    Welcome Mike..! Im like many of us here..a life long modeler. I cant imagine it without it. I have very fond memories of riding in the family wagons too...hoping to sometime make some replicas of them for my collection. and others.

    Pat.... where did you get the nose conversion...??? I have this kit and have been wanting to do the same thing with it since we once owned one.

    I love it...want one...LOL.. My family once was lucky enough to have a real 70 and a 71....got both in scale models but they both need a ton of parts and work.

    Sorry to hear that.... I know how you feel. In 2011 we had a tornado here and windows to my model room got blown out along with most of mine sadly...some Ill never be able to get a hold of again or replace .

    Steve...LOL.. I too love some of the so called ugly vehicles...some are so ugly there just cool...LOL.. But for me I want to make replicas of the ones the family had owned over the years...have some of them but they all need parts i just cant get a hold of...??? I have a huge parts needs list for them all I do have...just have to find someone that has them and is willing to parts or help with them for me to restore them into the ones we owned once...??? Would be a shame to see them go to waste since they were my dads old models.

    Al my friend.... I thought of that too...bad thing is I need some parts that are unique to the 70 and 71 Cyclones. bumpers taillights glass chassis some interior parts trunk spoilers etc. Might be able to get some parts for them from the MPC Nascar kit if I had any of them..???

    Steve.... I am very sorry to hear that. I went through that myself shortly after we moved into the house were in now....lost quite a few sentimental things due to it.... models...old toys...promos..dealership items...photos...etc. had to toss out most everything that was down there...horrible thing to have to go through. Keep your chin up best you can.

    Me too...! I have the 70 and 71 of my dads but they need a lot of parts and some work....we once owned a real one years ago Id love to make a replica of someday. I always loved the shape of these cars..they look mean just sitting there.

    Robert.... Unfortunately in time everything changes...sometimes not for the better. I some way everyone just wants to be left alone to live their lives as they wish to or like they would like it to be. For the most part I think the old phase of living the American dream is out the window in some way these days but we just have to see if we can make the best of it as we can..its still the best country to be in. I have to deal with a lot where Im at...some things are just stupid but its life.

    Carl my brother... You have that one right and the situation has no improved here ether at all....much worse. I feel for anyone having to live on what we end up with. Is he on the site here..??? I really dig the resin 80s Chevy crew cab long bed too...looks very nicely done to me.

    Thank you Mike.... Id love to find the old original grilles and turn signal bars for them if possible...plating condition not important ether. If I have to go resin Ill try to get some somehow. The flat hoods would be great as well like the early ones had..?
