  1. Here it is. G
  2. With all of them from Chicago you'd think that it would be different. LOL! Although I had to sit and watch silently while the Cubs, hack hack spit, beat my beloved Cardinals recently..................... G
  3. I have in my collection an armor model built by the late Roger Harney. Mr. Harney knew my brother in law and the topic of my hobby arose one time during conversation. Mr Harney gave Bert several kits and the built model to send to me. He autographed the tank before sending it. Sadly, Roger Harney passed away shortly before the package was delivered. I'll get a photo up later today. G
  4. I'm attempting to do that Danno. Trouble is I'm the only "non fan" of the Cowboys in the family................. G
  5. Charlie he's 12 going on 13 in December. I've had him building for about three years now. We just started airbrushing more complex designs. Carl I thank you and will pass that along. I too question the rationality of painting a real car that way but to each their own. Thanks Ray! G
  6. Inspired by this photo my grandson announced he wanted to build a similar model. We found a nice 68 Camaro in the stash and went at it. After peeling away this: We now have this: We used Aztec acrylic Silver and Blue for the main body colors. He used my Paasche Talon to ab the fade job. The stripes are Tamiya acrylic Flat White and Royal Blue. All masking and layout performed by the grandson. The interior is Aztec Pearl White and Pearl Blue. Found some clip art we plan on turning into decals. For the hood. The boy earned his keep as a modeler on this one. He even sports a band aid from where he cut himself whilst masking the seats. Diehard builder that he is, he was careful to not get blood on the work. G
  7. Congratulations! That is a stellar build. I really enjoyed watching you work on this one. In all honesty I believe there were two colors schemes for the snake. Red and tan. The old B/W film used by the Germans was quite sensitive, especially in the red spectrum. Red, red brown, rust, even pink, etc all came out looking darker than the other colors. For that reason alone I believe there were two different color snakes. Besides, they're both bad @ss. G
  8. It lost a pound in paint already. G
  9. A Sally Beauty Supply store will give you a selection of any and all sanding essentials. Boards in multiple grits, foam sanding blocks and buffers. You will also find the above listed tools there as well. G
  10. Pretty much sums up my career. I like #7, cops have a BS meter, a good one. I can smell BS from a long ways out. G
  11. The Laboratory Division provided an inexhaustible supply of sim cards for the Evidence Technicians digi cameras. One card per scene. Photos were reviewed in the camera at the scene to assure the scene was thoroughly and properly photographed. The card was packaged immediately after processing the scene in the presence of a supervisor. The card was then locked in a lock box in the ETU van. At the labs earliest convenience, usually driving time back to HQ, one set of pictures were printed as a working file and provided to the detectives. The file was downloaded to the lab hard drive. The card was then conveyed to the department property room as evidence. If the case went to trial the card was checked out of evidence and a court copy of all photos were printed. Keep in mind all the sets, working copies and court copies were up for discovery. We never had photos challenged at trial. G
  12. Fair winds and following seas shipmate. RIP friend. G
  13. Wow Jonathan, these are sweet looking models. G
  14. Speaking as an alumnus, "I'll be watching" As far as paint goes, do you have an airbrush? Lots and lots of choices if you do. I personally would gravitate toward Tamiya acrylics because #1 I'm real comfortable airbrushing them and #2 I am real comfortable mixing my own colors if I cannot find what exactly I need. I never had an issue gloss coating them with any product either. The new Aztec acrylics from Testors are the bomb. too. If you don't have an airbrush, well I like Krylon, just sayin'........ G
  15. Excellent! G
  16. Kevin that book has become my bible for all things USMC on Iwo Jima. G
  17. No, no blaming Geraldo, but the hype and his amount of face time prior hardly helped his credibility. G
  18. Agreed. The way I see it, it's more about the families of the departed. A good final send off is important. G
  19. Remember the hype over Al Capone's sealed vault? Weeks and weeks of build up? Live on national TV, an empty vault. What a maroon..................... G
  20. No, they were my victims. I spoke for them. G
  21. Root canal. G
  22. I always liked working in homicide. My victims never complained............................ G
  23. Oh yeah! That's a winner! G
