Thanks, John! And here you go an update, not big but something to show.... I was bit busy yesterday and didn't get too much done for this build... But the engine paint is now stripped off, and other smaller parts are ready too for resin copies. I'm going to try casting them today, and maybe it needs few times of practicing before I'm making good looking parts.. But also found front wheels for this, they fit nicely to Pro Sportsman kit's tires. Those wheels can be found from AMT's '66 T-Bird Customizing kit, for example, and maybe from some other kit too...

This is really great model! Clean build. Paintjob and color are looking really cool, and that grille is really nicely washed with black. It's looking very realistic. I like the overall look, and the engine is nice, and I like the seats on the interior, and the headrests. (or what are they called...) Nice model, keep these coming. I like watching these your builds, and they are coming fast, but they look still nice.

Some more bondo to the body. There were many spots which were in need of bondo. Now some sanding, and maybe more bondo, untill it looks good. Then some paint and clear on it. Hood isn't still primered, I must add one set of bondo to it, before primering, because I can see lots of mistakes in that!

Thanks Mike, I'm trying to keep pictures coming about the progress... Yesterday body got some clear. It will protect the decal when polishing the body. Still pretty good paintjob, it's smooth and bit shiny too, but needs polishing, I'd like to try that thing. But next coming up is the chassis.

Highly Detailed GENERAL LEE.... finally done...!1yr and 6 days
W-409 replied to mopar01lee's topic in WIP: Model Cars
This is going to be really nice when finished! I like the work you've done, especially that grille with those lights is looking very nice. I can see that that there are many General Lee Chargers being built, maybe I should start one too, but from which kit, don't know... -
1964 Oldsmobile Cutlass 442------update 12/19/11

I think, it's six pictures now, or something? Because I'm having same problems, it's stupid to make two posts because of few photos.... But anyway, your project looks really good, as always. It's going to be great model, that work you've done is simply great! -
Wow, this is going to be interesting. I'm watching it! Body modifications are looking really good so far, and I like that frame. Great job on it, can't wait to see more updates for this project. Good Luck !

Thanks, Tyrone, Andy and Mitch! I'm using the Chevy Power just because I'm having one Chevy engine... I could make some resin copies from Hemi too, but that's Mopar engine, so it doesn't fit into my mind...

Cool Dragster! That tow truck looks good too, nice combo. I like the color of the Dragster, and wheels look good. Tires are simly the perfect choice for that. Nice builds, and Flathead is great! I haven't seen too much of these Flathead powered dragsters- this one is great!

Getting back to this one! Today I sprayed some primer to body. It's the first primer coat, and now there's coming some sanding, putty etc. Also I've painted the rear axle now, and must make the propeller shaft longer... Also needs to do some engine detailing...

Bumble Bee stripe is now installed. Maybe tomorrow I can spray some clear on it, and then polishing. This might be my next finished model, because it's so close now. Hope that there comes no any problems in final assembly....

Here are two more pics, other is mockup, and other shows the engine before removing the paint.

This is my new project. Starting it out from Trumpeter's new Falcon Stock Plus kit. Kit looks good, very high quality parts, and there are lots of them. Also tires are looking very realistic, but I'm not using them for this build. I'm gonna fit '55 Chevy Pro Sportsman tires to this body. Also I'm using a 572" Big Block Chevy. First I started cutting the chassis. I removed the old inner fenders, and then I cut more from the chassis plate. Now tires are fitting nicely, but I must make new wheelwells there... Also frame needs to be done again. The engine is an old "glue bomb", which presents as a 454 BBC, but there are not so many diffenences between Chevy Big Blocks, so now it is 572 BBC. I sanded it a bit before stripping the paint off from it. Now I'm trying to get old paint off from it. I will cast some resin copies from that engine, because I need it for other projects as well. I'm not sure about the quality of my castings, but I'm going to try my hand at that... Original chassis....

some slot car bodies
W-409 replied to Sixx's topic in WIP: All The Rest: Motorcycles, Aviation, Military, Sci-Fi, Figures
They are looking great! Especially I like the look of this new Challenger. Orange with black wheels and hood is great combo. How did you done that new Mustang? Did you build it from stock Mustang, or is that somekind of racecar's resin body..? -
Amazing work, as usual! Those tires and wheels are looking very realistic, and all of the little things, you've done are looking amazing. It's going to be very nice model, again.

Thanks, Hugh! It's coming slowly but surely... Still needs to paint some parts before I can get them on their place... And some other things to do as well before I can continue the chassis. But it's coming along and I'm happy about it.

I've been trying to replicate a car in the junkyard, and I used this style to make those "dents"... Works fine, and it's simple and easy! I did also a hood from aluminium, but that's just aluminium, there's no plastic used...
-
Engine is now glued to subframe (or what it is called...), which is painted gloss black, and springs are silver... Next I'm going to paint the inner fenders, and other engine bay parts, so I can glue them to that frame and then it's ready for installing to chassis. Those seperate inner fenders, firewall etc. make engine bay detailing lots of easier, than it would be of those parts should be molded to body...

Thanks, Michael for the information! This kit sounds like a good basis for a great model... Some modifications needs to be done, but anyway. Your project looks good!
-
Hey, Gary, I can't see the pics. But when I copy the link without those image codes, and paste it to a new tab, then I can see that your project looks amazing! The 1:1 car is great too, you can't go wrong with this subject. EDIT: Now I can see your pics, but they didn't work at the morning .

Great project you got going! Great to see one AMC Pacer on the bench, and the style that you are building it is great. And yes, bit lower stance would look good on this. I'm watching this project very surely, it's just great subject. Keep going.
-
Oh, that looks cool! The Two Much kit has a great chassis, but it's maybe bit too long for one engine, so I'll use them both. Otherwise only one engine would look good, but I don't want to shorten the frame. Your build is very nice, as always!

Hey, welcome on the forum! Great looking Bel Air! That rear fender looks great and flip nose works fine with this one. I would leave that fender without the "lip", it looks just amazing right now. It's going to be really cool build!
