Gunze Sangyo has some brush on primer. I have used the 1000 and 500 and like them both. The 500 is thicker and works well for fine joint lines, etc. 500 is called "Mr Surfacer", 1000 is "Mr Surfacer Primer"

I actually didn't catch that first viewing...but it makes sense - Walt was so upset, trying to "tell her off"... Hank going down without begging, still holding his moral compass, was a great ending, if there is such a thing, to his character life. My wife and I are considering watching all the episodes again - I am sure we will catch a lot of things we missed first time around.

Wow. Joseph comes through on another shortfall of the hobby industry. That BFG looks awesome - I ran a set of 31 inch on my 1984 Toyota.

That's a big question with many different answers. Here are some: You can buy kits at Hobby Lobby. Use a coupon to get 40% off. Can be found in Hobby Lobby website. eBay is a literal treasure trove of model kits. Old, new, rare, junk yards...you can find anything and everything there - and shop diligently and you can get good prices. Jiminohio.com is a nice selection of OOP kits at a decent price. Model Roundup has a big selection but high prices. Tower Hobbies plastic model site has a big selection of new kits and offers free shipping regularly. As for tools: Xacto knife or two Selection of basic paint colors - black, silver, etc and cleaner Sanding sticks or paper CA glue (super glue) Paint brushes Toothpicks

I usually don't go crazy with detail - first and foremost for me is clean construction. I have no problem with levels of detail - to each his or her own. I do like to add or change small, obscure items that modelers may notice (if they are familiar with the kit or real deal), but "outsiders" have no idea... I also like the concept of looking more detailed - either with careful painting or just indicators of thing that may or may not be completely detailed, if that makes sense.

Remember who you build for - yourself. It's not easy building models and documenting the process and posting on forums - both from the perspective of the time involved but also the inherent human factor. It's easy to see and remember critical posts and forget complimentary ones - human nature.

Popular here, too, you just see them on the highway, not off it...but the basic transport versions stopped with the earlier series. That's an 80 series, the one in my picture is a 105, not available in the US. Yes, the KITS of four door hi lux made it, but not the real trucks! 1984... Still, I am kind of wasting space here as I don't have a huge interest in off road models...

Oh, look... After working 12 months of hours in the last 4 months, I managed to get some time this weekend to dust (and hair) off my models... interior is close to completion: More sanding and painting as we speak, or read...

Don't get a NEO. Get an eclipse or comparable Badger model. I prefer my eclipse gravity feed over the siphon - and it comes with a cup cover. Also, cleaning shouldn't be a chore - spray cleaner through after painting, swab, and you should be good. Spray cleaner until no color is evident. You can tear down and clean, but that's not necessary after every change. I find, with the Iwata, thinner is better. Tamiya paints go in 1 part paint, 1 part thinner. Maybe a little more paint, but that's where I start with most ratios. Once you get in a groove, hopefully, you will find yourself spraying everything - it just gives a better finish and faster drying than hand painting or rattle cans.

:0!! I saw that too! We were on Fraser Island - almost completely made of sand...and my middle daughter couldn't dig in it enough! It was "old" sand too, so very soft...

Cool! Cool photos and model. Great presentation. I like it when models are photographed and look like real cars - yours are just the opposite (with small depth of field) but still look really cool.
