  1. Great looking project. How is the quality of this kit? Body isn't too great, is this body worse than AMT's? Chassis... Has it seperate axles, exhaust systems etc. Or how about the interior. I'm just thinking about if this chassis is great, it would be nice to put AMT body and Revell chassis together...
  2. Got the body and chassis painted. Both are now dark red. I like the color. It's straight from spray can, maybe good clearcoat and polishing will make it look good... I also painted some other chassis parts, but there's nothing special to show, yet. I'm trying to continue it soon, this may be finished pretty fast... There's not much orange peel...
  3. Your car looks good! Great Drag Racer. Model is looking good too, I like what you did for the roof. Going to be real nice build. What's the best ET with that Comet? Anyway, interesting project you got going, keep it up.
  4. Thanks for the comment! I think, that it's great to watch your projects too across the Atlantic. I haven't looked about Aftermarket slicks, but they would be maybe a good idea. But maybe I sand those, and make them look as good as I can, and then think about, if I need new ones, or can I live with those.
  5. That's true  ! Brett, thanks for the information, now I can glue them together without being worried about the final assembly. Your Dragster looks very good too, love the flames on it.
  6. WOW, amazing bodywork you've done. Thinking just, that it's started from original '63 Corvette. Then great castings, now you have lots of bodies, which means that we will see lots of '63 Corvette Pro Mods. Amazing job, can't wait to see more of your work.

    Vanbulance

If you don't die on the accident, then you die inside that Vanbulance... Looking good. Paintjob is great and it's very clean build all around. Great job on this, keep these coming..
  8. This is going to be great! Body looks very good, paintjob is amazing. Very shiny, and smoooth.... BMF looks good too. Engine detailing is also great. I'm huge fan of X-Frame Chevys, and this looks good. I must also built one '64 Impala, it would be original too.
  9. Like it, keep going! This is truly something different, I haven't seen '34 Ford Woodie Wagon yet, which is built like this. Like the idea, and how it looks now. Great job with the wood, I'm watching this one.
  10. It's slowly getting ready for paint, but before painting, I did one very important thing. I built "frame" or what that thing is called for rear window. I'll make it from acetate and now it will be lots of easier to install, and it will look lots of better. I glued styrene strips to the body, they will tell, where the window goes, and then some styrene on it, so the window can't come off. Hope it works, I've seen better builders making this one, and they have done it correctly, but don't know, where this ends....
  11. Thanks! I was thinking about Brake Master Cylinder too, but I wasn't sure about it. Now I know, where to install brake lines.
  12. Got the engine primered. It's now quite good and there are no big mistakes. I will paint it soon, maybe tomorrow. Then I must strip the paint off from some smaller parts too, before they are ready for assembling, because there is quite much paint in some places...
  13. Just a little progress with it. Entire frame is now black, there are no white spots anymore. Also painted that little part silver.... What part is it? (Picture 2). Glued rear slicks together, and now all they need is some sanding to look realistic. Must start those engines too.
  14. Some progress has been made, not too great, but I'm still making the progress. Sanded the putties smooth from inside the body parts, and floor. Now ready for primering them from this side, and then gluing those parts together should make some more sanding and filling, etc... Also engine block needed some putty, next step is sanding it smooth, and then some paint on it. Also the frame needs to be glued together.
  15. Looking good, Brett! I like seeing Corvette racecars. This looks cool, and it's now really smooth. Can't wait to see some color on it. Keep coming, interesting project, and something completely different.
  16. Thanks. Need to get one bottle of it, and try what I can do with it.
  17. I'm afraid, that there's no other way than just polish it off. That needs polishing kit, or maybe wax which poishes, may help too. Maybe it's just easier to buy new one, or make new one from acetate...
  18. Wow, this is great! Like the idea, and this bodymodel is cool start for Drag Racer. Engine looks good, and wheels and tires are nice. Can't wait to see more progress. This just reminds me of this Finnish Rat Rod, which goes 9,5 times at quarter mile. (BTW, I've taken that picture)

    My older builds

Thanks, Brett! It's great to have these models on the "display case", I can easily see the improve of my skills... Next build, after the Ramcharger was '29 Ford RatRod. Built in two days, so it's not good, but just a fun project with lots of partsbox parts. Frame is 100% scratchbuilt, and I chopped the window frame, grille is lowered, exhaust pipes scrachbuilt. Interior has no floor, and it's really rusty. Just a fun and quick project, I didn't try to make this as realistic, as the other models, but I've got one price with it. I've built also another Rat Rod, and that was a great and more serious build.
  20. Some putty to inside the body. There were ugly ejector marks, so after sanding those might look good and more realistic. And Question!: I didn't get this point from the intructions, or any other. If I glue the body and its foor now to one piece, can I fit it on its place anymore, when the frame is completed? (Or being close completed) Hope that it's possible, otherwise it don't look good with that seam on the center of the body... Floor wasn't looking good either, so some putty there also... And the body ejector marks.
  21. That Hardtop version is a great kit! Built it many years back, and turned out OK. Parts fit nicely together. Only thing, the alternator doesn't fit under the hood, so the hood isn't perfectly closed, there's a gap. That was only problem, I found from the kit.
  22. 98 Fahrenheit seems to be about 36 celsius degrees... It was quite hot in Rome too, walking many miles on a day in burning hot, 38 celsius degrees, that's 100 fahrenheits... Air conditioning would be good here in Finland too, some of you might think, that it's always cold here, but now it has been about +30 celsius degrees almost every day...
  23. So I was wrong, again. But if it is 1/2 scale, it's almost like real .... Maybe next time...
  24. Really great build. Paintjob looks very good, and every details on the model are looking cool. It's clean build, with no big mistakes. Interior looks good too, how about the engine pictures? Nice model.
  25. Amazing job with it! Great to see these Drag bikes, especially when they are Harleys! This build is awesome, frame looks GOOD, and body is simply outstanding. I can't believe that those are scratchbuilt, they are so nicely done. Detailing is superb, is that engine running? Looks like it. You must know very much about these engines, and details of them. Great job, it's truly AMAZING build. I wish, I could build like that someday...
