  1. ..... ...sad thing is I have a 63 Mercury Parklane convertible promo that needs parts...there not on that one far as I can tell..?
  2. Bill...I can relate to that thought...specially if a move is in the works. Me Ill probably be here for the rest of my life and have gotten very nice parts bins for storage...just have to organize stuff yet. Stuff I never use Ill find a home for with someone else that could.
  3. How about the ones for the old (Touch Tone Terror) kit.
  4. Bill...I never put anything model or promo related in the round file bin...LOL...it has to be completely un-usable for that to happen.
  5. I love them old Dodge cabs...if I had one I would have another project....LOL..
  6. Nice..! I love to see these old survivors. You did a great job on it.
  7. Welcome..! I have very few of my childhood ones left...yep they were badly done too...LOL... Now I find myself looking for them so I can have them again and do much better this time on them. There are many very nice people on here always willing to try and help out another modeler...looking forward to seeing some of your work.
  8. Very nice work guys..! I have the old Craftsman one...sadly it needs another good body, glass, and wheels to restore it. My grandmother owned a 66 HT...Id like to make mine like hers was.
  9. Thanks Snake.
  10. Nice find and deal. Its nice to find something from the past to restore.
  11. Me... I am here because we can share tips..information..help each other...learn from each other...and see what all everyone has found or their work let alone the friendships I have gained over the years with others here. Is it not good to be with a bunch of others that love the same life of building..? Id say yes. Everyone here has something to offer others can learn from no matter what age or skill level they are at....we all had to start somewhere. Me I even just enjoy seeing what is still out there from the past and present others find...good for the memories of much better days. We all in our own way are craftsman and artist...we create works of art in our own way or best we can.
  12. Welcome Chandler..! Were glad to have you joint us all. I have a brother in law that lives in the Tyler area.
  13. Still its cool and looks good to me...I am into promos and promo like stuff. I have messed with them for many years and enjoy them just as much as the full detail stuff. Funny thing is I have a 64 Chevelle SS HT promo that was my dads I need to find parts for and restore it...restoring these things is quite rewarding to me kind of like saving some automotive and model history.
  14. LOL.... As a kid we used cotton balls to make tire smoke with....with some practice it looks decent.
  15. Yep many of the snap kits used screws to hold them together....I like it ether way myself. Most promos have the cars year date on the plates.
  16. Xs 2 Very nice..!
  17. David....WOW...! How did I miss this...? It looks real...very very nice work. My brother owned a 92 Rally Sport 25th anniversary edition in the same colors. Stunning work..! I really need to get into building a few of the 1/8 th scale ones myself.
  18. Very nice work John buddy....keep at it.
  19. Very very cool Pat....also love the shop equipment...! You got me wanting to make a shop now...LOL..
