  1. Glad to see you're at the bench again Peter! This turned out GREAT!!! Good luck in your new business venture
  2. But where's the challenge in that? I like the one-off stuff that you can't buy off the shelf
  3. Here's a cheap eBay score, just because we have nothing like it in resin or styrene... One idea: Will require lots-O-work (rescribe or make longer coupe doors, etc) but I think a Standard coupe would be cool... Or maybe a sedan delivery
  4. Very KEWL!
  5. Been gathering a few things for the interior build-up...black embossing powder for the carpet, fine beading wire for possibly trimming the door panels. Also experimenting 'white vinyl' techniques on some other styrene, looking for the most realistic finish
  6. Yes, very nicely done Al I like the wheels as well, do you know what kit they are from?
  7. Just wondering why you wanted to remove the raised area where the 'Jeep' decal goes Amanda? This is correct per the 1:1. Older Jeeps had the steel embossed to where you could actually read 'Jeep' without a decal, whereas TJs had kinda like 'Joop' stamping, requiring a decal:
  8. I was hoping you'd reply Tom, I remember seeing your bedside master pics, I just didn't want to speak for you Hope it all works out, would be great to go with this reissue!
  9. SWEEEET!!! Love your way of weathering Blair, VERY realistic!
  10. SJS made a '58, looks about the same as a '55???
  11. We need a regular production 8' bed done in resin for this, any takers?
  12. Welcome to MCM Corey! Here's an easy way to get a nice '58 without all of the work...a Danbury mint 1/24 diecast: http://www.ebay.com/itm/181233523850?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649#ht_904wt_1324
  13. WELCOME Amanda!!! I guess you like Jeeps? That's a good thing, looking forward to some pics of your finished MPC Jeep AND progress on your TJ...
  14. Nice thought Tom, but I think there are too many originals still out there, and not enough demand for a new-tool kit unfortunately I'd be at the front of the line to get a new kit though
  15. NICE!!!
  16. ***BUMP*** for Chris!!! Surely someone would want to cast this, I think it'd be a GREAT seller
  17. So sorry to hear Terry...condolences from my family to you & yours...
  18. Alan @ Ma's resin has an excellent RESIN hex bolts/nut set for a more three dimensional look, plus they are super high quality and CHEAP too http://public.fotki.com/cnaind/general-detail-stuff/
  19. I vote for stripe #1 It will look especially nice if we go with the white interior
  20. I hear ya Greg...Bowties are my fave, but I like the AMC stuff, Jeeps included A '71 Javelin WIP:
