  1. Thank you guys! I love everything about this build. It came out just right.
  2. Thanks DW and Bill! I don't have the Stone, Woods and Cook Willys. But, I have tires for Blasphemi and the wheels might do if I narrow the fronts.
  3. My '71 Roadrunner is complete and posted in Under Glass. I would like to thank everyone who has viewed and commented on my WIP.
  4. My '30 Ford Model A Coupe is complete and posted in Under Glass. I would like to thank all who have viewed and posted in my WIP.
  5. Scott, what became of this project? I have the same kit as you and there should be two seats in the kit.
  6. This is my '30 Model A Coupe painted with Tamiya TS-23 Light Blue with a white interior. and embossing powder for carpet. Built box stock with a wired engine.
  7. Thanks Greg! I had forgotten the radiator hose. I went and added the hose and change the photo.
  8. This is my '71 Roadrunner 440 painted with Model Master Green Go aka Sassy Grass Green with a Tamiya TS-29 Semi Gloss Black and embossing powder for carpet. I removed the center console and added a column shifter and tachometer. I cut up the bucket seats and added the seating surfaces to a JoHan bench seat and split the seat back. I used the decals and wheels and tires to the Fast & Furious Dom's GTX for my Roadrunner.
  9. I have made a change. I happen to have found a 1/24 scale '55 Chevy Gasser also known as the Monogram '55 Chevy Street Machine. This should help me a lot better than the AMT '55 Chevy Bel Air Street Machine kit that I received earlier in 2021. I have my Hemi engine with it many hop-ups, but this will not be an exact copy of Blasphemi. It may be close, but not exact. More Blasphemi to come...
  10. I like how this Mustang is progressing, Joe! Good job!
  11. Looking good John! I just got a Monogram '55 Chevy and I am going to attempt to make Blasphemi, the drag car owned by Mike Finnegan of Hot Rod Magazine. Keep up the good work, mt friend!
  12. Thanks Tom, Bob and Andy! I don't know why Revell makes those frames and rear axles that way. You can always remove the mounts from the frame and let the rear axle hang from the rear coil-overs and the radius rods.
  13. Thanks Stephen! I installed the chassis into the body and added my heater hoses. This took me some finagling as the chassis didn't want to move forward like it should. I think the issue was the engine fan and the radiator were hitting each other. More Plymouth to come...
  14. More work done on the '30 Ford Model A Coupe. I want this to be finished on Saturday morning before I head off to the latest meeting of the Classic Plastic Model Club. I added more of the suspension pieces and then I added the body. The last picture shows the top added to the rest of the body, but it is not glued on yet. One of the things I had noticed earlier was that the interior seat would not fit through the open top like the instructions show. The seat is just too wide and so the top is still loose! I need to paint the rear interior surround where the top meets the body so that all is the same flat white color. More Model A to come...
  15. I got the interior floor added with embossing powder for carpet, the fuel cell and battery along with the exhaust system. I painted the mufflers red to simulate Cherry Bomb mufflers. More Model A to come...
  16. Thanks David and Carl! I added my license plate to the rear bumper and in the process of doing so, I broke the joint between the bumper and valance panel. A little glue and hopefully I have the correct angle and it is correct. I painted the taillights with Tamiya X-27 Clear Red and Tamiya XF-2 Flat White. I added the radiator and detailed the engine compartment. The interior has been painted and ready for the glass to be installed. More Plymouth to come...
  17. Another hurdle has been cleared! Foiling is done! It sucks when you have to add Metal Foil Adhesive before you have to add your Bare Metal Foil. More Plymouth to come...
  18. The Story McNally arrives home from his breakfast meeting with Attorney Charlotte Rothman. He parks the Super Bee in the driveway and goes into the house and upstairs to his bedroom to change into his work clothes so he can work on his old Plymouth ‘Cuda. An old t-shirt, jeans and sneakers and he is off to the garage with a bottle of water to work on the Dart. He unlocks the garage door and lifts the door over his head and walks inside and over to the bench where the Six Barrel carbs are sitting on the bench. He turns on the lights and picks up a screwdriver and finishes assembling one of the three carbs that go on the engine and he works on the carbs for several hours. The old Plymouth ‘Cuda was a project for him and getting it running again was a requirement for McNally. The car had been between his garage and his friend Vic’s shop for some time and he wanted to get it running again. He had been working on the carbs for several hours when he hears someone coming up the driveway towards the garage. He kept a Smith & Wesson Model 36 .38 caliber revolver with a 3 inch barrel hidden on the bench top just in case of emergency, but it wasn’t needed today as it was only Det. Steven Darvell waddling up to the garage. “McNally, you should post a sign on the front door telling people you are in the garage,” says Darvell walking into the garage. “Detective, I don’t do that with the hope that they would just go away. What do you want?” “You are going to introduce me to Alexander Cannon. Let’s go,” he says grabbing McNally’s arm. McNally throws off Darvell’s hand and says, “Why should I introduce you to Cannon?” “Because I said so,” Darvell says as he grabs McNally by the arm again. Once again, McNally throws off Darvell’s hand, jumps off his workbench stool and grabs and twists Darvell’s arm behind his back and pushes him up against the ‘Cuda. Darvell rests his head against the roof of the ‘Cuda and sighs. McNally lets go of the over-weight detective and lets him turn around to face the Boston PI. “What the Hell is the matter with you? You have never approached me like this before.” The Build I got the Charger into a coat of Dupli-Color grey primer in prep for the Dupli-Color Forest Green Pearl paint. McNally will return...
  19. Since the paintbooth was fired up today, I painted the firewall and the rooftop with Tamiya TS-26 Pure White. The rooftop will get a coating of flat or semigloss clear afterwards. More Model A to come...
  20. I am liking this GTX convertible, John! Good job!
  21. Thanks Bob!
  22. A great job done on your Land Rover!
  23. Thanks John and Tony! Since I have been swearing off Model Master/Testors paints, my next choice was Tamiya paints. Tamiya paints are a very forgiving paint and I have used it with and without primer with no issues at all. One thing I have been doing lately is washing the body and related parts with Dawn Dish Detergent to remove any mold release that is on the plastic.
  24. Thanks Trevor, Randy, Carl, John and Andrew! I love this color and now I am starting to realize why some kits take so long to build. It's the details that I like to add.
  25. The engine came from the AMT 1971 Duster 340 kit. I originally got the 340 for another project, but that was cancelled as I had a change of heart. Many Dart GTS' came with the 340 engine, so I added that engine to my build.
