So that's why every time I joined the room, there were no new posts sent, I would have to update the browser? But great if it now works, needs to try.

! I'm not so interested about Beretta either, but after I test fitted scoop from '66 Nova Pro Street, I had to build it this style. Possibly one of the only ways to make Front wheel drive Beretta interesting. (Well, this is going to be Rear wheel drive Of Course!) Thanks!

Hey, I know that-yesterday I managed to forget to foil door handles from '50 Mercury project. I will be fixing them today, but yes, I hate that too.
-
Nice detailing on it, and I really like that driver idea. I haven't seen so much driver figures in models, and that is looking great. I'm not sure about the body style, not my favorite, but it will sure look good when finished anyway.
-
Oh, it was Ferrari GTO, I was thinking about Pontiac GTO.... But really nice job you did, again. I like that color and those stripes just fit really nicely to the look. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks, Virgil! George, The rear chassis was cut away, and that's good, because I need to build completely new one anyway. I'm not going to install Pro Sportsman tires, maybe bit smaller ones, but they need more room anyway. Thanks for the comment, I will continue this one soon!

I made hole for the hood, but maybe it needs to be bit bigger after all. I will fit scoop there anyway.

Starting new project... I bought lots of glue bombs, and this was one of them. No paint was used, but rear wheel openings were cut bigger. They are too big now, I need to make them bit smaller. Otherwise really good basis for building Drag Race car. For the engine, I took Chevrolet's 427 BBC, but it will be converted to Merlin 632 Cid. big block. It will be with Tunnel Ram and two carburetors. After some test fitting, I started cutting room for that engine. Transmission is still missing, but I had to cut some material away from chassis plate and interior too. Now engine fits nicely, but still needs to remove more plastic for the transmission. I made that crossmember for the frame from orignal one, but I removed all of those front wheel drive parts, and glued only that crossmember piece on its place. It keeps that engine on right angle too, but I need to build engine mounts also. Anyway, here are some pictures for you:

Turned out very nice! I like seeing H-Body cars built, and this one is very cool. I like that paintjob very much, and frame looks very good too. Engine is nicely built also, but that grille area of the body is painted bit roughly. Just a little thing, and otherwise very nice build, one of my favorites.

Nice build, from nice car. It's a shame, that Rat Packer kit is so simple. Maybe it would be easiest way to take chassis and some interior parts from Trumpeter's '63 Nova kit, to make fully detailed model. This one looks good, and I like the color on it. Nice job with the decals too, and it's very clean and nice build all over, no big mistakes found.
-
WOW, it sure looks better with those stripes on, and great job with them! They look very sharp! Really cool paint scheme, can't wait to see more of this build (and other projects too).
-
Lots of nice Race Cars, and I'm glad to see, they are Nostalgic too. Keep building, these look very cool.
-
I like this one too. Great detailing on the engine, and I like the stance. Very nice paintjob too. Cool subject, I'd like to build one too. How about the quality on these Flintstone Bodies, I have one, and it looks OK to me, but were there any problems during the build?
-
This is totally cool. Nice job with the body work, and paintjob looks very good. I think, this Dragster version looks much cooler than that original one... Nice job with those driver's eyes too. This one is really nice build.
-
Cool Custom. I like that color combo, and paintjob is very cool. I like that grille too, it makes this look really different, but I think, it's a good thing. Engine detailing looks beautiful too, gray ignition wires look factory made. Thanks for sharing this amazing Hudson.

1/16 Scale Army Vega Funny Car - Finished 10/14/2018
W-409 replied to Mooneyzs's topic in WIP: Drag Racing Models
Great job with removing the paint. Why you are going to use that body? Didn't get that thing. What's wrong with this kit's body? I have that one Vega too, but maybe it would be nice to have this kit also... It just looks like, they are quite rare and expensive. I found only one from eBay. Buy It Now price is 130$, so that's bit too expensive for my budget. Luckily other Vega model kits are bit cheaper. Bad thing is, that shipping costs about two times more than model does... -
Well this is going to be really interesting build. Great to see you on the bench, and the subject is more than interesting. Really nice job so far with that grille area. Wheels look very good too. Can't wait to see more. I have seen some parts, which are close, but not 100% correct. I'm not sure though.

I got some glue bombs today. -'37 Ford Sedan and Roadster. Planning to do Salt Lake Roadster and hauler for it. -'69 Camaro by Monogram. Going to build it as 80's Style. -'56 Ford Fairlane Pro Sportsman. Going to build it as Funny Car, so then I have one Pro Sportsman Chassis for other body... -'56 Ford Pickup, Chopped. Going to build Old School Custom. -'95 Corvette X2. I'm not sure about these yet. I will build one as Street Car, and other one... No idea yet. -'97 Ford F-150. I'm no sure about this either, but if I can get correct tires, I would build maybe somekind of Rock Crawler... -'57 Chevrolet Bel Air. This would be maybe Street Freak. -Chevrolet Beretta. It'll be Drag Racer, but not sure about the style yet. -NASCAR Oldsmobile. Not sure about it... Lots of missing parts, so don't know, what to do for it. -Pontiac Firebird GTA. Good basis for project. It'll be pretty typical Street Car. -Chevrolet S10 Pickup. It'll be maybe Drag Racer, not sure about the engine yet. Maybe Twinturbo, maybe just typical engine with carburetor, or then something else. -Chevrolet Corvette Limousine. I have only the chassis and interior. Not sure about it either. -Turbine Car. It will be Custom with typical V8 engine, not Turbine Motor. -And '70 Chevelle's box absolutely full of parts. Engines, interior parts etc etc. Lots of stuff. I can post pictures too, if you want. Just ask.

It looks like Sectioned to me! But it's pretty nice car anyway. Now I'm going to google and try to find out, what is it.

That paintjob turned out fantastic! I like that shade of blue-and I think those graphics look really cool. As for the stripes around them, I'm with Bart. Maybe they would look better, but I think, it's not bad like this either. It's really difficult to paint them, anyway.
-
Really great looking Duster. I like seeing these Pro Mod cars. Color looks good and paintjob is outstanding. I have never been thinking of building Pro Modified car curbside, but of course if it's with hood scoop and huge engine with NOS it's possible, because everything can be fitted under the scoop. Great job with this build. Keep them coming.

Really great looking build. This is really Old School. Like the paintjob, it's shiny and smooth. Great job all over, it just looks nice and clean, without big mistakes. I like those wheels and tires very much too. This would be great kit to have. Looks like it's not so expensive either, on eBay I found one for $17.99 (Buy It Now).

The Hornet's Nest: Hudson Hornet Build Madness!
W-409 replied to Dr. Cranky's topic in Community Builds
Little update. I installed throttle linkage. I also built fuel lines. Had to drill some holes for those details, and then I glued them on their places with super glue. Also sanded that seam, which was filled with bondo, from that front seat. Some paint on it too, still needs to paint that "Light Gray". -
Transmission looks great! I like all of those little details on this. I can't wait to see more work with this Camaro. So is Pro Extreme Drag Race car category, bit like Pro Mod? What's the difference between them?
