  1. Don't know exactly what else to say John except it got more breathtaking with each post. Yor are a master craftsman my friend
  2. Just when we though, he can't add much more .........you show up with a ton of little extra detail touches that take it out of this world. I have to say, this build is nothing short of AWESOME, outstanding work mate.
  3. He uses these for shaving you know ............... doesnt have a mirror , said he doesnt need one roflmao. Beautiful as always Paul, cant wait too drool over it on Thursday night...................just so You'll have to clean it again lmao
  4. thanks guys Not if I can avoid them John, decals don't like me and the feeling is mutual Please excuse the grade school drawing, am leaning towards the bottom one , either will have the hood one done and tied together also as you may see from the scribble I'm looking at putting rocker skirt/extensions on to lower it a bit body wise. Tyrone as to your helpful reply on the other board,I couldn't lower this body down without creating rear end humps to clear the tubs, my only issue there was going to be making a new rear window shape cause it would have changed the lines of the back of the car substantially imho. Cheers for the advise tho, I'm sure I can use it very soon. Brett
  5. thanks guys, got a bit more done can start the interior detailing now. As you can see the wheelbase is still a little off but when I enlarge the rear wheel openings ,I'll stretch them forward a little
  6. I'ld quite like a 73/74 cuda should be do able from the 70 or 71 tooling, and yes I have the AMT promo style snap kit, at least it rhymes with snap or a 50 chevy business coupe from the 51 tooling
  7. Nice detail as always Charlie
  8. Building this one for a build off on the qtr milers model drag forum .Using parts from these 2 kits Caused some serious head scratching trying to get the wheelbase right without setting the engine back, ie I couldnt just extend the front of the frame like I normally would otherwise either the scoop would be in the drivers compartment or the gearbox would be in the engine bay.Think I've it figured out right now, I altered the wheel tubs (stretched) and am making up longer four link bars. cage almost done molding the cowl to the hood mocked up on my trusty test fit frame
  9. Roger, that looks awesome man !! The best rendition in scale of that paint job that I've seen. I'ld be proud to call that my own, keep it up man.
  10. Thanks everyone

  12. Thanks guys, wrapped it up today
  13. Cool , nice to see less popular cars built up
  14. Spectacular as always John, and the speed......... you throw these kitbashed scratchbuilt masterpieces together faster than most can build a box stock.
  15. No, you're a slacker ( joking). a; Does it matter? Remember this is supposed to be fun, build at your own pace, whatever and whenever it makes you happy. My kids are all teenagers and up so the only time they want to know me is when they want something lol. I dont watch TV, the wife does a little, but has her own hobbies as well as the occasional build, so that where my building time comes from. I also cant work because of health issues so get a bit more time there as well. Others will have their own balances to juggle, the point again is to find what works for you and not worry about what the rest of us are doing (unless its buying up all the kits lol).
  16. Awesome work Mike !!
  17. I "GOT IT" too, thought it was pretty funny actually
  18. Did the engine for this the weekend before last at a car show (on my lap) so it needs a little tiding up. primed it a few days later then paint after that. The only metallic red I had was a nail polish so After I laid that down I gave it a coat of Duplicolor Metalspecks red. cleared and polished it today and started on the chassis
