What do you drive?
Railfreak78 replied to gasman's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I drive my 1986 Toyota Camry with just shy of 300,000 miles.( bought for $100 at 200k miles). My projects are my 1981 Ford Bronco XLT 4x4 with a 351 and 33's, Nerf bars, brush gaurd, interior roll bar and removable top (bought for $1,000) My other project is a 1980 Yamaha XJ650 Maxim ( Free ) Thanks for looking! -
Wow! That thing is wicked fast looking! Great build

Barrett-Jackson Auction
Railfreak78 replied to RJWood's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I live here in Phoenix and love and hate BJ auctions lol. I hate that they have over inflated the market but also love that they come up with stuff that people would have never known about or have forgot by now. Another big back in forth is the fact that HUGE local collectors buy a lot of the most pricey or rare cars but I CAN'T see them. I'm tired of seeing HUGE warehouses with the name of the collection with a sign CLOSED to the public. They want the attention on the TV but won't take $5 to look around??? And last rant is I am native to Phoenix AZ and have always wanted to just go look and for the entry fee and food and whatever I for some reason can't even go look around at good cars. But then again maybe thats what BJ wants.... Believe me the looks I got years ago pulling into their Scottsdale store location in a 1988 Chevy Celebrity will never escape me. Or the day that my wife went to a High end rental place with the money for a Ferrari rental with the insurance cost and she was laughed off the lot cause what we drove..(and she had the money) . I've been kicked out of the side roads taking pictures as cars file in to BJ. MY opinion is keep up the BJ TV , the cars are beautiful and coverage is good. Gives us something to watch when Good sports is not on... Don't get me wrong , I watch avidly, and will for years.....Craig must be screaming now..... It's raining..... -
Nicely done old school. I like the rivet holes from the chrome being stripped off. Keep 'em coming!

Looks awesome Marty! Sorry I missed it at the meeting but it looks really good. Not many replicas of the old tan cars from here. Now I need you to teach me how to make such nice pics on this site

Real or Model #125 FINISHED!
Railfreak78 replied to Harry P.'s topic in Real or Model? / Auto ID Quiz
It does look like something Scion would do since it looks like a truck version of the XB. To bad the thought was not on the boxy one not the rounded one. The reflections look right so I'm going Real. I love concepts but this one needs some work and paint lol -
That is really, really cool! It's amazing what you can do with hobby itch and some time. Great job on a neat kart.

Hey one question for ya... What did you use for the heater hoses on the passenger side of the engine bay? I know some Mopar kits have it but did you scratch make them?
-
Looks great and I like the interior too. My buddy got this kit and I've been thinking about it myself. Any other fitting issues?

Hey George, Just wanted to put my 2 cents in, now that my computer is back up after moving. I just wanted to say Thanks for being the first to welcome me as a newbie here. I've certainly passed on the generosity myself so cheers my friend!

As a wagon fan this is just flat neat! Nice work

Nice builds to all that made it! I like a few love a few but my vote goes to the inside work that matches so good I want to watch the movie again! I'm going Death Proof Nova.

Looks like a great car for a cruise to Goodguys. Nice clean approach I like it.
-
Very nice and this is a fun kit. I did one a long time ago and I have to say between the guys doing these kinds of cars again... I'm getting that itch again where I need one lol Nice to see you had good luck with the decals as I was not so fortunate lol

Nice build on an old Mike Bliss truck? I think? I believe that was the first year of that body style as Ultra Wheels was still in it and they were one of the first sponsors. Great looking truck and one not done much.
-
Nice to see you again there Brandon. Nice color for the hearse. I thought about doing stuff like that but not to comfy with the idea of popping the rivets. Oh and lol @ Elvira
