Florida Highway Patrol Mustang Update 2/2/2014
Agent G replied to Johnny1973's topic in WIP: Model Cars
That looks great! Don't fret the wheel issue. When bulk purchases are made sometimes strange combinations of options emerge. G -
We had an episode of the "Dead Files" recorded. Amy Allan speaking to the dead was a lot more exciting than that game. G

You have to find a storefront location in a neighborhood like mine. Just off the beaten path, on a main arterial street that is visited by the locals. Then a small place will do just fine. We have one Steak n Shake at the Southpoint for instance. It costs them boo coo bucks to be inside the casino. The trade there is phenomenal so they pay the rent easy. Not so easy unless your a well known name chain or 5 star chef. G

That year was an abnormally cold winter here in the high desert. This year it's just now cooled off and become "normal" for winter. We're gonna get hit in the rainy season I bet. Out here you have to find the Chicagoans and start from there. Thank goodness a new place opened just down the street. Great Italian beef sandwiches. G

Ditto here. Took off early and the grandson and I went for paint. No joy in the clearence isle. G -
Pete that reminds me of December '08 when the snow fall here in Las Vegas set an all time record. Dumped 8 inches at my house in Henderson. No one, and I mean no one in my neighborhood could navigate the roads. The four of us who made it in for the nightwatch all come from areas where snow was normal. G

Depends on if your packing a large gun too........uh er weapon, ummm personal defense system, oh well you know what I mean. Large fat wallet helps with that type too............. Danno Sometime when all the kiddies (Jonathan) are asleep I will relate the tale of the dancer I dated just prior to meeting MrsG. She was in the chorus line in the old Folies Bergere G -

You have to find the person responsible for ordering and chat them up. The tall good looking honey (showgurl type) in charge at the Henderson Hobby Lobby is open to suggestions. In fact she's making an attempt to order some different MM Acryl colors as well as various Tamiya and Revell kits, read 90 Mustang LX. G -
Did the midwest get the ice storm predicted for last night? G

Thank you all for keeping the family in your prayers on this painful anniversary. All of us retired folk made sure the new crop of blueshirts this year understood who he was and what he stood for. Charlie I found the murder of PO Collier to be perhaps one of the most senseless of the killings in 2013. While none "make sense" taken in context that one was painful. "Speedbump" and "Flashbang" eh? Fitting. G

I love that car. G

You know somehow, when all this happens at once, I tend to think it's a matter of how strong "someone" believes we are. I take solace in the fact that "someone" is confident that you or I or anyone else for that matter, is strong enough to endure. Stay the course my friend. G

I was on duty, eating an early lunch, when the police radio channels exploded into bits and pieces of mostly incoherent chatter. All I could understand at first was "Barnes Hospital ER" "block traffic" and then "officer shot". When we in the business hear this, we drop everything and I mean everything. If you are even remotely close, you go. Cops go, fireman go, medics go, hell even the trash trucks respond. I went. I arrived at the ER just in time to see one cop wheeled in having been shot twice. He was conscious and doing as well as could be expected. That kid recovered and is still a good hard charging copper. His partner PO Nicholas Sloan arrived next. Nick was DOA. I watched the kid grow up as his father was also a cop. He was the little PITA who spent every waking moment bothering the stink out of his sisters. A good kid full of spunk who always wanted to be a cop. He achieved his goal and was a good one at that. In two short years Nick proved he was just as good as any, making his Dad proud. Nick left a fiance and infant son who will never forget the memory of his father as long as any of us police officers are alive. As I left the ER I walked into the ambulance bay which was full of cops. I realized the majority were academy class mates of Nick. I had the priviledge of informing them of his departure. The suspect was dead on the scene having been taken care of by the seriously wounded partner. It wasn't the first time and wasn't the last either, but darnnit that was a hard one. G

Oh how I hated that. Nice and sunny with just a hint of warming up, then the sun goes down. Ice coated everything. G
