  1. Thanks Ryan. Here's little update to the engine. Looks like I got something done. I built the crankcase ventilation tube. It has two parts. I had to drill hole for the valve cover, and then there's little piece of rubber pipe, and then I installed piece of Scale Dreams battery cable inside it. Then I just installed the other end on carburetor. Also I painted the alternator and started building that carburetor linkage. It's still under construction anyway... More updates tomorrow, I guess.
  2. No pictures to show yet, but I have started the work with those door panels. Hopefully tomorrow, after some silver paint I can install them and post few pictures for you. Also little work with the engine, but nothing is assembled yet, some parts painted anyway. Let's see if I can get something done for the engine today-or tomorrow.
  3. Little update- I worked with thoe valve covers today. I put some BMF on the Cadillac texts and those other two chrome parts are BMF too. It wasn't easy job to do, and end result is not perfect. Anyway I'm pretty happy about them, because those letters are very small. Needs to make little cleanup and then I'll paint some clear over the engine.
  4. WOW-turned out very nice! That color is great and paintjob looks shiny. It's smooth too. Great job with the engine detailing, looking very realistic. Those front tires- are they bit badly glued on their place, or what? Looks like they are not 100% correctly. Otherwise really great build.
  5. Basically what you need is metal wire. (Like what we use on Mig-welding) Then some plastic pipe, so you can put that metal wire inside the pipe. Then just needs to do those bendings. Actually sounds easy, and it is pretty easy too. This was my first try with Corvette, and that wasn't easy, because it was first time and I didn't completely know, how to do it correctly. And look for On the workbench section- and http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=51065&st=0 that topic might help you too.
  6. I've burned rubber with Dremel. So install spare tire on Dremel and with low speed do "burnout". I've done it on the top of one metal box, needs to say that if I raise the rpm on Dremel, tire starts smoking and then there's lots of rubber compound everywhere. So low speed is better idea.
  7. Great job with it so far. Those rear tires look pretty good to me. Nice color on the frame-are you going to paint the body with that color too? Nice work all over. I've been thinking, what is good body for Pro Sportsman chassis... Rambler American would be cool...
  8. Great looking Shelby, little lowering made it look mean. I like that paintjob too, and engine details are pretty nice. It looks good with those wheels too. I'm not sure, if they are original or not, but they look like original styled...
  9. That's great tip--thanks! Must try it when I need to open those rear fenders. And for the question about chrome trim-I would say with them. Without looks like too much 80's to me.
  10. There's no way that someone would be tired at looking this- it's simply amazing build, and it's of course nice to see finished product, but somehow I'm going to miss this WIP thread and all of these great updates.. Maybe I must bookmark this thread... Thanks for sharing these amazing builds, can't wait to see what you're building next.
  11. I'm feeling bit better, so here we have little update. I installed cylinder heads, and oil pan and intake manifold. I also painted transmission with Humbroll's Metallic 56. Next I must detail valve covers and paint those bolts all over the engine.
  12. Opening those rear fender wells would have been maybe good choice, but I think it's better to go with those, than taking risk to fail opening rear fender wells. I can say, that making two symmetrical ones, is hard... I built this kit too, and I used some other tires (they are street tires). Don't know if they were included in that Older release or not, but with them rear end looks lower... Anyway very nice job buddy, keep it going.
  13. That's very cool Plymouth. It looks very good overall, and these are rarely seen built. That's sad. Your build looks great anyway, and even if I'm not great fan of weathering models, that weathering looks very good and gives much realistic look to it. Factory Stock models are always great to see.
  14. Very nice Nova build, engine looks very nice. Paintjob turned out awesome, can't wait to see this finished. Only one thing... I've been looking for it long time in other '66 Nova kits too. It's not builder's mistake or anything like that- but those rear tires are somehow looking like too big. Maybe it's because car is too high, as Pro Street cars are usually lowered. But anyway, as I said, that's not builder's mistake, very nice job Stuart with this Nova build.
  15. Huh, how is this coming along? Maybe the coolest Hot Rod project on this forum, but no updates for long time...
  16. Here's my start for this build- Monogram Camaro glue bomb. Originally it's this kit:
  17. This is interesting build. Stance looks very good and I like that engine also. Keep it going.
  18. This is my start for Cannonball Rally build. AMT '57 Chrysler 300C which was going to be Factory Stock, but this Cannonball Racer idea was better idea. I'll start building soon...

    Drag Bike

This build is AMAZING!!! I like that detailing very much, and actually I haven't seen many of these Drag Bikes built, great to see this one. It would be great to have model kit from this kind of bike...
  20. Thanks Stuart! After bit of sanding of VW Beetle today, now I need little break. Let's see later if I can foil those door panels. Thanks.
  21. Thanks guys! As for the hijacking, it's not disturbing me, but those moderators won't appreciate it... Sorry no updates this time, I've been sick lately and building has been inpossible. Yesterday I tried to build a bit, and managed to glue hubcaps to Austin Mini wheels, before I had to quit. Let's see if I can foil those door panel trims today. Painting is inpossible right now, because I can't go outside right now... Maybe later then.
  22. Detailing looks incredible. If the body looks as good as this frame, this is going to be one super nice build from your bench again. Can't wait to see more work with it.

    69 nova ss

Yeah, on these new sharp pictures Nova looks simply amazing! Paintjob is SHINY and smooth. Great job on it overall, I hope mine would turn out as good as this one.
  24. Thanks, Jacob! Do you mean Cars 1 or Cars 2 movie? I've seen that first one, but second one needs to be seen... From the first one I can't remember cop cars, but I haven't seen the second one yet.
  25. Great, Jeff Gordon is my absolute favorite NASCAR driver. And nice build too, clean one even if it's Prepainted model. Has anyone seen decals for these new NASCAR racers. Like these Jeff Gordon decals?
