  1. Thank you, Jim! I painted the engine now with red. Cylinder heads and intake manifold are painted too, they are looking alright for me. Now, I must strip the paint off from chassis plate, then I can start building the chassis also. Interior is going to be painted with light colors.
  2. Now sounds lots of better. I think, that I might jump in. Is there any deadline? If there is not, then count me in with '67 Dodge Charger D/Street Drag Racer. Interesting community build, hope this gets many entries.
  3. HaHa, I got it right! It's interesting to see, what's coming next week.
  4. After a short break from this one, I'm back building this model. Not much done, but I started painting the rear axle. I painted now some red on it, next step is to paint some blue and white there, then I can add few brackets to the chassis plate and then I'm ready to glue that axle on its place. And oh yes, I must make the propeller shaft longer, but I will use that part, which is now molded to rear axle, as a basis.
  5. The model looks really cool, rust looks very real and that engine is great. Love that detailing of it. I really dig that stance and tires with those wheels. But have you seen Wolfie for a while? I haven't seen him on this forum at all in last months... Have you seen him here or in person? his models are very great to watch, that I'd like to see more of these being built. But anyway, this model looks very good to me, nothing to complaine about it.
  6. And one more question. I need also wire wheels for a Dragster. Does anybody make them? I need also those normal wire wheels, must get them someday. So does anyone make something like this, or do I have to use those ones, which came with the kit?
  7. This one looks very good to me! I like the paintjob on it, it's great looking. Stance is very nice, and wheels and tires are awesome. I like the look. Engine looks very great also, Ardun heads and those eight Strombergs are looking really cool. I like it, keep these coming. I have also one '40 Ford, but it has been waiting for builder some time. It will be quite same styled as this one.
  8. AMAZING! That can't be true. Your skills amaze me every time, but that paintjob is simply perfect. How could someone do that better? Great stuff, detailing is also very great, looks like 1:1 ProMod. That's simply amazing work, can't wait to see this one finished, it looks so amazing already.
  9. The body is finally coming from the stripper. I can't get anymore paint off from it. Well, it needs some sanding, but it's alright for me. I need to put that thing ready for primer and then I can spray some primer, and after that I can paint the body.
  10. The sun was out today, so I painted some primer on the engine and intake manifold, what I modified for two carburetors. Those parts are looking pretty good now, and I'll be able to paint some red to them, maybe tomorrow. Let's see.
  11. A little update, I glued the trailing arms to their place. I have cast them from AMC Matador rear axle, they are bondo... But they look pretty good to me. I also built header for passenger's side... It's built from solder. I also glued the plug wires to cylinder heads, now they are easier to install when they are in that tricky place alredy, it would be hard to glue them under the header. Still needs to do the same thing for the other side, and I must install header flanges too.
  12. Ross Gibson Hillborn Injected 392 Hemi is simply the best choice. It's old school, and Top Fuel engine is with blower, I think? 426 Hemi is too modern for Slingshot dragster... I had one website, where are lots of pictures, but I can't find it anymore. But project is very interesting, when you get building it.

Looking really good! Subject is very interesting, and this one is built really nicely, I'd like to build something like this... Paintjob is amazing on this, it's very shiny and smooth. Also like the wheels on this, they are very realistic, and engine bay is very nice too. Detailing looks very nice, I can't find any mistakes from this one. Really great build, keep these coming.
  14. Thank you for the comments... Jantrix: I didn't strip the paint from this one, when I got this one, it was painted brown. I didn't sand the body at all, because it was looking good for a Rat Rod. I just ainted it silver, then some red and I removed the red paint from some spots, so it looks like that old paintjobs are possible to see. Then I added some rust. I think, that I know the basics and I can make some custom modifications. I have buit for example this '32 Rat Rod, which is sectioned, channeled and windhield frame is made from scratch, I have built the trunk lid, frame 100% scratch, front axle made scratch etc, etc, etc... Started as this:
  15. Yes, that was one of the best Monster Garage episodes ever, the finished product was looking very good too. Once they also built one HD Chopper with "Dream Team" on motorbike builders, that was very good episode too. Here is a link to a picture of '54 Chevy, cool! I had that episode recorded to a digibox, but that one got broken and I lost that episode. But anyway, here is a little update to my Mercury- build. I'm going to use Flathead V8 for this one, and I was unhappy about the manifolds, I found. They all were for one carburetor, and I wanted two carbs to this engine. Well, I took two normal manifolds and "bit" of sawing, shortening and gluing, now I have one intake manifold for two carburetors... Some test fitting to the engine, fits nicely. Engine is right now gloss black, but I will spray some white primer on it and then some red paint, otherwise, if I paint red right now, on the black, it will not look good. For the tires, I'm going to use Firestone whitewalls for this one. Some putty to the manifold, and oil pan...
  16. Just next to the "Emoticons" button, there is the "Insert link"... Put the link to the "URL" spot and under that one, there is the "Link text". Write there, what ever you like and that is text of the link...
  17. Great looking Torino! I like the paintjob on it, and those wheels are looking good too. The weathering on them is looking simply outstanding. Decals are very nicely in place too, and keep these old Nascars coming.
  18. This one looks like a great project! I like the job, you have done with it, especially those hood and trunk pins are looking really great, I like the way you made them. This Monte Carlo body is one of the best looking NASCARS of that era. Looking really good, paintjob is nice and just can't wait to see the finished product. I think, that I must get back building my Jeff Gordon Monte Carlo, finally. Keep up the good work!
  19. Thanks, Bill! I think, I start hunting those wheels now. Your Cougar looks very good!
  20. I have two questions about wheels, any help would be very appreciated. 1. Does anyone make photo etch wire wheels in 1/25 scale? And if someone makes them, who, and where I can buy them? 2. I need this kind of Truck steelie wheels... Have you ever seen anything like this in some kit, I'm trying to build same styled truck, as this Finnish buildup. (a picture below.) And an other picture:http://kuvia.1g.fi/k....5/MOP_6845.jpg
  21. Sean, you are on the entry list. Thank you, for joining in. There is no deadline for the build, only last day to join in, but don't know about that yet... But I'm sure that there is no deadline for building.
  22. This one is looking GREAT! I like the color on it, it's British Racing Green, isn't it? Paintjob is also very nice, so shiny and very smooth. I like the engine work a lot, detailing is very nice and interior looks good too. Nice work with this Jaguar, wheels and tires are really nice too.
  23. Really nice builds! I'd like to see some detailing on the engine, like spark plug wires, and other wires etc. The motor looks much better with some detailing. But color and paintjob are looking good, and that engine isn't bad anyway. Looking real good, stance is great... Where did you get the tires on this? Especially I'm interested about rear tires, I need that kind of tires to some models... But good job anyway on these models, I'd like to see more of these...
  24. When something looks good and smooth for primer coat, after the primer there are some things to do... There is some kit (MPC?) of this, but it's quite expensive, I think... But I must get that one is some spot.
  25. Yes, looking good. Colors and paintjob are looking really good to me. I like the stance on this. But is there a place, where I can buy those lights on the top? (hälyytysvalot )... I'd like to build a police car from some old, maybe 70's American Muscle car. Maybe Dodge Charger etc. Really nice work with the Caprice, the WIP topic was very great to watch and follow.
