I said to my self I only want to be responsible for me. I can stay where I'm at for ten years, then retire again. I'm slowly building the stash and building as much as I can. The other day I was told they want to promote me. Darnit I F'd up again. G
  16. Monogram's 1/48th scale B 25J. My first airplane in a looooong time. G
  17. Tamiya's venerable Panther G Late. Built OOB with the Tamiya individual link tracks. G
  18. My all time favorite warplane. Is this the old Revell kit? If so you really did it justice. G
  19. Oh yeah another one! I love that plane. Good job I like the folded wings. G
  20. Nice build of one of my faves. Love those Atlantic camo schemes. G
  21. It's a new world with technology G
  22. Here's a few that I actually finished. The rest were not car related. G
