  1. This was a raffle prize won by MrsG at the local Red Flag Scale Modelers show yesterday. We are slowly working up to the real car....... G
  2. I am not normally a fan of track nosed rods, but these three are simply beautiful automobiles. G
  3. Here's a little bit more. Almost there now. Camo is hand painted in MM Acryl colors. I hand lettered the name in Vallejo acrylic. This was a real tank in "B" Co, 4th Tank Battalion. G
  4. At least I live in Henderson, up in the mountains south of town. Even at that there's no shortage of illumination. MrsG and I are already looking for a more remote location. I can do that and only be a few miles further out than I already am. G
  5. What's this "sunset" thing you speak of? G
  6. I found Lindberg's Crown Victoria police car to be quite accurate and faithful to the 1:1. Their later Dodge Charger police car glue kit builds to a fine looking replica as well. Revell's Chevrolet Caprice cop car/taxi/fire chief car as well as it's later iteration as an Impala SS is a well proportioned replica. Hmm, that's two snap kits and one glue kit, the most recent of which is about 7-8 years old now. G
  7. Now that is nice! Good job Ray. G
  8. I like this. G
  9. It's a term used by armor modelers when referring to anything in 1/72 scale. The kits are so tiny you have to feel your way. G
  10. I took some DAS air drying clay and rolled it out into a long thin shape. I flattened it slightly the cut off individual sections with a curved Xacto blade. I positioned them one by one and when I was happy with the layout, I thinned some Elmer's glue with water and brushed it on and around the stack of bags. G
  11. This is yet another USMC M4 Sherman from Iwo Jima. This one though, is 1/72 scale. Everything in gray is from the kit. Everything else is scratch built. I used pipe screens from a smoke shop for the hatch covers. Base coated in MM Acryl Olive Drab. Hand painting to come. G
  12. Why yes I live in St Louis, how ever did you guess? G
  13. That's carpet boy. G
  14. X2 G
  15. That one day, was the most surreal day of my career. G
  16. That makes sense..................... G
  17. There was a guy many, many moons ago who had a cherry 67 GTO. He got so used to being stopped by us to gawk at that beautiful car, he would just pull into 7-11 to park and wait. G
  18. Jeez, I thought the goofy kid was hallucinating again...... G
  19. The Steelers played the Cheaters (Patriots) tonight. Does that make it a Felony game? G
  20. Running California Highway 1 north to south and back again in the 70's on a Harley Sportster and a Yamaha TX500.The 80's saw a Plymouth Road Runner of the '77 persuasion. In the 90's and early 2000's I rode it on a BMW R100RT and later, in my Town Car. Fun times. G
  21. Oh yeah, survivor this, survivor that, naked and doing something, really? I told someone once I was in an episode of Survivor, it was "Survivor - South East Asia". When asked when it aired, I replied oh about 40 years ago for my episode. Then you come ride with me on the 6pm to 2am watch in north St Louis, you'll appreciate just how stupid those shows are. It was a relief to "survive" roll call....... Sorry Officer Malloy, no hijack, just an old retired sergeant venting. G
