Can anyone take a picture of those inner fenders on the front. Would be very appreciated.
-
Turned out awesome! When you posted the WIP thread in "On the workbench", I was looking that your Impala, which was built in 2004 looks very cool. The style and stance etc. are just perfect. And this new version, is as cool as the Old one, but building skills are better, so the finishing is truly amazing also. Both are great builds, thanks for sharing.

flea market find (update) all done now in "under glass"
W-409 replied to stulee11's topic in WIP: Model Cars
Great job with it... But actually what car is that? Somekind of Japanese, maybe Nissan? Great job with those body modifications, it'll be very interesting build, even if European or Japanese cars usually aren't so interesting. -
Very good looking interior and chassis. Painting is done nicely, all of the parts look like they could be straight from the Lancia factory. This will turn out as amazing build, I'm sure about it.

Well... It's a long story, but the guy who sold it for me, said, that he has seen it first in 1983-'85, and it was white with red and white chassis, and red and black interior. It had lots of antennas and lights (like in Rally car). Other versions of that Mustang, he rememberes are red almost Factory Stock Mustang, Red and Black Custom, blue Custom and black race car, with Targa Top. It has been also convertible and Pickup. Body has many cracks, because of little accident when it was blue Custom, and because of many times paint stripping... So that's why I'm restoring it, just for the history.

Here in Finland it has been snowing now for few days, and now the backyard looks like this... Now just needs to guess, when the snow plow comes and plows that road clear... Well, there's no problem with our Jeep, but some others might have little problems with the snow.

Look for the Drag Racing Models section, and '69 Nova F/Stock... It's still WIP, but hopefully gives you an idea. I've built one '72 Nova and '63 Nova AWB before, but they are so old builds, that quality isn't perfect.

1-8 scale 69 camaro pro mod (mike hill's car)
W-409 replied to comp1839's topic in WIP: Drag Racing Models
Yeah, that body looks VERY good. And it's Huge too, since it's bigger scale. Details must be easier to make in this scale, right? You do awesome work, can't wait to see more pictures. -
Heh, That smaller scale is great, just because there are more kits in 1/25 than 1/16 or bigger. And I can see something, but how long? Maybe needs to move on bigger projects too, when I can't see anymore. As for the engine, I'd like to see Blown Supercharger, but they are seen so often, that maybe TwinTurbo, even if it's not the number one thing in my mind. That Belt mounted Super Charger would be cool too, but I'm not sure about it in Pro Mod car... I haven't ever seen PM car with that, but don't know the rules there. Is it so, that NHRA doesn't run Pro Mod, it's IHRA what runs PM too...?

Ryan, Looking really good so far, keep it coming! Little update for '79 Outlaw Mustang restore... I built another version for those A-pillars, they are original parts from this kit, and with some styrene I managed to get them fitted. Now building new front "spoiler" and then some bondo... Needs to build Cowl Induction scoop for the hood...

The Hornet's Nest: Hudson Hornet Build Madness!
W-409 replied to Dr. Cranky's topic in Community Builds
I've done some painting on the seats, but no picture yet. I must do just very little cleaning before I can post picture. -
Thanks, Dirk! Jim: That looks like very interesting build, I'll be wathcing VERY closely. That Chrysler 300C chassis fits nicely on that body, it would be nice to have that kit- or at least body from it.

I was quite sure, that it's Real, because I've seen some other pictures of that Rat Rod.

65 chevy stepside truck
W-409 replied to stulee11's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
Looks like great build! That paintjob is cool, and even if those colors are not my favorites, they fit pretty well on this. Not a big wheel guy, though, but clean build. Engine detailing is incredible, thanks for sharing. Ten Points! -
I've built one '58, few years ago, Revell Lowrider kit with few modifications, bit like Taildragger Style... And here's a picture of my dad's '59 Impala, he built in 2010.
-
Great looking Mini! Paintjob looks very good to me, and overall it is really clean build. Only two things caught my eye. Those headlights are looking like frozen. Water based glue is good for gluing clear parts, because it dries invisible. And other thing is, that next time try drilling little hole for that exhaust tip, it makes that part looking much more realistic. Otherwise really clean build, and just giving some advice, how to make next one looking even better. So don't take it too hard.

Spark plug wires installed. I had little problems with gluing those wires to those valve covers, but managed to get them fitted pretty well. Now I'll be painting all of those other engine parts and then I can put everything together.

Fiat Topolino '60s Altered & Finished Slingshot Dragster
W-409 replied to W-409's topic in WIP: Drag Racing Models
Little update, some detailing for the engine. Those fuel line (?) parts are made from ignition wire and two piece of styrene. Next I must continue detailing, and frame needs to be built too. -
This would be great to have. I've been looking for good 1/16 scale model kit... Maybe your build, Brandon will ispire me so much, that needs to get one... Was that expensive one?

68 Camaro El General Pro Mod (updates 05/06/12)
W-409 replied to tyrone's topic in WIP: Drag Racing Models
Looking very good, your projects are always very interesting, and they give lots of inspiration to continue my own builds too. Great job with the Lenco, engine looks very good too. One question: When you glue the engine on the frame? I've been thinking that for a while, when it is best time to install? -
Yeah-that came out really fast. H-Bodies are great, and they were popular on Drag Racing events. Nice build overall, very clean and realistic. That Schumacher FC looks very good too, as Chris said above.

This picture was taken right after the chop top. AMT '49 Mercury, hopefully it gets finished in 2012...

VERY cool Thunderbird Custom. That paintjob is great, and body modifications look good. Especially I like that grille. Engine is really nice too, and detailing is great all over. Thanks for sharing this one.
