Great looking model. I agree - looks better without all the "extras". Great color and the whitewalls give it a classy, time period look. Very cool.

It is hard to find good, direct side shots of cars (or dashboards!) Here is the AAR, are the side dimensions pretty much the same as the Hemi…? -

That is distorted. Too "wide" an angle. A picture should be shot with about a 50mm lens, if i am correct, to closely resemble what the human eye sees. It looks distorted to me anyhow... -
Either an alps printer or a decal service. You would need to contact them (somebody with an alps printer or a decal company) for graphics specifics as you can't just send a picture like an inkjet or laser printer. You can get gold decal paper and you might be able to print black or dark colors onto that. There are a couple members that print custom decals on ALPS printers.

It is a neat car - and I like the photo, too - gray backdrop, subdued colors on the car, and a lady in red (with black gloves to coordinate with the black lower of the car). Hey, maybe Heller can make one now that they're making some new tools!

That's cool. Nice work. Those wheels, especially the rear, fit the shape of the wheel wells perfectly - one reason oversize rims look good on this car (but are attrocious on cars without the right "composition"). Nice, clean model.

so how do i fix my boo-boo?

You could probably just shoot Tamiya Fine White Primer (like Austin stated above) and the pearl right over that. It's a pretty pure white and goes on smooth and not too thick. -
No, it doesn't.

Probably no Yugo...French cars from a French company. Maybe somebody from The Czech Republic or Slovakia could step up to that challenge -
Acid Tape (not exactly)

My guess would be contamination of the plastic below not allowing the paint to bite. Did you primer? Is the primer lifting? -

Thanks for the insight Brett. Sounds like good news for those liking out-of-stream kits. -

Scratch build...find some sheet styrene that is for siding in N scale (model railroad) and cut to shape. You can print a small "Custom" on clear decal paper. Add a small piece of styrene for the bottom shape. -

I like the Trabant…well, I like a model of a Trabant wagon... What is the difference between the Golf and the Rabbit? It seems ROG is in the process of tooling up new kits of kits that have already been tooled before…Mini, 2CV, Beetle, Rabbit/Golf…not complaining - just kind of interesting. Also, is that front bumper on the convertible from a different year? Or why does it extend back vs. the other version (and Rabbit bumpers)? -
That's a very cool looking model. I like cars with all decals. That modified hood blends nicely with the rest of the Studebaker design, too.

I had to explore this a little more... Check it out HERE This is really cool. 101 pieces with a PE fret, in 1/35 scale. ALL FOUR DOORS open. Open trunk with underhood trunk bracing. Police or civilian version. Comes with IED accessories (cell phone, mine, looks like a propane tank, etc).

That is one great looking model. I don't peruse the "trucks" section as much as other areas, so I had to go back and look at the WIP - very cool. I picked up some tips, too. I love the "metal" finishes throughout the model - the variety and finish are fantastic. Great work. -

Casey is right - promos go for $30 or so...and they don't have warped bodies like some of the kits that have been stuffed in a box for 30+ years. -
It's there now. In fact, there is one "under glass" today.

I guess the same would apply if you don't like a thread - don't read it. Really, it's a hard thing to figure out what's discussion, what's counting rivets, and what's whining - I suppose, on a text only format, it's all in all in how you interpret it. Look at it as a general conversation - people are just adding to the thread! No harm meant or done. -

The decal sheet thing looks like a misfeed on the packaging equipment - and doesn't seem to effect the decals. Mine were in exactly the position it appears others are in - and once placed properly back into the instruction manual, they are fine. Mine also had good chrome and no flash - except on the chassis piece - which has a lot (like from a 50 year old mold ) My biggest complaints are the over done fender flares (not sure what's going on with those…) which causes the body line to move up and around the wheel well openings and the new Revell wheel mounting method - with the rim to insert into the tire. Please, Revell, stop doing that! -
Man, that's a lot of work this year! Great variety in models too. I remember a few, missed a few too. Nice!
