  1. The Story McNally calls 9-1-1 and requests an ambulance and the Police to come to the scene. He places his rolled-up jacket under Rhonda's head and he looks around the area for any clues and he doesn't see any in the dark. He looks the dog over who has since quieted down some and he gets his bottle of water and he finds an old hub cap and pours some of the water in and he tries to give some to Rhonda. He hears sirens coming and then an ambulance pulls up behind his car and stops. A short while later, a Police cruiser arrives. The Build The chassis is painted and assembled! The engine has been detailed and wired. The wheel covers have been painted with Model Master Gunmetal Metalizer and a silver Sharpie. McNally will return...
  2. Thanks Jeremy and John! I have all the Jesse Stone movies on DVD and I watch them every once in a great while. I watched the pilot for the new Magnum PI until they destroyed the 308 GTSi and I just couldn't bear to watch anymore.
  3. Since I had the can of Wimbledon White out, I painted a few more parts. I painted the seat, but I won't clearcoat it since I like the color and finish for a parchment colored seat.
  4. That is an excellent idea, Dennis! I'll have to give it a try! Thanks! The Story McNally drives along on Shallotte St. and he hears the dog barking again and he stops and listens. The barking seems closer than it was earlier this afternoon. He continues driving and he looks up the driveway to a warehouse and he sees the dog that is barking and barking. McNally drives up to the barking dog and he stops just short of the warehouse corner and he gets out of his car and slowly walks over to the dog as he approaches the corner he sees a foot on the ground and he goes over to body. It is Rhonda Hawkins and she is unconscious, but alive! The Build I have painted the wheels with Model Master Wimbledon White and the chassis has been painted with Tamiya Semi Gloss Black. McNally will return...
  5. I finally got the Ferrari into a coat of Tamiya Light Grey Primer. I'll sand this out when the primer is nice and dry. I will have to fix the front panel since the plastic cracked due to it being so brittle. More Magnum to come...
  6. The Story McNally met Angus Burrows while he was in the US Army. Angus was an instructor at the base teaching Covert Surveillance Applications and McNally was one of his pupils. The class was a tough one for McNally, so he studied this class more than the others and asked more questions and he did rather well with it. When McNally graduated, he became friends with Angus until he retired a couple of years later and he returned to England. He has worked on his farm ever since. The Build Adding the driveshafts had created a problem...the engine was cockeyed! I ended up removing the engine and shortening the housing for the front driveshaft. This put the engine back into the motor mounts like it should instead of sitting on the edge of the engine mount. Now, everything sits straight! McNally will return...
  7. Thank you Dann! This kit was a challenge to build and part may have been me trying to build it, too. I just hope the new Revell Jag XK-E Coupe is better to build!
  8. The Story The National Crime Agency sends a team of investigators to Alston-at-Harkness and the McCann Farm. While they are looking around at McCann Farm, Agent Barchans of the NCA is at the Police Station with PC Dunbarton questioning him about Alfred McCann and what he knows about him. McNally walks into the Police Station to check up on PC Dunbarton and Agent Barchans says no comments to any information to anyone. Dunbarton explains that McNally is a former Boston Police Department Police Officer and that he can be trusted. Barchans wants McNally out of the Station and the area. The Build I spent a little time on the Land Rover yesterday. I painted the hubs and the lugnuts with Tamiya Semi Gloss Black.. I got the driveshafts and the radiator installed. Then, I noticed that the lower radiator hose was missing and I made one out of some tubing I had lying around on the bench.
  9. Thank you Chris!
  10. Thanks Guido! I was going to start painting the F100 Ranger today, but it is raining and 8-12 inches of snow later. This is what I get for not watching the forecast like I should!
  11. Thank you Carl, Chris and Gareth!
  12. Thank you Bruce!
  13. Thank you Patric and Gareth!
  14. I have been rereading the instructions and staring at the box art again and I have decided to go with the deluxe tu-tone paint scheme (orange over white) instead of the combination tu-tone paint scheme (white, orange, white). I once had a '79 F150 with the deluxe tu-tone paint scheme (silver and dark blue) and it just seems simpler and more attractive to me.
  15. For a second year in a row, I'll miss the sidecar racers. Those guys are just plain nuts when it comes to racing!
  16. Thank you Bruce! Yes, this is the Heller kit and it is the last Heller kit I will ever build!

    AMT 69 Cougar

Looks great randyc! Reminds me of the '69 Cougar 428 SCJ I built several years ago.
  18. Yes, the Estate known as "Robin's Nest" was torn down. The Estate was sold for $8.7 Million. Thanks Kurt and Carl! Yes, there is only one Magnum PI and that is Tom Selleck!
  19. I just read that the Isle of Man TT Races have been cancelled for 2021. Thanks Covid-19! I have always looked forward to these races in June, but not this year. This is the second year that the TT Races have been cancelled.
  20. The plastic in this kit is definitely brittle! I broke the cowl for the Ferrari. I decided to add a piece of .020 styrene about 2 inches long and glued the whole thing together. I'll use my Dremel to grind the excess away when all has dried. I added the broken pieces of the engine cover and glued those back on with plenty of glue. A little sanding is required later when this has had a chance to dry. Magnum PI will return...
  21. Thank you David!
  22. Thank you Bart, Ray and Trevor!
  23. Thank you John and Michelle! I doubt you would be able to find a 318 CID engine at all. You could use the AMT '71 340 CID engine and add a 2-barrel carb to the top.
  24. Thank you Larry and David! To the unsuspecting viewer, they wouldn't know the trouble that I went through with this Jaguar. While the hood seems long, the chrome strips on top of the fenders make the hood seem even longer!
  25. JR, they all look great and the first place finishers are well worth the wins!
