  1. Pedal sets for both auto and manual too. I am going with a mustard yellow...
  2. Tires again Decals Glass
  3. I was excited to see Aoshima's pre-production shots of this car and was eagerly awaiting the release...the wait is over! From what I know this is an all new tool - there are two versions, this being the "Standard 200" version - a base model car. My fav. A base model, four door, early 80s car. It is beautifully molded - crisp, clean, smooth. Only issue I see are the panel lines are a little light. Notice - the hood is not molded in even though it is a curbside - there is NO ENGINE. Excellent molding throughout the body with very faint mold lines - Revell needs to figure out who molds this stuff!!! Awesome steel wheels with open holes! Best part? Dog dish caps!!! Absolutely beautiful, flawless chrome! Great chrome - notice the delicate side view mirrors. Typical simplified chassis Hood Interior - again, molding is fantastic. Tires. Look like the old Satco tires a bit, but good looking tread. Raised letters are a little big. http://i966.photobucket.com/albums/ae145/erikmsmith/53B35F49-7883-4C31-BFC5-356C1794CBCC-1600-000000F010B5DE5A_zps4ebe9271.jpg Glass http://i966.photobucket.com/albums/ae145/erikmsmith/D95CA244-4859-402A-945F-0F01CA52EFCB-1600-000000EF8AA4B88C_zps8a5047ec.jpg And a nice decal sheet. http://i966.photobucket.com/albums/ae145/erikmsmith/5D4FF0D9-FC99-47F7-A98A-C6131B523F16-1600-000000EFCB8E031F_zps21ac92f5.jpg This kit looks very nice. Very very nice. This will get bumped up the "to build" line for sure. Other kit makers need to take note of Aoshima's quality here - there is basically no flash on this kit. Mold lines are faint. Chrome is probably the cleanest I have ever seen - and great attachment points on chrome parts too.
  4. Or he was really ahead of his time...
  5. 1986 - Google = huh? All well and good... I saw that Google image today and thought it was cool - didn't know why it was there. Now I do.
  6. I've always had to thin my Tamiya paints - usually close to 1:1 with my fine tip .3mm - even their clear colors - and spray around 18-20 psi. I use Tamiya thinner.
  7. Beautiful model of a beautiful car - actually, that model is about as cool as the real deal. Excellent work on that kit! Love the color combo and the extra work you put into the final product.
  8. Nice, clean model. Great job.
  9. MPC had 77-79 Chevettes - also, keep an eye out for promos - they tend to keep their body shape better than some of the old MPC kits...and can be found cheap.
  10. That's a neat kit, Mike. Does the motor go in the plastic engine block or a separate location? Those door frames look extremely fragile.
  11. Very nice looking model so far. I reall like the 1:1 Fiats - yes, retro, but it was a cool design, and the modern take on the original 500s is cool in it's own way (cute, at the least). They are quite a bit larger than the original too, but seating is still a little limited. I looked at one when we bought an economy car last year, but only four seats! I like the color choice too...
  12. Good looking model Bruce. That color looks at home on that body. Great additions to the kit too.
  13. Nice! Very cool model. Great work.
  14. I am actually in Seattle tonight! I wasn't alive in '62 though...
  15. Anybody know what year charger this is?
  16. Couple more pics:
  17. After seeing some really cool build-ups of a couple kits from Linberg's odd 1970's lineup, I was curious what kits were available... Hence, I did a little searching and came up with this list, for interested individuals. Since Round2 now owns Lindberg, maybe some of the more obscure kits could see light of day again. 1977 Buick Skyhawk 1975 Buick Century 1977 Olds Omega Pontiac Grand Prix 1977 Mercury Monarch 1976 Ford Grenada Ford Thunderbird Chevy El Camino Ford Torino Convertible Plymouth 'Cuda 1975? Chevy Monte Carlo Pontiac Ventura Dodge Charger 1974 Datsun 240z 1978 Chevy Monza Mercedes Benz 450SL 1976? Corvette 1976 ? Corvettte Convertible Dodge "Hot Shot" Charger 1977 Chrysler Cordoba 197? AMC Gremlin I am not interested in all the Lindberg 1/32 kits - only the ones produced through the 1970s, so please, if you would like to list the others, start an additional thread. Thanks! Here are some pictures of kits too: Some of the kits have been released a few times. Some are absolutely horrible looking, from what I can tell - specifically the El Camino and Corvette. If you have additional kits or photos, please post them! Some are not easy to find - kits or pictures! Thanks!
  18. Great work again. I am actually glad to see the problems with the doors - the window frame on mine was broke. When I bought it!
  19. Cool Bietle. Glad to have the experience on board!
  20. I don't know if you're just looking for the wide body cars from any maker or just the MPC kits, but Revell has a few as well. They have a Monza Super Spryder, Monza "Street Machine", Camaro, and, as I mentioned earlier, a Pontiac Sunbird. There are others... They had a number of the Omni kits with flares - no real "wide body" stuff though - one had a really big ugly nose spoiler...
  21. Tamiya has done American cars - Mustang and two Jeeps. I have not had any, but remember there being some issues with the accuracy on the Mustang??? Also, Tamiya, Fujimi, and Aoshima are successful in their home market - and that market obviously prefers some odd ball cars…well, they seem odd to us, but are popular items in Japan. Very different market.
  22. There was a Dodge Van too.
  23. I was thinking Pontiac Sunbird, but that's a Revell kit. Ford EXP Weren't there a few Corvettes too? Edit: the exp just has flares
  24. Looks like a great model. Great work on the frame swap. Only complaint would be the pictures - the wide angle distorts all the angles and gives a weird perspective.
