Well, Google Translator says "Household Plumber", and I guess that's as close as I can guess. It's somekind of liquid, what cleans pipes in your house. Mr.Muscle may be even closer. I guess, somekind of Hardware stores would MAYBE have that kind of stuff....

Is it possible to try fixing that decal with paint? Of course it must be really close the same shade of yellow, as that Decal. Really great job so far, can't wait to see it finished. Thanks for sharing this awesome build.

Thanks Liam! I like that color choice too, it fits nicely with this black frame. Next step is waxing the cab, hopefully it will be very shiny when finished. Engine detailing and interior are the next things in line too...

Scratchbuilding: What's your philosophy?
W-409 replied to Dr. Cranky's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
That's great idea how to scratchbuild that thing (don't know, what it is called in English). Needs to try, my Junkyard Mustang project could be lying on those parts... -
It's liquid. And If you find it, and test it, it's better to use clowes to protect your hands. I know, it doesn't feel good in hands, but it hurts very badly, if you manage to get it in your face. I know that...

I installed front shocks, and some other parts to the chassis, and painted all of those bolts and nuts with silver, just to make them look more realistic. Then I installed those tires&wheels, they fit pretty nicely, and all of them touch the ground.

Progress for today. I installed front shocks, and some other parts to the chassis, and painted all of those bolts and nuts with silver, just to make them look more realistic. Then I installed those tires&wheels, they fit pretty nicely, and all of them touch the ground. I think it looks pretty good, but what you guys think?

Oh, yes that might be bit different thing, when it's inside Europe. Let Me know, if you find any? It would be very interesting to know, is it sold in the UK.

I have removed Automotive Spray paints too with it, so yes, it works. Really great stuff, but don't know if you have that in the USA or not. Thanks!

Huh, just came in, I was shoveling the snow. Here are few pictures, taken right after I finished shoveling the snow. Haha, it's not cold all year long here, in the summer the sun stays up almost every time during the night time, and we have about +20-+30 Celsiusdegrees (about 68-86 Fahrenheits), and we do drive DragRacing in the summer. But in the winter it is cold, yeah. It was really nice to be in Orlando last February. The change between summer and winter, is quite big here. And yes, I will be building models, when it's that cold. Stay tuned for updates with that Kenworth W900.

I guess MR.Muscle is something you don't have in The USA. It's somekind of cleaner for pipes in the house, but removes paint really well. Many Finnish modelers use it, and it sure is good stuff. It's actually "Kodin Putkimies", but there's little MR.Muscle text too, so it's better to call it MR. Muscle, than Putkimies, on this forum.

Yesterday I glued tires and wheels together. It wasn't easy job, everything else has been quite easy to install, but those rear tires and wheels were really tricky. I managed to get everything fit allright anyway. Luckily front tires and wheels were easy to get together.

Hello From Finland!!! I'm not so crazy about the weather right now... We have half meters of snow here, and this week it has bee really cold. The coldest day of this winter so far, it was -36 Celsius degrees (that's -32.8 Fahrenheits). Today it was bit warmer, only 1,4 Fahrenheits but it has been snowing all day, and now we have about 8 inches of snow, maybe more. All of the roads and streets are covered by ice, Trucks and Buses don't have winter tires, they are running with same tires, as in summer. So they got stuck everywhere, today, in one uphill, there were FIVE trucks, all of them were stuck. And later, one Truck was stuck too, it wasn't even uphill, but anyway, it was there. Tractor was pushing it from the back to get Truck moving, but it looked like tractor had no chance to get that Truck moving. There are lots of accidents too, and because of them, and those trucks and buses, nobody can't move, there are Huge highway jams everywhere... So, because of that, can't go buying MR. Muscle, to remove paint. Hopefully tomorrow it's better day. It's quite slippery to walk too, with Longhorn Boots of course. Some of you guys may be used to this, but those who live in the south, it's maybe not so typical.

Lincoln Flathead V-12 Powered Vintage Dry Lakes Modified Racer
W-409 replied to Bernard Kron's topic in Model Cars
This is cool Hot Rod. I like the Old School look, and all of the scratchbuilding, and modifications on the body, turned out very nice. V12 Lincoln engine is quite rare, but great Old School engine, big points for that choice. -
Yes, I guess the new primer and paint will help to get better result. Needs to get some MR.Muscle now, actually that day is today, then I can start removing the paint. Luckily I forgot to paint the hood, so I can paint that already, while the body is in Mr.Muscle. I'll post some pics when I do more progress, maybe that day is pretty soon, there are some other things to do too.

Andy: Thanks! The motor is bit small, yeah, but next time I'll build better one. Can't take that water pump off from the engine anymore. Bart: I managed to fail painting that red. After first coat, it wasn't shiny at all, but that wasn't big problem. Bigger problem was, that there were some mistakes on the bodywork, and trunk lid wasn't smooth. I didn't have Polishing set that time. Now I painted another coat of Red, to make everything look alright. BUT some strange things happened, and paint came away from the corners, and did little reaction with that older paint coat, so now I can see white plastic from some spots. Other than that, paintjob is pretty good, but those can't be fixed nicely, so I guess it's easier to remove that paint and throw about 20 year old Spray Can away. Without that problem, I would be happy and body would be clearcoated allready and waiting for polishing.

Today I was able to rework that belt and pulley area... I don't understand why, but I installed that fan and didn't convert that water pump to present Electric one. Now I built new belt from black paper, and pullies are from the kit. I converted that water pump to present electric pump, and I guess it's Ok. Not 100% correct, but good enough, it can't be seen very well anymore, when I put everything together.

'68 Camaro Super Gas/Comp Roadster
W-409 replied to Mister Twister's topic in WIP: Drag Racing Models
That's really cool Super Gas Camaro! Super Gas is pretty interesting category, even if there's indexes and stuff like that, but because Super Comp has so many Dragsters (and they are all same style Dragsters), Super Gas is more interesting. Really great paintjob on this Camaro, very nice build overall. There's nothing to complaine about. -
Great job, Mark! That came out very nice, paintjob and decals look good. Wheels and tires are nice too. Seatbelts are looking very good too, thanks for joining in this CBP-and finishing your build! I'll add to the entry list, that it's finished. Tim: Vette looks very cool too, that wheel/tire MockUp looks very good to me. Can't wait to see, how it turns out. Liam, Lotus looks very good too, that body painting is great. It looks so smooth, and shiny enough.
-
Turned out very nice, Tyrone. Paintjob is great, and like that detailing on the engine bay. I've always loved American Racing Torq Thrust wheels, if they are not chromed.
-
Wow, those paintjobs are GREAT! I should say, that Shiny Rules. Really smooth and shiny paintjobs, thanks for sharing them.
-
This came out Sweet! I like that color on the body, and flames look very good too. Deal Wheels style builds are interesting, and this was very great build to follow. Very great job all over, needs to move back to On The Workbench to see that Cordvette (?) build. Thanks for sharing it.

Very cool Camaro project. Can't wait to see this done, are you going to take resin copies from it? Would be great to have one. Body modifications look very cool. Pro Stock Camaro would be nice to see too...
