  1. I am working on the wiring for my Revell 1990 Mustang LX, and there is no coil in the kit. Online reserach indicates it is located on the shock tower, driver's side of the engine bay. It appears to be under some sort of cover? I can't tell really what's going on, but the Revell kit doesn't represent either a coil or the cover, so does anybody have a clear picture or first hand knowledge of the set up? Aftermarket and nonstock set ups are easy to find - I can't get a good view of the stock set up. Thanks!!
  2. Another great one Peter. I really like the clean construction and application of the foil on the rear windows. The stretcher looks fantastic too. Excellent work. Oh, the antenna! Nice!
  3. Great job. A very fine Mini. I like the color choice and stance - is it lowered?
  4. Ditto for WA. We are supposed to pay it on internet sales regardless of origin, but nobody does.
  5. Click2detail.com Finescale modeler had a short article about the company in the October issue.
  6. Interesting about the licensing fees for PUBLICLY OWNED agencies like police departments. Where do they get off? Do you need licensing rights to print Army decals?
  7. Somebody got a good deal, or not That "other" category is a model that's not real rare but somebody (at least two somebodies) are willing to pay large sums of currency for.
  8. I have purchased a couple from A/K Collectibles Seem likes a good shop to deal with and pretty fair prices. Can't order on the site, though, call or email.
  9. Yes, but still...compared to above... Then again, it's not a Mopar, so a little less craziness is expected
  10. If the TV is on, I watch it and forget to build. I never bother to turn music on. I guess I'm in the "silence is beautiful" crowd. Reminds me of the Groucho Marx quote: I find television very educating. Every time somebody turns on the set, I go to the other room and read a book
  11. Well, one a lot of modelers have probably seen, but still, almost $900 for a model puts it in another category of "rare"
  12. Licensing fall through for AMT? Interesting they had a Foose box back in 2006?
  13. My first kit: I would like to get another, but not bad enough I guess...
  14. Maybe I'll move to AZ. How much does it cost to cool an 82K sq ft space?
  15. I'd love to know how you did the final painting on the welds and engine area. Well, I'd love to see your techniques for the whole scene... Thanks for posting.
  16. Very nicely done - if you can say nicely about a rather gruesome scene. The weathering and detail painting throughout are great. I like the small gut pile...
  17. it looks like you put a lot of hard work into that model! Looks cool too. Did you scratchbuild all the TV stuff? Custom decals? Nice work.
  18. I have limited time in early spring and early fall (zero time June-Aug), so, yeah, winter is my big time. I am already ramping up with some new stuff to try this winter...and more models than I will build in 50 winters.
  19. Great model. I watched the wip - excellent work!
  20. Radio LCD was done with a coat of gunmetal paint and transparent Tamiya green. Thanks for input and looking!
  21. I did find some sweet reference photos:
  22. Wheel and tire update: Yes, whitewalls! Engine construction seems to be going really slow: And a bunch of painted parts: There are many nice pieces on this kit. I have a lot of small stuff being painted tonight and should see some jumps in progress the next few days.
  23. No fiction? I always say, well, not always...but... I read nonfiction to learn about the world and fiction to learn about myself. I'm talking good fiction - Dostoyevsky, Hemingway, Faulkner, etc. One of my favorite fiction books is "The Kingdom of This World" by Alejo Carpentier - a truly great book. Some of my favorite nonfiction: "Proofiness", Seife "The Drunkards Walk", Mlodinow "Mistakes Were Made, But Not By Me", on loan? "1491", Mann Too many to list...
  24. His vintage kits are priced high - very high on some.
  25. Nice bench Niko - but nicer location! Windows?!?! What is the little door next to the window? Great spot to work and chill.
