  1. Bill... That's truly amazing scratchbuilding, and detailing. Hope you can get engine running soon, looks like it is almost there... What scale it actually is? Can't believe that it's 1/25 scale, looks like bigger. And how is it possible to make those parts to 1/25 scale? Great job with it. We had one California Charger here in Finland years ago. It was Firebird FC, and actually it's still here and runs on Super Comp today, but with different paint scheme and of course it's not burning methanol anymore.
  2. Here's my '78. Built from Revell kit, many years ago. As you hopefully can see from the pictures.
  3. Well, only two builds..... They are very nice builds, and I think, it's better to get two really nice builds than 20 terrible builds... Nice job on them. That '57 Chevy just looks "right". GoKart is very interesting build too.
  4. This is cool. I haven't seen much of these Wreckers built, but maybe needs to get one GMC Wrecker from Revell, even if it is simple kit. Nice paint you have, and detailing all over is great. It looks just like real cars do. Thanks for sharing.
  5. Yeah, little more work for the intake manifold. I had to put some bondo there, and tomorrow I'll be sanding it. Then more paint, and maybe I can start assembling some of the engine components together too...
  6. Little update. I sanded bondos smooth, and now I painted block blue. I had to paint two coats, before it was looking good enough. Next I'm starting the engine assembly, so let's see tomorrow if there comes new update or not... Here is the engine block ready for painting... After two coats of Blue paint...
  7. Thanks, Ron! I'm not sure, but it might be my best model so far.

    69 nova ss

Turned out great. It's a shame, that these pictures are not the best ones. Anyway, it looks very nice, and paintjob is great. Looks like decals are very nice too. Engine detailing is great. Thanks for sharing this build, WIP was great. Can't wait to see that '66 Nova project, you have going...
  9. Thanks, Shane! I'm pretty happy about it too, especially, because this was my largest project so far, I have some larger on the bench, but they are not finished yet.
  10. Great, thanks for entry! You are on the list. And that really is acceptable. That kind of Mustang would be very nice to build. Take your time building it, I'll be watching that as interesting project.
  11. Great looking Funny Car. Are these kits rare or something, because I haven't seen much of these built. Or maybe they are just "boring" or something... I have one too, actually only body and frame. Needs to build it. This is very nice, and paintjob is great. Thanks for sharing.
  12. This is über cool! I like that paintjob. And idea is great-I haven't seen much this kind of Altereds. Thanks for sharing it, engine looks like nicely detailed one.
  13. This is cool! Paintjob is amazing, and decals seems to fit very nicely. Detailing looks incredible, and looks like you've built very nice ChiTownHustler all in all. I have one too, but it has been on break for a while. Maybe needs to take it back on the bench.
  14. That's cool... Jegs Race Cars are always very nice, I like the paint schemes. You did very good job with this Opel, and I haven't seen much of these built. Especially as Slot Cars.
  15. I have my spare parts in that kind of boxes, as Dan. But then I have some parts boxes, where are lots of parts, and I've been trying to put engines and interior parts etc. on same place, and store them on Minigrips. That's pretty good way-but it easily gets bit messy.
  16. I have tool box where are my all equipment. I'd like to have them on my modeling table, but it's not possible, since my table is in front of the window. But maybe I need to make it better some day. At least some inportant tools would be great to have always on bench, not in tool box. I have so many paints, though, that they wont fit anywhere else than in tool box. Otherwise I'm happy about my bench.
  17. Ok, after some thinking and looking of my unbuilt kits, I decided to go with '57 Chrysler 300C. Hilborn Fuel Injection system and Hemi engine. Not sure about the tire and wheel choice, but I might go with steelies.
  18. Well this should be interesting. Prizes sound interesting too-even if I can't win them. But anyway, I might jump in, needs to look about my unbuilt kits, and think about it.
  19. That chassis looks good to me. I'm sure, this Firebird will be great build, when finished. Even if that body style is not the best looking FC. As my Burnout Bird, body looks bit "boring", Vega and Camaro, for example are looking much better, I think. Of course this one is not ugly anyway.
  20. Thanks, Brett, Sean, Joe and Chris! Sean and Joe: Actually I had no problems with the headers, engine fits really nicely, I think. That steering link is that way, because otherwise it didn't fit at all. And what Joe said, is true. Steering linkage and headers didn't fit together, but otherwise I found no clearence issues. New steering linkage would be good idea, but when frame is built few years ago, I had no skills that time to try building new one. Today, I would build new one, but now it's already bit late. And that wheel thing-yes. I'm sure, I could do it better today, thanks for advice! Thanks again guys!

    My 2011 builds

Thanks guys! Patrik: When thinking about those unfinished builds, I should have pretty much them to be finished on 2012. Hopefully they turn out good too... Bruce: Cold winter nights give lots of modeling time, that's true! Bad thing is, that taking outside pictures is not so fun. Because fingers are really frozen after picture session... Thanks again, every comment was really appreciated.
  22. Those are really nice builds. It's very tricky to say, what's the best one, but I maybe like that Ford from Deuce Of Spades. Keep it up on ne... This year too, thanks for sharing all of these Old School styled builds.
  23. I've built one Stratos from Revell kit. I was installing the body just like instructions say... First time I failed, since half of the parts on chassis got apart. And then, second try I managed to make it, but it wasn't easy. Anyway-the kit is great, and really fun to build. Keep up the good work, I'll be following, how this turns out. And here's a link to my build (sorry, it's in Finnish, but pictures can be seen. And if you want some details, let me know. ) http://rallimallarit.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=36
  24. Nice builds, all of them! Detailing looks sharp to my eye, and clean buids overall. Thanks for sharing them, and welcome to the forum! Glad to see more talented Drag Builders here.
  25. Thanks! I've been building this to match Finnish rules, but actually they are same ones than NHRA rules are. And as Walter said, rear seat can be removed if you have roll bar in the car. Otherwise, full interior is required. It has been a while since I've been looking for the rule book, but I think, I remember something.
