  2. Jason, Whatever that is, it's just way too cool. Good job. and Yes! Thank you Joe ever so much for hosting this GB. I had a blast! G
  3. I completely lost track, when is this due out? G
  4. OMG yes, but not just younger drivers, everyone. G
  5. Not only was it not "free" it added significantly to the overall cost of the car. I like the old trick of taking your offer and then jacking up the "doc" fees or other some such so in the end the purchase price is what the car was advertised for in the first place. I saw a cherry '11 Town Car locally for a decent price which was marked on the windshield. I low balled the guy who returned with a "accepted" contract with doc fees that took the price back up to what it was originally. When I asked the sales man if he thought I was stupid he didn't know what to say. I left. G
  6. Actually only Clark County is 702 and they are adding another area code later his year. The rest of the state is 775. G
  7. I have to agree here. I'd truly like to see some breakdown on percentages and what brings in the money. That is, after all, what doing business is all about. G
  8. Outstanding sir! G
  9. Looks more like a Cougar to me................. G
  10. For a real eye catcher paint the right side steelies half white and half black. It was a way for the trainers standing trackside to observe how well the trainees reacted to hard braking. Pre ABS days you had to have a sensitive foot to prevent lock up. If you dont have steel wheels, just use the full wheel covers. No hard and fast rules for these! I might be prejudiced but, I'll take any model builder, home craftsman or shop tinkerer any day. Sometimes, attention to detail keeps my people alive. G
  11. Good luck with the job! The car's looking good. A couple of tips if I may? EVOC cars were usually rotated from the street fleet to the academy training fleet. Dents dings and not so shiny paint are the norm. No wheel covers. Aggressive driving tossed them off anyway. Quite often we took off the door decals. About the only thing on these that said "POLICE" were the license plates. Engines and drivetrains were meticulously maintained as were brakes, shocks and tires. Certain cars were "modified" so much they were marked "For track use only". I'll leave that to your imagination...................... About 1 in 3 had some form of lights/siren combo for instructional purposes. Hope that helps! G
  12. I'm Jewish, heck I'd be digging through for more.......... G
  13. I broke down and got this. It fits with my North Africa Campaign build theme. G
  14. Beautifully done! G
  15. Sorry for the delay. My work schedule is a B right now. Yes, glue that stuff right to the primered areas with a small amount of liquid cement. I too wish to see paint! G
  16. I see Tesla's every day here. That model S is my dream car. I saw two old Oldsmobiles within three blocks this morning. One was a baby blue '64 two door and the other a bright red '65 two door. I'm not up on my vintage Oldsmobiles so what models they were escape me. G
  17. What if you stretched some sprue real thin and used that to replace the raised panel lines? G
  18. Very good sir. I agree, back to models! G
  19. "Life is hard, but it's a heck of a lot harder if you're stupid." Sgt. John M Stryker The Sands of Iwo Jima
  20. That's the best way Carl, just end it. I, on the other hand, had assistance from my lovely wife. She decided we would quit smoking so she did. Just like that. She also provided the best incentive ever for me to quit. Her plan? "You quit smoking Gray or I'll punch you in the f++++g head." I quit right then and there. G
  21. Don't blink! G
  22. I see what Charlie speaks of every day in the casino industry. Nevada relies on tourism, Las Vegas being the mecca for all things party related. The "issues" with our economy prompted drastic measures by corporate executives. You can't make money if no one walks in the joint. To quote Charlie, "Like many of the engineering students, we've also begun to attract people with the same fatal flaws into the managerial field. Only, they focus exclusively on one thing: the bottom line and how to wring every last penny out of every operation, reality and necessity be hanged." No one, and I mean no one, working in a casino has the authority to grant a "comp" any more. No decisions are allowed "on the fly" by experienced Floor Supervisors. Upper management will terminate any Floor who takes the initiative and rectifies any but the most mundane issue at the table. I truly wonder why anyone would ever consider a career in the gaming industry anymore. Don't let me get started on my office either. G
