  1. Almost big enough to be converted to a rideable 'pitbike'
  2. Rich, if you're not in a hurry I'll carve you up a set out of aluminum, but won't have 'em ready for the Castle Shannon show... Don't know of any in our scale?
  3. Yes, these are great! My 6 year old loves his, he's done two already. I just noticed an Audi R8 at Walmart, and the stock Jeep TJ should be around soon too
  4. Super nice Blair!
  5. Thanks Nate, I'll see you there!
  6. Here's a couple pics... Revell '64-'65 on the left, AMT '72 GMC on the right: As you can see, wheelbase is IDENTICAL. And here's the Revell chassis inserted (easily) into the GMC cab, NO TRIMMING here. I haven't assembled one like this yet, but I foresee no problems, just a nip & a tuck here and there, as with any kitbash project!
  7. Great work going on here! Love that frame! One thing though...AMT kinda got the shape of the door window opening wrong on these 55s. The window 'sill' should be parallel to the character lines below...correct-able, but not after paint
  8. Revell 64/65 Chevy pickup will work, with a bit of effort...
  9. Nice Ron! WOW you're a quick builder!
  10. You can make just about ANY kit wheel center work with an aluminum sleeve. Careful sanding of the outside diameter of your centers will get you the fit necessary. Time consuming in some cases (depending on how much you have to reduce the OD to fit), but the result is worth it!
  11. The promos could provide you with the parts you need. They are really cheap at shows ($5-10) and reasonable from that auction site too if there are no shows close to you... There were AMT versions (as shown above) but MPC did the annual kits AND promos. Best to figure out which you have first before seeking parts/cars.
  12. Looks GREAT John! These are nice, simple kits. I think the stock TJ hardtop coming soon will be a BIGGER hit!
  13. Diggin' it Rich! I picked up one of those '59 JF Buick -camino thingies several months ago to customize. Couldn't find an original AMT at a decent price
  14. Great build! Love all the custom touches, she's a beauty!
  15. Thread merger please! http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=81011&hl=living
