  1. The sun was out today, so I painted some primer on the engine and intake manifold, what I modified for two carburetors. Those parts are looking pretty good now, and I'll be able to paint some red to them, maybe tomorrow. Let's see.
  2. A little update, I glued the trailing arms to their place. I have cast them from AMC Matador rear axle, they are bondo... But they look pretty good to me. I also built header for passenger's side... It's built from solder. I also glued the plug wires to cylinder heads, now they are easier to install when they are in that tricky place alredy, it would be hard to glue them under the header. Still needs to do the same thing for the other side, and I must install header flanges too.
  3. Ross Gibson Hillborn Injected 392 Hemi is simply the best choice. It's old school, and Top Fuel engine is with blower, I think? 426 Hemi is too modern for Slingshot dragster... I had one website, where are lots of pictures, but I can't find it anymore. But project is very interesting, when you get building it.

Looking really good! Subject is very interesting, and this one is built really nicely, I'd like to build something like this... Paintjob is amazing on this, it's very shiny and smooth. Also like the wheels on this, they are very realistic, and engine bay is very nice too. Detailing looks very nice, I can't find any mistakes from this one. Really great build, keep these coming.
  5. Thank you for the comments... Jantrix: I didn't strip the paint from this one, when I got this one, it was painted brown. I didn't sand the body at all, because it was looking good for a Rat Rod. I just ainted it silver, then some red and I removed the red paint from some spots, so it looks like that old paintjobs are possible to see. Then I added some rust. I think, that I know the basics and I can make some custom modifications. I have buit for example this '32 Rat Rod, which is sectioned, channeled and windhield frame is made from scratch, I have built the trunk lid, frame 100% scratch, front axle made scratch etc, etc, etc... Started as this:
  6. Yes, that was one of the best Monster Garage episodes ever, the finished product was looking very good too. Once they also built one HD Chopper with "Dream Team" on motorbike builders, that was very good episode too. Here is a link to a picture of '54 Chevy, cool! I had that episode recorded to a digibox, but that one got broken and I lost that episode. But anyway, here is a little update to my Mercury- build. I'm going to use Flathead V8 for this one, and I was unhappy about the manifolds, I found. They all were for one carburetor, and I wanted two carbs to this engine. Well, I took two normal manifolds and "bit" of sawing, shortening and gluing, now I have one intake manifold for two carburetors... Some test fitting to the engine, fits nicely. Engine is right now gloss black, but I will spray some white primer on it and then some red paint, otherwise, if I paint red right now, on the black, it will not look good. For the tires, I'm going to use Firestone whitewalls for this one. Some putty to the manifold, and oil pan...
  7. Just next to the "Emoticons" button, there is the "Insert link"... Put the link to the "URL" spot and under that one, there is the "Link text". Write there, what ever you like and that is text of the link...
  8. Great looking Torino! I like the paintjob on it, and those wheels are looking good too. The weathering on them is looking simply outstanding. Decals are very nicely in place too, and keep these old Nascars coming.
  9. This one looks like a great project! I like the job, you have done with it, especially those hood and trunk pins are looking really great, I like the way you made them. This Monte Carlo body is one of the best looking NASCARS of that era. Looking really good, paintjob is nice and just can't wait to see the finished product. I think, that I must get back building my Jeff Gordon Monte Carlo, finally. Keep up the good work!
  10. Thanks, Bill! I think, I start hunting those wheels now. Your Cougar looks very good!
  11. I have two questions about wheels, any help would be very appreciated. 1. Does anyone make photo etch wire wheels in 1/25 scale? And if someone makes them, who, and where I can buy them? 2. I need this kind of Truck steelie wheels... Have you ever seen anything like this in some kit, I'm trying to build same styled truck, as this Finnish buildup. (a picture below.) And an other picture:http://kuvia.1g.fi/k....5/MOP_6845.jpg
  12. Sean, you are on the entry list. Thank you, for joining in. There is no deadline for the build, only last day to join in, but don't know about that yet... But I'm sure that there is no deadline for building.
  13. This one is looking GREAT! I like the color on it, it's British Racing Green, isn't it? Paintjob is also very nice, so shiny and very smooth. I like the engine work a lot, detailing is very nice and interior looks good too. Nice work with this Jaguar, wheels and tires are really nice too.
  14. Really nice builds! I'd like to see some detailing on the engine, like spark plug wires, and other wires etc. The motor looks much better with some detailing. But color and paintjob are looking good, and that engine isn't bad anyway. Looking real good, stance is great... Where did you get the tires on this? Especially I'm interested about rear tires, I need that kind of tires to some models... But good job anyway on these models, I'd like to see more of these...
  15. When something looks good and smooth for primer coat, after the primer there are some things to do... There is some kit (MPC?) of this, but it's quite expensive, I think... But I must get that one is some spot.
  16. Yes, looking good. Colors and paintjob are looking really good to me. I like the stance on this. But is there a place, where I can buy those lights on the top? (hälyytysvalot )... I'd like to build a police car from some old, maybe 70's American Muscle car. Maybe Dodge Charger etc. Really nice work with the Caprice, the WIP topic was very great to watch and follow.
  17. Looks like a clean build. Color and paintjob are looking really good, tires and wheels are also very great. I like the engine on this one too. I built this kit many years back, it was my first model, loved the kit. Now I must buy this thing again and build Mild Custom of it. But yours is looking really good to me, keep these coming.
  18. looking very good so far. Can't wait to see it finished. I'd love to build this in 1/24 plastic kit. Body looks good, you have done very good job on it. I like the look now, it's smooth and with a new paintjob it will look very nice. Keep up the good work.
  19. Really good looking Tempest! Is that driver's side header off from its place, seems like it hits to the ground? Otherwise very good looking Pontiac. I like the color and paintjob. Nice work with it, can't wait to see more of your work...
  20. Really great looking truck! I like the color on it and paintjob looks simply outstanding! You did a great job on shortening the bed. I like the stance very much and wheels and tires are looking cool. Engine detailing is also very great. Nice model, and fastly built, but it doesn't look like it. Great job on this one, and the next project is already on the starting line... Good job!
  21. Here is the update, I promised to you! I built very simple, but quite good engine mounting brackets. Engine sits now really nicely, but it's not glued yet, just some test fitting. Propeller shaft is from AMT Monkees Mobile, but I did shorten it over half on its size. Rear axle is painted and I sawed correct rear springs to this one. I test fitted them all, and they are fitting fine, so now some painting, and I'll be able to put rear axle and engine to their place.
  22. Thank you, Doctor ! The frame is built from parts trees. (Didn't understand, what the left over sprue means... My bad enghlish...) I think, that I have an update coming soon, so stay tuned.
  23. I can see them, and they are looking real GOOD! I like the paintjobs, colors are great and I like those decals on them. Really great job so far, can't wait to see the finished products.
  24. Thank you, Stewart. Here you go, a little update to '29 Ford Rat Rod. I glued the frame on its place. It goes trough the body, because otherwise this thing would be way too high. I drilled two holes to the body, they are for the frame tubings. I built the frame from scratch... It's not ready yet, but it's getting close. I painted it satin black, and then some rust on it. From the rear, the frame is glued to the bed, from the front it aint glued yet, I'll glue the interior floor to the frame and body. Next step is building engine mounting brackets, and then I can test fit the interior floor and see, how much stuff I must cut off that it fits... The windshield is just test fitted!
  25. Yes, that's true what he says! But for the seat belts, of course they were in the option list, but every '60 Impala had not seat belts from the factory... That's if you are building this one factory stock... Of course if it will have lots of options, then go ahead!
