I like this Bill! I once had a friend who has since past who owned a '55 Crown Vic painted with white over Neptune Green with a continental kit with Chilly Willy painted on it. What a nice car!

Thank you Gene! I saw this model earlier this year and I thought about a Roadrunner with a bench seat and a column shifted automatic. I bought the kit last June and I had to build it. Then the paint jobs went bad and I pushed this to the back of the bench. Last week I decided to finish it and it looks good!

I had once mentioned to others about combining the leftover '29 Model A Roadster and the '30 Model A Coupe parts and combining them into one model. That was until I did my research and found that there is no second body in the Roadster kit like I thought there was. Club member John Davison offered me his '29 Ford Model A Roadster parts kit for this build and I thanked him for it! But, what I got was a nearly complete kit for nothing! Thank you, John!!! John used 3 parts out of the kit and those pieces wouldn't affect to outcome of my build. A lowboy '29 with a SBC and 3 deuces, interior pieces from the '30 Model A Coupe such as the bucket seats, open back interior and cut-out interior panels. My paint will be Dupli-Color Stellar Blue Pearl with a light tan interior and emobssing powder for carpet. Let's see what I can do with this. More Model A to come...

Thank you Tony and Christopher!

Thanks Anton! I need to to up my pace on this one as time is running out for this build-off I am involved with on another site.

I'm sure you'll look at the photos and say to yourself, "What has he done?" I removed the side moldings from the body. At first I used a coarse sanding stick followed by my Dremel. The Dremel removed most of the molding and a fine sanding stick is helping to smooth it all out. I still have a ways to go!

The Story McNally tells Darvell to stay put and he walks out of the garage and he pulls out his cellphone and he calls Mr. Virden to set up a meeting with Alexander Cannon. Virden says to meet at Legal Seafood down by the dock at Boston Harbor at 1:30 PM for a quick meeting. This is where Cannon will be having lunch with his wife. McNally says thank you and he hangs up while he goes back to the garage and he tells Darvell to be on his best behavior and everything will be fine. McNally goes into the haouse to change clothes for his meeting with Cannon. The Build The chassis is 95% complete! McNally will return...

Thank you guys! I love everything about this build. It came out just right.

Thanks DW and Bill! I don't have the Stone, Woods and Cook Willys. But, I have tires for Blasphemi and the wheels might do if I narrow the fronts.

My '71 Roadrunner is complete and posted in Under Glass. I would like to thank everyone who has viewed and commented on my WIP.

Scott, what became of this project? I have the same kit as you and there should be two seats in the kit.

This is my '30 Model A Coupe painted with Tamiya TS-23 Light Blue with a white interior. and embossing powder for carpet. Built box stock with a wired engine.

Thanks Greg! I had forgotten the radiator hose. I went and added the hose and change the photo.

This is my '71 Roadrunner 440 painted with Model Master Green Go aka Sassy Grass Green with a Tamiya TS-29 Semi Gloss Black and embossing powder for carpet. I removed the center console and added a column shifter and tachometer. I cut up the bucket seats and added the seating surfaces to a JoHan bench seat and split the seat back. I used the decals and wheels and tires to the Fast & Furious Dom's GTX for my Roadrunner.

I have made a change. I happen to have found a 1/24 scale '55 Chevy Gasser also known as the Monogram '55 Chevy Street Machine. This should help me a lot better than the AMT '55 Chevy Bel Air Street Machine kit that I received earlier in 2021. I have my Hemi engine with it many hop-ups, but this will not be an exact copy of Blasphemi. It may be close, but not exact. More Blasphemi to come...

AMT '67 Mustang Fastback-Now in Under Glass Section
mrmike replied to mustang1989's topic in WIP: Model Cars
I like how this Mustang is progressing, Joe! Good job! -
Looking good John! I just got a Monogram '55 Chevy and I am going to attempt to make Blasphemi, the drag car owned by Mike Finnegan of Hot Rod Magazine. Keep up the good work, mt friend!

Thanks Tom, Bob and Andy! I don't know why Revell makes those frames and rear axles that way. You can always remove the mounts from the frame and let the rear axle hang from the rear coil-overs and the radius rods.
-
Thanks Stephen! I installed the chassis into the body and added my heater hoses. This took me some finagling as the chassis didn't want to move forward like it should. I think the issue was the engine fan and the radiator were hitting each other. More Plymouth to come...

More work done on the '30 Ford Model A Coupe. I want this to be finished on Saturday morning before I head off to the latest meeting of the Classic Plastic Model Club. I added more of the suspension pieces and then I added the body. The last picture shows the top added to the rest of the body, but it is not glued on yet. One of the things I had noticed earlier was that the interior seat would not fit through the open top like the instructions show. The seat is just too wide and so the top is still loose! I need to paint the rear interior surround where the top meets the body so that all is the same flat white color. More Model A to come...
-
I got the interior floor added with embossing powder for carpet, the fuel cell and battery along with the exhaust system. I painted the mufflers red to simulate Cherry Bomb mufflers. More Model A to come...

Thanks David and Carl! I added my license plate to the rear bumper and in the process of doing so, I broke the joint between the bumper and valance panel. A little glue and hopefully I have the correct angle and it is correct. I painted the taillights with Tamiya X-27 Clear Red and Tamiya XF-2 Flat White. I added the radiator and detailed the engine compartment. The interior has been painted and ready for the glass to be installed. More Plymouth to come...
