Google search the particular car and model. There are enthusiast sites that might be able to provide intricate details. I was researching COPO Camaros and there were people keeping records of individual cars and build specifications, numbers, surviving, etc.

Joseph's (Fireball Modelworks) items are probably the most accurate items available in scale. I have a number of his tires and resin pieces and can attest to the quality and accuracy. He has a great website with photographs of all items and provides dimensions for his products. I agree with Tom. Body only really limits what a majority of modelers would be willing/capable of doing. I have started a couple resin kits that are trans kits, and even with the glass and parts supplied from donor kits, plenty of work is required to get it all together and looking presentable. Subject wise, I think I agree, all three are interesting. Right now, which would I buy - the LTD/Fairmont, then the Polara, and Jeep last. I would not, however, at this point in my life, buy a "body only" of any them unless they had donor kits available or, at the least, formed glass and interior.

I have them in 1/24. They have some very smooth parts but some of the surfaces are rough. I think it depends on how they are oriented when printed. I will get a photo up this weekend. Overall they are decent but I haven't cleaned themy up yet for a true evaluation.

it looks like the valve covers are indeed correct. They appear "wide" unlike the AMT version and have proper spark plug location, unlike the closer but incorrect Jo-Han version. It would be great to finally have an accurate 427 OHC engine - - reason in itself to purchase this model...?

The 3D rendering appears like a full detail kit? With engine, this kit would be very attractive...

No way Harry! 1981 Chevette..Citation didn't have the side trim that high...both fantastic GM tries though.

My wife had a Chevette like the one across the street. She doesn't really miss that. Kind of scary, actually, at how old that picture looks... The Cadillac looks like a fantastic cruiser.

I'd keep that bus as is. I am 99% of the time a builder but the condition of that original version would keep me from messing with it. The kit has been reissued as stated above, and probably had pretty good collector value since it's a VW. Very cool group!

Kudos for tackling a very ambitious project. Great work with vision and getting the model completed. I would look at utilizing masking tape or another guide to keep your lines straight - it would improve the overall look of the custom work you did.

Outstanding! I have been wanting a skinny lug tire! Those will look great on any old truck.

Cool. The new Ford kits from Revell are awesome slump busters. So many possibilities.

I think they might have worked for an early Ford 4x4 conversion (I like the old tall, skinny, blackish tires you'd see in highboys), but...the small opening may limit use, unless pliable...stretch from 13" to 16"?

I think it was Tamiya TS3 Dark Yellow. I'll check the can to confirm when I get home.

Cool idea so far. For the rack on this wagon: I just used round styrene. I rolled a blade on the rod at each node, then painted a base color, highlight color, then a wash on the node.

Tha article is about banning the conversion of street vehicles to race only - hence to control or limits on emission controls. It has no implications, as written, for street vehicles that are already regulated for emissions. This has nothing to do with safety. The EPA doesn't regulate that. They regulate the emissions and that is what they are doing here. You can still have a street car, subject to regular emission standards, and modify within those rules.

Great work on a boring car, my neighbor has some similar variant. White paint is a modeler's nemesis...yours looks excellent, though.
