Oh That is SWEET...! I love the 69,70 GPs...my parents use to own a 69,70,71...they need to re-issue these things I need some for my family replica collection...NICE...!
I never could build that style but did cut up a few to make drag cars out of them...now I find how hard it is to find needed parts and restore them I just cant.
Thanks Joe!.... I am just trying to help others that are often forgotten. While I am in no real position to fund it I have for the most part of 5 years on my own...rough times found me too and the donations of kits are a huge blessing to them and the builders group it helps keep it all going. I do have to agree with you on donating funds...there lucky if they see 20 cent on a dollar in the end most times. Here I have a policy...nothing ever goes to waste all and any extra parts get used on other future projects its just how I was raised. Having been there with nothing to do for months on end but lay in a bed and watch TV all day long I just had to try to change it somehow if I could.
Hi Brain buddy!.... We try to get as many together as possible but health, etc. makes it tough so i do one on one with many of them. Congrats on yours...snap kits are good for all ages they still can be built into very nice models...my problem is my group likes the late 50s through 70s body styles not many snap kits out there in that body style. They seem to enjoy them as much as the glue kits...LOL... I have only gotten my nephew to built one snap kit but trying to get him more interested in them. Yep we have fun together in the group...nice to see them active too.
Very nice....I started to build a couple of dioramas and made good progress on both but will have to start over from scratch thanks to some bandits everything was a total loss
They look good to me Steve... . Been wanting to cast some stuff myself someday but need to learn how to do bigger parts...bodies,hoods,etc. I have made small item before with use-able results but did not use resin.
I feel the same way Carl....see too many at times just off the road missing their heads. Many areas have programs to use killed deer to feed needy families.
Its about time...LOL...I figured once some of my dads oldies are restored it would be a great way to display them in a case...just hope our hobby lobby gets them in.
