  1. Nice stuff Tom...that 69 Impala wagon and ramblers are making me drool.... my mom owned a 69 Impala wagon.
  2. I try to keep mine fairly neat however the wife likes to put stuff that is in her way in the room and it piles up...from time to time I am guilty of just going in and stacking things up when time is an issue...reminds me I need to clean mine up too.
  3. Now there we go....Id buy a few of those and the 75/76 RR ones if they could be reissued.
  4. Id be glad to have any all new or reissued 60s to early 70s 4doors or wagons...full glue or snap kit as long as its realistic looking. I have a few ideas of my own on subjects but they will never happen so I try to make them myself...its not always easy to do...more kits of them would be nice though.
  5. Just had a trade with Rotorbolt73...Matt is a good guy to deal with gents.
  6. Welcome Robert....
  7. We need more of the old MPC kits to get reissued or refurbished...maybe they still have some that have not been modified from the original issues...? It would be nice to be able to have some of them and others that have not seen the light of day in over 20 years or more...might as well dream big right..?
  8. I am drooling.... I LOVE the big bodied Pontiacs...grew up with the real ones. I only have a few but they need a lot of parts and work to restore them...my family owned.... 64,66,67,68,69,70 Bonnevilles 64,69,70 wagons 53 Chieftain 2door sedan with a straight 8cyl,auto. 75 Trans Am 400ci,auto. 70 GTO 455ci,auto. 74 GTO 76 Grand Am/Can Am love to build some replicas of them all someday.
  9. Welcome Paul.... I have an old car that was my grandfathers its a Gardner doctors coupe...LOL... look forward to seeing some of your builds.
  10. Tom... I think they just got in and grabbed anything that was easy to pick up and go but it had to be more than one person. I did see a few that looked like mine on e-bay...the vary late 50s through mid 70s promos of Pontiac,Chrysler,Plymouth,Chevy,Cadillac,Ford, etc. promos and 60s,70s unbuilt kits many were rare muscle car ones. We did not have renters insurance...they also got a few old lighted signs auto and gas related ones. Who ever it was they thought and planed it out. I am happy to still have the ones they busted up bit trying to find the parts they will need to restore them on my budget is not going to be fun or easy...bummer.
  11. I have the same Maverick promo but its busted up....lucky find...love promos and restoring them.
  12. Thanks John....it does no damage to the boxes or walls really and makes really cool wall art. If its a cool box its stays...if not its for storage. I have a few cool old boxes...always looking for more and what was in them.
  13. Depending on just how and where its warped at but for the most part it will never be straight again...the plastic they used is the reason. I have fixed some but never could get them close enough. I have a few that look like a banana and there is just no fixing them...good for parts or...? once they are that way. They get brittle too to the point of thin glass almost...too bad I really like them.
  14. Art... I am glad they did not get to your shop...she deserved the rewards. Our house got broken into a couple of days before Christmas a few years ago...they tore a lot up and found my model room...they stole big boxes of old promos, unbuilt kits and build ups of my dads and mine... ...what they did not take they tossed around and stepped on or...?... . They ended up getting about 75% of everything I had from my and my dads collection....devastating...they even got a box of kits for the disabled builders group...the Grinch lives...
  15. If the boxes are from the 50s,60s,70s era I keep them love the old box arts...reminds me of better days...if I am having a bad day just to look at them makes me feel better in a way. I also use them for storage of kits, build ups and project builds/restoration projects. I never cut them up but have also used them for wall art...push a thumbtack through the bottom into the wall and just slip the box cover on it.
  16. Well there is also burglars getting into ones home and model room too like they did here a few years ago....
  17. Welcome Wayne....I am in west central IL. I have the same dream to get another chance at a few I had as a kid and hope to do better on them this time...
  18. I almost cut my right thumb off once....took it all the way to the bone...good thing it was a new blade... I also had some old rare models packed away in a good sized box for storage once and the wife decided to move some things...she stacked heavy stuff on top and the models at the bottom....
  19. Very nice Ron....and some wonder why I like promos so much...? There time pieces and full of memories.
  20. How did I miss this...???....AWESOME....! ...I love it... . I always got a kick out of the kits that were out that style.
  21. VERY NICE.... !
  22. I am putting one of those slant 4cyls in a old AMT 63 Tempest HT if I ever find the rest of the parts it needs...already have the engine.
