Looks pretty good Chuck. I think the plain red one is closer. Make a base and use the rotator from the other one and I believe you'll have it. My opinion only, but I sent ya that one for a reason! The control console is a good generic representation of what most of us were using back then. I didn't get a "computer" as it were until we went online with the integrated CAD/Report Writing system in late '99 early '00. It wasn't considered financially feasible for bosses cars. When dispatch screens could be monitored from the lap top, then it made sense. That radar system is the old MPH Industries K-55, It was actually a two piece unit, the antenna being seperate. The entire thing sat on the dash. I have no idea what Michigan used back then. As a state run PD we used what the MSHP used in the Traffic Safety Division. I left there in '84 and never returned. How about "doc" fees that magically elevate the negotiated price back to where it was when you started ? How about "not being able to locate" a car you just looked at online, then not helping or even trying to "bait and switch". How about taking a half day off to go buy a car, telling the dealership I'd be right there and finding the car "sold" when I arrive ? There is a certain set of "name" owned dealerships here in town I will never visit again. G

Here's a teaser from the base paint phase of the Panzer I. The palm tree marking is sprayed on using a really neat set of stencils I got for Christmas. This stencil is about half the size of a postage stamp. I used Tamiya Flat White and my Badger Renegade Velocity. It took longer to mask and mix the paint than it did to actually spray the marking. G

Nevada just got the contract for civilian drone research and development. Pilots start at $85k. We figure with all the military drone pilots in this state, there will be quite a few that won't re up and just stay here flying the civvie jobs. Looks like a lot more UFO reports will be coming in soon. G

My Deputy Chief just shared photos of his place in Northern California in the early 80's. It had snowed so much he could walk onto the roof of his house without using a ladder. He had to shovel the roof due to the weight of the snow. There's a reason he moved to Vegas as well.................................... G

I have driven a late model Cavalier as a detective car. They gave me a new '11 Malibu when it came in, been driving it for nearly three years now. New chief publically stated there will be none of that nonsense in the future. Can you say Dodge Charger? I knew you could. G

Happens all the time here way out in the desert. There's nothing to hold the heat after the sun goes down. Used to watch the crews build fires under their tanks at 29 Palms after a cold night. G

Al ditch the Diet Coke. I switched to flavored bottled water and am losing weight at a steady pace now. Before I stopped drinking the soda pop I could do everything right but just couldn't lose. The other thing, walk. My knees are bad. all that abuse as a young'un caught up to me, so running is out of the question anymore. I take the dog and go on long walks in my neighborhood. We are in the foothills here so I get the benefit of inclines. MrsG is a marathon runner from way back so I just listen to her. G

That's cool. Using the entire lightbar is a good idea. The roof wouldn't support a rotator on that beast! You're about 3-4 years ahead of yourself using a '75 model, It's not as "phantom" as you might think. Issues like that arose around '79-'81 all across the country. I have no knowledge of the WSP but I saw a small city PD just across the Missouri River use Chevrolet Citations for marked cars for about a year. We laughed and laughed at those guys, then we got Celebritys. Poop. G
