Why should they?
If you guys don't like it, I'm sure you won't buy it.
They're already getting difficult to get over here now which is good news for Revell AG.
Yes it has got a few extra tiny clear pieces. These alone in no way can turn it into a US spec car.
I'm getting fed up already here.
If it magically turns into a Rabbit on the trip across the Atlantic, so be it.
Well said James!
We don't look for Euro Spec American cars, they are American. That's what they are.
As I said you guys will probably be getting them both soon in an American Revell box.
Just remember they're European Spec cars, and if I hear anyone grumbling about it, I'll come over there there and fight ya!
A DS 23 Pallas efi should be easy enough, just needs a new front end and some details changed.
When the CX was introduced in 74, they kept selling the 23 Pallas for at least 12 months side by side, it was still much loved and was the best model of DS.
The block is the same, the 1.5 is on a carb with 70 hp, the 1.6 GTi with fuel injection had 112.
So both engines are much the same except for bits on the top for carb/injection.
Well it's available over this side of the pond and is selling very well.
I couldn't get a GTi, but I did get a Cabrio. Both kits are European Spec, so no Rabbit versions for you guys.
This Cabrio is the original spec 1.5 litre GLS.
It was also availabe as a GLi which has black wheelarch extensions and twin headlights and the GTi engine.
This looks really nice
I'll explain a bit on that one!
I got the new release Mk 1 VW Golf Cabrio from ROG a few days ago.
As soon as Geoff saw it he wanted one.
I wouldn't mind but he got his one cheaper! but he hasn't recieved it yet.
I'll be home in a couple of days and can post pics of it if anyone is interested.
I sold him a Fiesta many years ago, he was quite young back then. Nice chap, you wouldn't think he'd drive like a lunatic, he never lifts no matter how sideways he gets!
With your talent JC, I'm sure you could widen the kit Minilites?
You can do that, but if he's the "main driver" of the car it's illegal, anyway he needs to build up his own no claims record.
Didn't realise the R plate resticted you to 45 mph. They've just brought in something similar down here.
If you need someone to drive the Golf for a year, I can be up there in 2 hours easy. LOL
The cars built in Cork, Ireland would have been RHD too, but I don't think they were made before 1917.
I have a book on the Cork plant, but I can't find. Typical.. LOL
