Id LOVE to see these make it back out too...would be great if they would reissue the old model kits with the complete bonus kits or accessories they had. Anyone can see they would be great sellers.
Glad all of you that are in recovery are doing better and for the ones still working on it hang in there. Me Id be happy to feel my age instead of feeling like I am in my 70s or 80s....I am just glad I wake up in the morning now.
Yesterday my brother of all people shows up at my house and gives me a 64 Mercury Parklane convertible promo that is damaged he found...got to find the glass and frame, top boot, bumpers, taillights and steering wheel to restore it...too cool not to.
Welcome Tim..! For me the golden age of building was the 60s and 70s stuff....glad some are making a came back. Your right...once a builder always a builder...I cant imagine life without plastic...would be very boring for me.
Stan....All good advise here. I have been there many times myself...still have those days when nothing seems to go right. Best advise anyone ever gave me on building is.... Treat every part as if it were a model itself. Build for you or what makes you happy with them. Building is no race...build at your own speed and the results will show it...after time they will all start to look much better as each one you build you learn from. If you love it never give up...me if I am having a bad building day I just take a break for awhile on them. Me I have been looking for old parts to my dads old ones that need restored for MANY years now and will never give up on them.
Harry....A friend of mine had the port put in...he never regretted it...it makes things just a bit easier for you. Be strong and hang in there...prayers and thoughts are with you.
