  1. Nice! Way too clean for a jarhead's ride though.......... G
  2. Never worked on a car in my life,(I'm a bike guy) but I have driven 100,000's of miles. My old police department has mostly stuck with GM since about '84. I have seen vans go 300,000 + miles, and all the cars seem to have absorbed all the punishment we gave them in an urban area. Where I currently work, we had a '98 Century with 100,000+ as an undercover car. Looked like heck but it ran well and gave great gas mileage. More than that it was comfortable. I drove a Pontiac G4 as a rental and was impressed with it. I despise the new Impala but concede it is a good passenger car. My current ride is an '05 Lincoln Town Car, 22-23 mpg city, 30+ highway and comfy as heck. Wife has an '05 Civic and it is a fine little car. We did an 1800 mile roadtrip in it and got 35mpg + on the freeway. If I was in the market now I'd go with Ford or Honda for a new car, Toyota for a good used car. G
  3. I'll go faster, promise. G
  4. Same same for southern Nevada! I actually have the reverse problem, high heat, and no humidity make for problematic painting sessions. I live for this time of year when I can spray outside. G
  5. After 15 months I returned to to the world and an empty apartment in O'side. She left a note with the super as she left Cali. My recuperation involved alcohol and a new duty station, the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard. I left the Corps in '78 vowing never to return to Missouri. Right, a year later my uncle calls and asks if I wanted to be a policeman in the 'Lou. Back I went, met #2 and we wed in '82. She absolutely refused to discuss anything that happened to me and forbade me from telling my children of my time in the Corps. That marriage gave me PTSD. #3 was a looker, problem is she was as psychotic as they come. That didn't surface ubtil after we married. I got the house, my car, my bike, the dog, and a fair bit of relief now that she was gone. #4 is a wonderful person and I finally got it right. After dating around for a couple of years, I met her and said this one's for me. She felt the same way. We eloped one afternoon getting married in my Towncar in the drivethrough of the Little White Wedding Chapel. G
  6. If you take the 15, exit at the St. Rose Parkway and we'll meet. G
  7. I will take one of each please. ThankYou G
  8. Thanks Danno! I'm going to clear the campaign with the Sergeant Major, and dutifully ask if she will attend. I know the answer, but you know how it is. G
  9. I never expected #1 to split, much less have bad luck with #2 and #3. All though I will say #2 and I have 3 great kids, looking back I wonder how that happened. Swore off serious relationships for quite a while but couldn't pass up the current MrsG. G
  10. Oh absolutely! What are the exact dates/times, and location? I want to get the work schedule set right away then make hotel reservations. G
  11. Harold #3 This build is just fine for your first rod. Now that you've done one do some more. Look at this one and note what can be improved upon, then remember those areas in the next build. You seem to have a good grasp on basic building, so now's the time to push the bar a bit higher. Maybe take a minute to review photos in magazines and on line. Look at pics of real cars and models. Take note how both the real cars and the models are built, see what features you like and make the attempt to replicate those. There is no plagerism in modeling. If you see one of my builds and like the way I did something, USE IT! Keep building young man! G
  12. I had that happen once car shopping. On my day off I took my then small daughter to look for new Suburbans. Salesman took one look at me and announced "They are quite expensive you know" I told him that I already owned one that I bought new, and wanted to replace it with another new one. He still didn't get the hint. He decided I needed to fill out a financial questionaire, so I played along. All of a sudden he was smiles and giggles wanting to sell me a car. I told him to stuff it and that I'd be purchasing the vehicle at a competitor. Which I did. G
  13. I intend to go this year. It is an 8 hour drive from my place, and I have been making plans. G
  14. Remember I am not here........................... I dress only in attire specially sanctioned by MiB special services. I conform to the identity given to me, eat where I'm told, live where I'm told. From now on I have no identifying marks of any kind. I do not stand out in any way. My entire image is crafted to leave no lasting memory with anyone I encounter. I am a rumor, recognizable only as deja vu and dismissed just as quickly. I don't exist; I was never even born. Anonymity is my name. Silence my native tongue. I am no longer part of the System. I am above the System. Over it. Beyond it. I am "them." We are "they." I am one of the Men in Black. G
  15. Yes it is Aaron. The turret screens are PE, and the 20mm barrel is aluminum. This came with the DKW NZ350 dispatch bike also. G
  16. Lets see, #1- I'm not sure how long it lasted. I was sent on an all expense paid vacation to SE Asia, and she left during that time. Didn't see her for 20+ years. #2- 23 years, until she decided she liked girls better than boys. #3- 16 months. 20 years younger, hot, and crazy as a loon. #4- We celebrated one year as of September 14. Met her when we arrested one of her employees. She was Director of Casino Operations, and has since retired because, in her words, "I want to be a housewife for once in my life." Quite the keeper this one. G
  17. I like that a lot! The flywheels are the roadwheels from the Opel Maultier (mule), a cargo truck with tracks instead of duallys. Scary that I know that huh? G
  18. Yes, absolutely THANK YOU ! G
  19. One ex would definately be the Area 51 love slave, one , well uh bigfoot. Not sure about the third ex, haven't seen her in 25 years. G
  20. I like it Felix. This vehicle and that camo was way before my time. Oh what fun I'd have had with that cannon. G
  21. Thank You sir, may I have another. So let me get this straight. You're a super secret squirrel squad mod, it wasn't swamp gas, the other gunman was on a hill somewhere, and my ex is a bigfoot love slave. Uh, I am gonna ignore all this, wrath of the mods be darned. G
  22. Watching this season really got me thinking of this. What would be a good base kit? G
  23. The camo looks spot on. It looks like you sprayed the green, and brush pinted the brown and black. What colors did you use? I like it. G
  24. I am ignoring all of this.......................... G
