Thank you Bob! The actual car was IMHO, two different cars. One had the scripts on the hood and a different shade of yellow compared to the car used in the episode, "Jack-Knife" which had no hood scripts and slightly narrower tires.

This is the kit that I used, plus I "stole" the hood from a previously built Challenger. Thank you David, Bill, Greg and Mario.

This is my NCIS 1971 Dodge Challenger Hemi R/T painted with Tamiya TS-16 Yellow with a Tamiya TS-29 Semi Gloss Black interior, Hemi and pistol-grip shifter from the Revell '70 Hemi 'Cuda, hood stripe from Keith Marks and rear wing spoiler from my parts box.

Thank you Mario, Dominick and Matt! I am so happy that I found that fifth tire. I have nothing in my spares that comes even remotely close to this and I searched everywhere for it! For me, the spare tire for a Land Rover belongs on the hood and no where else. .

Thanks Bob! I started thinking, did I accidentally throw the tire away? Did I accidentally put it into another model kit? Did I put it away by mistake? Well, I put it away in a parts drawer that I usually don't go into much and there it was! Such a sigh of relief!

Well, I knew I had misplaced the fifth tire and I found it. Apprently, I put it away in one of my parts drawers. I added the extra wheel and glued them to the hood of my Land Rover Series III LWB. The hood is not made for this application, but the spare tire looks good up there just like the rest of the pictures I have seen. I added a piece of guitar wire for the antenna.

I just checked his website and he has the Jaguar XK-E Coupe in stock, but he doesn't have a lot of anything in stock. He is out-of-stock on the majority of items. I would cancel your order with him and go somewhere else where the item is in stock and order from them.

Looks good Bob! I built one a few years ago and I found out the this kit had the mis-shapened cowl which I never knew about and Lindberg had recalled the kit. Someone tried to tell me about it and he couldn't tell me straight out that the cowl was badly mis-shaped. I built the model and no one has said anything to me about it since!

I am inclined to agree with you, Gareth! This paint went on kinda thick and sanding it roughed up the surface, but without the much of the usual sanding marks that can marr a plastic surface. This should look really good!

I sanded the hood yesterday and I am heading to the kitchen sink for a good scrubbing with Dawn Dish Detergent and warm water. When this has dried, a repaint in in order with Model Master Green Go. More Plymouth to come...

The Story The Coroner opens the body bag and McNally looks at the face of the victim and he says he doesn't recognise him. Lt. Det. Troy says that he had his business card in his wallet. Maybe he got the business card from Attorney Charlotte Rothmann and he never got to contact McNally? McNally will ask her when he meets her for breakfast at the Comet Diner later in the morning. The Coroner zips up the bag and his assistant moves the body to the Coroner's Van for loading. The victim is Shawn Whittaker from Alston, MA and he was reporting to Fenway Park for work helping with the cleanup. Why he was killed is now a complete mystery to the Police and they were just starting the investigation. McNally will ask Charlie about the business card that was found on the victim and Det. Darvell would be in charge of the investigation from this point on since Lt. Det. Troy has to get back to the Precinct for the Commander's Meeting. The Build At this point, the Hemi engine is complete. My guess is that the car would be a 3.5 Ltr. V6 powered car, but this kit has a 5.7 Ltr. Hemi. I've been painting other necessary parts including the chassis. The chassis will need to be painted with overspray. McNally will return...

Thanks Carl and David! Actually there is only one mirror on the Gibbs Challenger. I painted the rear spoiler flat black. I added the front bumper from the Revell '70 'Cuda but it is wider than the AMT Challenger bumper and the shape on the ends are different. I guess I'm going back the AMT Challenger bumper and I have to rechrome it. The rear bumper and taillight panel have been installed. More NCIS to come...

Yes, it has been a while since I worked on Gibbs Challenger R/T. Last night I started assembly of the Challenger and I must say this is a challenge for me. Everything I touch on this model goes bad for me! I got the body, interior and chassis installed as one. The Revell 426 Hemi has been installed and fits the chassis perfectly. I am trying to find out if the Challenger had dual chrome side mirrors or just one and I need to paint the rear spoiler flat black. More NCIS to come...

Thanks Bob! I have assembled many, many model car kits over the years and every single one of them in full detail has the transmission connected to the engine except this one and its variants. The other Dodge Chargers I have assembled over the years, I have left the trans seperate from the engine, but no more as I have joined them together.

The Story Lt. Det. Troy pulls out his cellphone and he calls McNally and asks that he come down to the parking lot near Fenway Park to identify the corpse. Det. Darvell walks over to update the Lieutenant and he sees McNally's card in Shawn Whittaker's wallet and asks if Lt. Det. Troy had called him. Adam is getting upset with Det. Darvell's poor attitude towards McNally and tells him he should show more gratitude towards someone who has helped solve a few cases when Darvell couldn't. Darvell says that McNally has messed up a few cases which is not the truth and then Adam yells at him and he apologizes and he waddles away from the Lieutenant looking for more clues and he doesn't find any. A short while later and McNally arrives on the scene and he is ushered in. The Build One of the things I don't like about this kit and it varients is the transmission and the engine are two different items and they are mounted in the chassis that way. I added a piece of .020 inch thick styrene between the two and glued them together and place them in the chassis. A perfect fit! McNally will return...

I'm not judging... Thanks Anton! I had high hopes for this build and as my paint job went bad, my hopes went down the drain. It should have been finished months ago, but like everything else, life got in the way as well.

The Story Lt. Det. Troy drives out to the parking lot across from Fenway Park and he gets out of the car and he inspects that there are plenty of detectives, the coroner and her assistant, the Crime Scene truck and crew. He hears a siren coming and he sees Det. Steven Darvell racing to a stop and getting out of his Detectives Car with his 32 ounce coffee travel mug, taking a drink out of it and then throwing the travel mug back into his car.
