Thanks! Well, I have about 40-50 projects WIP, but some of them are not going forward at all. Maybe some day, when I can get these projects finished.... I'm meaning Super Bee, '69 Nova, '57 Chevy, and Pontiac FC. Also this Rat Rod is going to be finished soon, hopefully.
-
So you like to build Lowriders ? That's great. Impala looks really good too, and I've rarely seen '49 Mercury built Lowrider, but that one looks pretty cool to me.
-
Also little update to the '32 Ford Bonneville Racer. I sectioned the door panels to fit with the sectioned body... They need still some more work, but this shows, where I am right now. Edit: Dr. Cranky, rust is something, you can't get with money. I mean in 1:1. And it lives long time, if people are not stopping it.

It has been long time without no updates. This time I'm going to build this Rat Rod Pickup finished. It will take bit of time maybe, but no long breaks anymore. I built header for other side also, and installed spark plug wires. Glued the engine on its place and propeller shaft is glued too... Interior floor is built from some part from my parts box. I used bit of aluminium there. Glued the seats and pedals, which are scratchbuilt.
-
Frame glued together... It was really hard to get it fit, and it's bit warped. I'm going to give some heat to it, carefully and then it maybe starts to look better. This is something, I was bit afraid about.

Of course little engines are fast and powerful too. This is Finnish Competition Toyota Celica, driven by Mika Eloranta. Best time of it is about 7,0. And the team is looking for first six second pass. Little four cylinder engine with turbo.

This is going to be great! I've been watching it, and can't wait to see the next update. Nice to see some Vegas being built too. Your work is stunning, I'm speechless and can't find correct words to tell, how nicely it's coming along. -
Nice "what if" build. I like it. Keep these coming. Paintjob on it looks real good and I like the color. I'm also diggin' the engine bay and chassis. Really nice build overall.
-
This one looks really good. The paintjob is great, and I like the engine detailing also. Everything looks good on this. I'm building the same kit, and must continue it really soon. It's not going to be as nice as this, but anyway.
-
Interesting Mercury... Your bench is looking good too. You have very great building subjects out there. Also tools are looking great... Can't wait to see great models from your bench. EDIT: Engine detailing looks amazing.

This kit is really worth buying and building. It can be easily built curbside, but of course it's possible to make it look like detailed. Can't wait to see your project, Rob. This is getting there slowly but surely.

Thanks, Mike for the info! James, it's repainted, and now it's waiting still polishing. Had no time for it, but I was working on the engine bay detailing. And Virgil, thank you too! So some detailing on the engine bay. I detailed the battery first. I removed some details, which were molded on to the battery. Then added some photo etch parts, and also some scratchbuilt parts, like the bracket. Cables are Scale Dreams' stuff. Also I added alternator wires. They are made from Detail Master's Detail wire, and Detail master's Racing ignition wire. Then I added heater hoses. I drilled holes for them to the firewall. Also some exhaust pipe work. They are painted silver and no modifications needed on them, exept the exhaust tips. I did saw them off from other pipes and drilled holes for them. After all work, they fit fine. Next step, some BMF to the gas tank brackets and then on four wheels.

I'm using a photobucket. It works fine, and there's really much space to upload- and share pictures. It's also easy to use. Resize of the pics, and little modifying is also possible. I've tried fotki too, but that wasn't good for me. Bit tricky, and it took too much time posting the pics. Photobucket is easier, I think and that's why I'm using it all the time. And oh yes, it's free of course, and so does the fotki.

Both are very nice. I like the '69 Camaro better. The style of it is great. Like those steelies with Dog Dish style hubcaps and color is nice. Also I like the engine detailing of it. That '67 Camaro is very nice too, great to see those being built, not always '69 Camaros. Great job on both of them.

409 looks really amazing! Just like real. The color of it seems to be pretty nice and detailing is great. I like that air cleaner. Looks like, it can be looking good when painted black. Model is nicely built anyway, but I'm not a fan of those wheels, especially under X-Frame Chevy. (not an personal attack.) It's nicely built anyway.
-
That's coming really nicely! Keep it coming, engine looks really good. Also I like the body modifications, happy sanding!

Wow, that's Marko Lantto's Corvette Pro Mod. The personal best of that car is about 6,3 seconds.... But it's very nice. Finnish Pro Modifieds are always nice to see. Here's a link to another picture. (not mine) http://kuvia.1g.fi/kuvat/Tapahtumat+2010/FHRA/Defa+Finals+2010/Sunday/MOP_5018.jpg

 Nothing can't beat cubic inches! And that Willys has 426 of them. And of course it's blown. That Vega FC looks really cool, as all of these, looks like here are some very talented builders, many of them.

need help with old fuel injection plumbing
W-409 replied to bisc63's topic in WIP: Drag Racing Models
I'm not an expert in this thing. But anyway, those injector stacks are really great! Here are some pictures, I found from internet. First one is picture of Finnish Hot Rod, where are those injector stacks in Buick Nailhead. It's my picture. Hope this helps. -
Yes, the wiring of engine isn't too hard. Just needs to look reference pics closely and make the wiring look realistic. Here are some pics about 440 engine. They all are not factory stock, but the wiring seems to be quite close... And here you can find some engine detailing for '70 Super Bee with 440 SixPack. http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=43717&st=0&p=459690&hl=

Thanks, Luis! I have a question about the hood scoops. Were they painted body color, or black? I'm thinking the body color, but can't be sure about it. I'd like to hear the answer before I paint them.

Highly Detailed GENERAL LEE.... finally done...!1yr and 6 days
W-409 replied to mopar01lee's topic in WIP: Model Cars
OUCH! Sorry to hear that. Project is very interesting, hope you can find new body soon. An other OUCH comes from pro touring. This General Lee is going to look really good when finished. -
Finally managed to get those engine bay parts painted red from both sides. Also painted the hood from other side. Tomorrow I will polish the body and put that engine bay together, hopefully.
