Ok, I got that Double Dragster kit as christmas present, and I'm trying to build that Open rail Dragster and Topolino altered, for now. Maybe later I'll build Streamliner Dragster too. I'm going to install Chevy Small Block in that Dragster, and it will have this kind of Blower system: http://www.flickr.co...67448/lightbox/ So if anyone has pictures about wiring and plumbing that kind of Blower system, I'd like to see them. Information is of course welcome. And it would be nice to hear if there are something to fix, or modify before I get any longer with this. So far I've glued block halves together. Fit issues and some other problems would be nice to hear, since I'm trying to make these look as good as I can with these skills. Not going to do so large project anyway (like not going to build frame again), but just lots of detailing and some "easy tricks" to make model look better. Any help would be very appreciated.

So I can guess, that there's no resin kits. Your project looks good, really sad that it's too late to cast... I would love to have one. Maybe needs to continue looking for good bodies for "easy" conversion...?

Thanks, Jim and Erik! That ride height is bit high in the front. I lowered it as much as possible with using Nomad front axle system. But it still looks hight though. Rear end is just perfect for my taste. And Erik: Nice to hear you've been watching the WIP. For better result I should have taken it apart again, and fix some fit issues before assembling, but I had to time before that Model contest, where I was building this. It looks OK anyway, so I'm pretty happy about it. Thanks again, and Merry Christmas!

Very nice Mercury Custom. Body shaping is great, and different. That's good, because I've seen many of those Custom Mercurys which are having same style body shaping everytime. This makes a difference and that's good. Paintjob looks very good too, and it's really shiny. Color choice is great too. Trunk is great also, nice build. Nothing to complaine about.

This is looking great. But I have a question: What does happen to BMF when you spray some clear over it? If there's nothing, that's really good idea, because I've had some problems that BMF is starting to flare off after few years from installation.

Body looks good, shaping is great. Would be nice start for Custom project. Those wheels and tires just don't match on that body IMO. Body looks like Traditional to me, but those wheels are modern... That's just my opinion, and of course you do what you like the best.

Any resin kits or bodies cast from 1974 Chevelle? Would be really nice Stocker, and I'd like to build it. If you have seen any of them, please let me know.

THIS IS COOL! Great paint job, like the color and those paint shade differences are done very nicely. Cool Old School Custom, grille looks very good too. Like that engine-nice chrome parts and detailing is great. Very nice job.

Great looking '32 Ford. Like the shiny painjob, and color is cool. Great job with the engine detailing too. Wheel and tire choice is just perfect, and great to see that you have painted those spokes, and they are not chromed. Very beautiful build, thanks for sharing.

I have older release from this kit, but this is quite close. Be careful with the placement of those front wheels, on this re-release they are easily too back. Great and interesting project, can't wait to see. It's great kit, and with your skills, it's going to look great.

The second finished model on 24.12.2011. Tamiya's kit. Originally this was based on Porsche 930 Turbo. 1976 World Championchip was driven with this in Makes Group 5. They pushed 590 hp from that engine, and with plastic parts body was 100 KG too light, so they had to add some extra weight to it. Two of these were in the first race of that season, and they won first two races with it. But then air cooled engines were forbidden, so they updated engines for water cooling system. On 3rd, 4th and 5th race were with some problems, because of updated cooling system, and they gave a change for BMW in the championchip. But Porsche won two last races, and whole Championchip after all. Kit is simple, there's some room for electric engine and battery. Chassis is painted with flat black and silver details. Interior was simple too, and I decided to make Jochen Mass as driver. Body is painted Maston white, and assembling decals was quite big thing, but they didn't turn out perfectly. Nothing special about it, just Box Stock build. Feel free to ask, if you have some questions.

Thanks for the advice, Terry! It's always great thing to get constructive critic, and suggestions. They just help me to build better models. I will try that "easy way" first, and lets see if it works, hopefully it will. Of course that "hard way" is not inpossible either, so needs to look what I can do.

Corvette is FINISHED and posted in Under Glass. Huge thanks to everyone who has took time to view, and especially post a comment on this thread. Thanks everyone, great to have this project off the bench.

Started as glue bomb and first I built wide rear fenders from styrene slip and bondo. L88 scoop was molded to the hood, after I shortened it. Engine is from my parts box, and it has some details added. Front axle from '57 Nomad and I had to saw it in 9 pieces before it could be fitted on Corvette's frame. Rear axle was bought from Finnish Model Car Forum, and I painted chassis white, blue and red. Many interior parts from '67 Corvette (Revell), and windshield, grille and taillights etc. are from that kit too. I built rear window from acetate. Painted with Motip spray and Maston clear. Chassis looks great. I like all of the scratchbuilding, you've done. GREAT job with it, I'm watching this one very closely. Nothing to complaine about, very nice progress, keep those pictures coming.

I've been thinking about that silvering, and how to remove it... In some other projects too. Needs to try that one. So Do I have to uninstall those decals before dipping tires? I have installed Rebel Flag decal to the hood scoop, and after that I cleared the hood. Tomorrow I will wax it and then this car is finished. Also installed that new front register plate, which was printed out today.

Thanks Stuart! I'm sure, your Nova will look as good as mine, so great start you have there. I just love these Stockers, must start '70 Ford Torino E/Stocker soon. I like these best without special paint schemes or anything like that. Original type of color and maybe some sponsor decals.

That Nova looks fabulous! Paintjob is truly amazing, and very realistic engine detailing. Nice builds, I would be VERY proud of them. And welcome to the forum!
