You don't have to take the money and "throw a game" to cheat. You can win by just so much, so long as you cover the points spread, the "over and under". Say for instance, and this is just an example because the game was mentioned, in the recent Cavs/Bulls game the Cavs were favorites by 20 points. So you bet the Cavs to win by upwards to, but not over, 20 points. So now say somebody on the Cavs team gets paid to hold their win to under 20 points over the Bulls. That hypothetical player took the money, but didn't "throw the game". That makes a lot of money for those who bet the points and not the straight outcome of the game. G

Most likely, no. Pete Rose was his own worst enemy. No evidence was ever submitted that he did anything but bet on games, yet he denied the allegations and stood fast ticking off MLB officials. Now, was what he actually did worthy of exclusion? Not my call, but as a guy who has a current case for the Nevada "List of Excluded Persons", i.e. The Black Book, and has weaved the halls of the Gaming Board and Gaming Commission, I can safely say politics definitely played a part in Rose's lifelong exclusion. Thank You Gentlemen, you too Jonathan........................ Jim the measurement of payload was listed in "hundred weights" US and Canada used the short hundred weight, or 100 lbs, and Great Britain used the "long" or Imperial measurment which was 112lbs per hundred weight. Trucks were referred to by the multiples of hundred weight of payload i.e. this Chevy is a 12 - 15 Hundred weight truck or abbreviated as 12Cwt, or 15Cwt. G

This is a 1/35th scale Tamiya kit. I added Value Gear stowage and painted this one with mostly Floquil enamels. It has sat around for at least 3 years until Steve at Value Gear released the set for this kit. Thanks Steve! Some very brave men rode into the vast desert wastelands to spy on Rommel. They stayed out weeks at a time usually spending more time and energy digging themselves out. I used a generic case and added the desert base from DAS clay. The rock is plaster from a Woodland scenics mold. All that is painted in craft store acrylics. I still need to dust up the wheels and truck. G

Looks like the Lindbergh kit at first glance. It's a shame to hear about the deficiencies. How's the interior stack up? Nice car by the way! G -
Good for you! As of last week Wednesday I have lost 35 pounds since January. On purpose even! G

This might be a good place to start. Model Master Zinc Chromate Green. It's a flat finish but that shouldn't matter. G

My guy lost the fight. Deep down we all knew Mayweather would probably win. But....you could tell he was scared enough of Manny to keep his mouth shut beforehand. Mary and I will not be able to meet with Manny before he returns home, but have plans for the next time he's in the states. He's got one more fight then retirement from the ring, maybe G

Beautifully done Harry. I really, really like this. G

Thank you all! Miles, this is the Battalion Commanders ride. Each symbol represents a different company in the battalion hence the four suits. Kevin, how about a build off? I have one waiting. Ray, I believe that some form of base always puts the vehicle in perspective. I find that a beautifully weathered tank with winter whitewash looks strange just sitting on the shelf. Same same with a desert warrior. G

I'll be watching this one! G -
This is my take on Dragon's Pz III N in Tunisia. This is the kit that comes with the extended "winterketten" so I substituted a set of Tristar workable tracks. The sandbags are a resin set by Panzer Art. I made a small base. Paint is Tamiya, mixed by the old Mark I eyeball. Weathering is a combination of oil, acrylic and enamels. G
