  1. If anyone is trying to build a Boss Hog 68 Cadillac Convertible and has a HT please do not cut it up...would trade my convertible for it.
  2. I have a build up of the kit of this but its missing a lot of parts....Nice work!
  3. Welcome Bill...
  4. Finding 60s/70s straight 6cyl engines/trans has always plagued my Chevy/Ford/Plymouth/AMC projects. The AMT 69 Firebird kit has a nice in line 6cyl (Sprint 6 engine) in it.
  5. I understand what everyone here has said but to me it seems to be just a waste of a decent condition old car even if its a 4 door...seen way too many done that way around here...one was a 70 Plymouth Superbird a guy let sit in a hog lot and it eventually just rotted away to the point where once they did move it the car ripped in 1/2... ...I offered to buy or trade something for it for over 10 years but the guy said he hated it and it was going to just sit there as it did which he later scrapped it...I just cant get myself to understand people like that.
  6. Steve... I agree with the guys...cool and needs to get finished...nice details.
  7. Me too....specially the ones that had engines like your avatar photo with blowers on them.
  8. Id like to find the Pontiac TA one....looks cool...
  9. Well that figures....probably would not show up at our hobby lobby anyway i guess....bummer.
  10. I wish ours would get the newer kits in...been wanting a couple of the new Dukes Charger snap kits...ours probably wont get them in as usual...
  11. I need to get my hands on a couple of those snaps...but they have not shown up around here. Would be interested in trading for a couple of them if anyone has extras of them...just PM me.
  12. Ray... count me in the group too...I have a lot of cool ideas for builds but too often I lack ether the parts or experience to do some major modifications Id like to try...like converting some cars into late 60s or early 70s station wagons, opening doors with realistic looking hinges that work right...then there is always Murphy's luck or curse...
  13. Looks good to me...
  14. Chris...tell me about it...I love models/promos from this era and like the big bodied cars. I have some others but have to find/afford needed part to restore them. I have a goal to build vehicles the family owned for the memories.
  15. Rich... if i find myself in your place here i will sometime build or restore something a bit different than my norm. You build/restore them so beautifully and have a good stash by the sound of it...that alone would give me the drive buddy....
  16. Very nice Clayton and for him to want to give them back to you just shows the friendship you have shared along with the love of building. I have built a few for others too like you did for him as a gift...very nice of you and him.
  17. I need to have your luck....been after a 64 Pontiac to convert into a 4door wagon like my mom use to own for awhile now...I have loads of memories riding in the back of it as a kid...LOL...
  18. i have always loved the 3 in 1 kits....the extras one decides not to use on it are an incentive to buy another kit to use them on and that is good for business specially these days. Its also kind of like a thank you for buying the companies kit and or kits to many builders...if one has building options with a kit it sparks creativity and drive to build and buy more of them. There is a reason why 3 in 1 kits sell so well and are desired by most builders....they all got it right back in the 60s through mid 70s era in my opinion. Costs of kits will always go up nothing we can do about it so we might as well get a bit more for the money if we can.
  19. Nice crane and idea....I have been wanting to build a 60s junk yard crane for years now.
  20. That Amntiy Police Blazer is very nice...love it...! Still waiting for the Dukes Charger snap to show up around here I need 2 of them to restore a couple of old promos of my dads that got damaged badly. Nice work guys.
  21. Welcome Ian....not much for the Nascars but the 60s to mid 70s era but nice build...
  22. Snaps.... I love the old 50s through 70s snap and Craftsman kits specially the Johan and AMT ones...nice builds guys.
