I heard a rumor maybe in December 2013...ether way it cant be soon enough for me.

Id really build anything but there are models i could build as many as I could get a hold of...there is always another way to be built from the last version done.

The passion for building is a on-going learning process that gets in your blood quickly...time and experience is the best teacher. There are many great people here with various talents or specialties to learn from...never be afraid to ask a question.

Hi Anne... I just use spray cans myself never used an airbrush...with practice and proper use you can get a nice paint job from spray cans.

I pretty much agree with all you guys.... If a promo has damage that would lessen its chance of being restored properly then it will make a great model done it to a few myself. For me if it can be restored to original shape I will restore them otherwise it will become a model project.,,in some cases its the only way to get the car or body style of one due to no kit being made of it. There were many promos in my dads old collection I have several restored now... 70 GTO 74 Cuda 73 Firebird Formula 400 56 Olds Holiday 4door...etc.... the ones that can not be restored will become models so their not going to waste.

I am the only one here that is into the hobby but my dad use to build i have his collection and my goal is to restore them someday when the needed parts are found for them..so i guess its a sort of family thing???

Yep its a real kit only thing is it had a mid to early 70s Camaro kit inside it....had one as a kid wish I still had at least the box.

The guys are right... trust is given but also has to be earned. Once others get use to you or other new ones they will get to know other new ones and give opportunities with trade deals it took me awhile to get known here as well. For those that want to find out what a possible trader is like may I suggest checking with some of their passed trades or their friends listed under their profile here to see what kind of person they are in their experiences with them. Trust is a very valuable thing and should be held in a high reverence....a mans word is who he is to others.

I have that problem of parts just vanishing into thin air.... What troubles me the most is being a restorer of the older kits/builds is finding those hard to find one or two parts needed to complete one enough to start on the restoration process...many of them have sat for 15 years waiting.

Ill have to try and convert the 4door into the wagon on my budget...bummer.

Beautiful work!!!!! I have been trying to restore a old one from my dads collection that rough and missing parts. If yours was med. blue with black vinyl it would look just like the one my dad drove..just awesome!!!!

How much is the wagon conversion or do I want to know???
