  1. Thanks. Great to hear that there are some more Cobras coming. I might get started my Race version soon... The metalflake effect is looking different in that great sunshine. I must take inside pictures of it, so it looks like it really is. Now those flakes are looking HUGE, as you said.
  2. Great job you did with it. I like the color on it, and paintjob is great. Also the detailing on the chassis and engine bay is looking really good. Interior is nice too, I like that magazine on the passenger's seat. Really cool build, I like it.
  3. Looks good! Color and paintjob are great. I like the stance of it, and rear tires are looking great. Wheels are nice too. Engine looks good, and detailing is very nice. Fuel line, brake lines etc. Very nicely done, it would be nice to have one AMT Willys on the stash, but maybe I'd prefer the '33 Willys, because I've built also one '41.
  4. Very nice build! I like the colors and paintjob looks really good. It's always very nice to see these Old School styled Customs. Whitewall tires and those hubcaps are looking awesome. Only thing, what I can complaine is a fitting issue on the hood. But I know that issue, I have many Classic Chevy kits, almost everyone of them has that problem. But your model is build very nicely, and it's very clean without any big mistakes. Great Mild Custom.
  5. I'll keep on eye this build, and I'm sure of it. These old NASCARS are great, and this Dodge has a great body design. Your work is always very nice to watch, so it's very interesting. That driver's seat looks quite, well, different than the modern ones.
  6. Some more pictures about it. Thanks for looking! The WIP thread is here:http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=37691&st=0 Comments are very welcome, so the next one is better.
  7. Here it is, finished product. Started out as a Monogram's kit, which presents a Street version of Cobra. I have also Revell's racing version on the stash... This was very great kit to build, I started of course from engine, which I painted blue. Added some details to it, plug wires carburetor linkages and fuel lines etc. Chassis went together nicely, and I added brake lines there. All of the axle systems fit very nicely. The frame is silver, but floor is matt black, and from the rear it's gloss black. Most of the frame components are silver. Interior is black, and I painted the wooden steering wheel, added seat belts from Scale Dreams and belt buckles from Model Car Garage. The cauges are printed out, they are paper. Body is painted with a spray can, but it has no clear. The paintjob is quite good, I think, because of good paint. Decals were very tricky to install nicely, and they aren't looking as good as they could be, but good enough... The top is bit warped, but I glued it as nicely is I could. Nothing special about the final assembly, kit goes together very nicely. I painted tire textes and detailed the spinners of the wheels too. This one is my fourth model in 2011. Here are some outside pictures, great sunshine so I decided to take pics outside.
  8. My Shelby Cobra Street version is now finished, and I will post it under glass section now. This one was very great project, and I had very much fun with it. I'm quite happy about the finished product too, but of course there are lot more things, what I could have done better. Thanks to everyone who has took time and wiew this build, thanx for all of the comments, and special thanks to Cato for all of the great information!
  9. I'm mainly in class TWO, but I think, I'm getting closer to class THREE. I sometimes built a boxstock, but I like to add wiring and plumbing, and of course make parts myself, and kitbash some parts from other kits, but I'm not a kitbasher either. The examples. CLASS TWO: And CLASS THREE: Don't know, if it needs to be ready, but I think, these WIP projects is the best example for this section. AND the other one: Pro Street Impala needs still new Tunnel Ram manifold, that one is a test piece.
  10. I'm building some Old School Custom projects... '65 Chevy Stepside '49 Mercury Chop Top '56 Ford Victoria '56 Chevy Bel Air Lead Sled '56 Bel Air chop top & sectioned '67 Corvette- Custom, or prototype. '51 Chevrolet Bel Air Mild Custom I might have also few other projects, but can't remember them all. EDIT: I've finished also three Customs... '60 Impala Mild Custom '58 Impala Mild Custom '64 Impala Mild Custom I've some Hot Rods on th bench too... '32 Ford Pickup '29 Ford Gasser Pickup '32 Ford 3W Coupe '29 Ford Rat Rod And Finished Hot Rods... '32 Ford Rat Rod '29 Ford Rat Rod I build ONLY Old School stuff, modern cars with big wheels, ouch, they are simply awfull.
  11. Well, it's not saturday but almost it is... I think, this build will be on my workbench next saturday, because I'm not home! Going to summer cottage, and must leave my projects for few days... But anyway, I'm just learning to build something different, I have a Mustang gluebomb...
  12. Really great job so far with this one. I like to see these modern SuperStockers too, but of course the old ones are looking better. I like what you have done so far. The engine looks real good, and rear tires are nice. It's getting very interesting when you can put the body on.
  13. Can't wait to see it finished, looks very cool right now too. I like the color on it, and wheels are great. Where are they from? Engine looks good, detailing is very nice. I like these Weekend Drag Cars, which are built as the owner wants, not to match any category's rules. Looking great so far, these FOX Mustangs are looking always good.

This kit is so bad quality, that it's great basis for something like this. Lots of modifications can make that kit look good. Your paintjob is incredible and I like the 60's Custom parts on it. I normally don't like them at all, but this is so radical that they are looking even good! Love that top, it's very nice. Great model.
  15. This is the last update before moving it to Under Glass section... I istalled the front bumber, headlights and turn signals to the front. Also added taillights, register plate and rear bumber to the rear end of the car. Sidewiew mirror is on its place, but I must still put the other one. Before that, I will install the windshield and convertible top, which is now painted. I painted the hood also, maybe tomorrow I can finish this buildup. The chassis needs still some cleaning, and so does the engine bay. Here you go, few pics.
  16. Real. If that is a model, I'm really suprised. Who in earth could build that nice model? Everything looks like real, chrome parts and paint... All of those little badges and other little body details make it look like real. And if I see correctly there is some weight on the front tire. Don't know, it can be model too, but I vote real, because it looks like it. Tires are looking very realistic too, it can't be model... Don't know, let's have a see what it really is.

I was suprised how good the cleared primer looks! Great paintjob on the body and colors are nice. I like the engine detailing, done very nicely. Interior looks good too, it's well detailed. But is it 1/25 scale, or bigger? It looks like AMT's 1/16 kit, but can't say surely from the pictures. Model is nice anyway.
  18. GASSSSERRRR!!! Great project, I really like the idea. The new Camaro is a nice car. I didn't like it, when I only saw the pictures of it, but when I saw them live in USA, I thought that they look good. Very agressive look on the front. But this project is nice, wheels and tires look great so far, keep it going. This seems to be bit different... I can't remember seeing any other models than Lowriders, or other Customs, which are going very low.
  19. Thanks Jay! I don't think, the oversized metal flakes are a problem. In many showcars, they are really big, and in this scale if those would be correct sized, no one could see them well, so I think, it's better to keep those. And I think, they are looking pretty good too...
  20. Got some more work done today, after spending last friday night on local Cruising, and weekend in DragRacing... I installed the brake lines, they are now pretty good, well, they are not correct, not as like 1:1. But anyway I installed the radiator, and built the lower water hose. Also I istalled the body-interior-chassis together. Now everything is coming along very nicely, and this one is getting ready pretty soon. Also painted the convertible top from the other side, and the hood with primer. Those are still needing some paint. Lots of cleaning coming, and then the final assembly.
  21. Just painted the wrong side of the front clip. It's now orange. Maybe at the end of this week, I can paint the outside of it, if the weather is good. But also I've done some interior work, I'm trying to get some pics from the interior soon, but not today.
  22. Good to hear that your Corvairs aren't forgotten... Just painted some primer to my Austin, the weather was good. It looks quite good, but still some sanding, filling etc must be done before I can lay the color on it.
  23. Yes, the truck is '59 Chevrolet Viking. I'm not making an exact replica, just same styled, and I'm using '57 Chevrolet Cameo cab as a basis, of course it's a gluebomb... But I might scratchbuild those wheels, if I can. And here is a picture about the same truck, as in those first pics, but here it is in USA, in somekind of junkyard.
  24. This one is really nice Mustang as always from your garage. Like the color of it, and paintjob is really good. Engine is really nice with all those little details... You must have many Revell Pro Sportsman car bodies and normal streetcar chassis parts in the stash? But this one looks really good, makes me to build something same way... Someday, not right now...
  25. This one is VERY clean build! Maybe one of the best VW Beetles, I've ever seen. That paintjob is really great, and that hole car is just like coming out from the factory line. Finishing is incredible.... I'm almost speechless, thanx for sharing it, very nice job with that. B)
