Thank you, for the answers! I've been always thinking that what are those.

And the last project is '29 Ford Rat Rod. It's first painted silver, then semigloss red and then some rust. I have also removed the red paint from some spots, so in some places you can see the sheetmetal of the body. Engine is going to be Chevy 283" with some speedparts. The little bed is made out from styrene.

Next project is '32 Ford Bonneville Racer. This is bought as a glue bomb and now I'm restoring it to Salt Lake Racer... First thing, I chopped the top, now it's looking better when the frontend of it is bit lower, but rear is about same height as it was. I'm taking the grille from Revell '29 Ford, there is one aerodynamic front clip. My tires are Firestone and I'm using Full Moon capsels for this one... I sectioned the body also and made brackets to frame, which is channeled so it will fit in correct place. I also had to cut the gastank off and shorten the frame from the rear. I also sectioned the interior rear wall and built little support to that. Engine is going to be a Flat Four. Frame brackets.

I make one thread, where I post all of my Hot Rod builds. I have few clean and nice Hot Rods coming, and then some rusty Rat Rods... First project, I'd like to share with you is '29 Ford Gasser. It's going to be 50's or 60's styled Drag Racer. I have shortened the bed a little and engine is going to be Ford Flathead, with blower. Tires and wheels are from Revell '53 Studebaker FC (Miss Deal). This body is painted and the top is already chopped. I will change that color and I'm not sure, but maybe I'll chop the top a bit more... I built my own intake manifold to that engine, because you don't see too often a correct manifold to Blower Flathead. Test fit with original bed... The second project is '34 Ford Pickup. It's Lindberg's kit. I chopped the top first, but this one needs some more sanding and filling before it's ready for primer. Engine is also Ford Flathead. This one will be very clean too and it's going to have fenders, but not the hood. It's going to be blue. It's going to be quite mild Hot Rod. It's pretty much in the starting point...

After a short break, here is again one older build from me. It's AMT's '57 Chevy Bel Air in 1/16 scale... I built intake manifold gaskets to engine and added spark plug wires. They are in correct firing order. Body is painted with spray can and it has some clear on it. This needed lots of BMF. Interior is simple, there are no special things. Doors don't fit, and I didn't fix that problem. There are lots of mistakes, but I think, that it looks quite good now...

Alright. You are on the entry list too.

This Porsche looks very cool! I like the detailing on this, especially the engine. Paintjob looks very good too. Really great looking car, I like these being built. I have also one Rally Car project going on, hope I can finish it soon. But your one is looking really cool.

I was looking models at Modelexpress.net, and I'd like to know, what these things mean. They have been disturbing me very long time, sometimes there are two of the same kit, and they have other marks, and the price is different. So what does mean: -(O/C) for example '30 Ford Touring -'Early Iron' series (O/C) the price of this one is 19.98 -(S/I) for example '30 Ford Touring -'Early Iron' series (S/I) but the price of this is 21.98 WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE?

Input needed on a 1960 Impala
W-409 replied to Pastor Plastic's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Maybe I'm bit late writing this thing here, but to get that '60 Impala look correct, it needs some work on the chassis and engine bay. The Revell '60 Impala kit shares the chassis with Revell '59 Impala, which has the spare tire casing next to the fuel tank. 1960 Impala hasn't that casing, because in '60, spare tire used to be in the trunk. That needs to be removed from the chassis. Also, these Revell kits (1959 and 1960) are sharing the engine. If you are planning to use that 348" which comes with the kit, then you must leave the "power steering pump" to the box, because '60 Impala had no that kind of pump there. Also engine is sitting way too back! But I think, that the problem is easy to solve. Because on the body, there is the thing, which holds the hood on its place. Saw that off and build little "brackets" to the side of the hood, they will keep the hood on its place. With those modifications, it's going to look like '60 Impala. Then some detail, good paintjob and clean building, there comes very nice model. Here is one picture to you, it's for the engine problem, that it is way too back. Hope this helps you. EDIT: Here is a full picture of my '60 Impala Mild Custom. -
Here are some pictures from Finnish happenings. Like Cruisings, and swap pics. There is coming more after each happening. There are also few pics of 1:1 Buick and some Daytona pictures too. Click on the link and then there are two albums. In the other one, there are some sub albums and there are the pictures... http://tapahtumakuvia.kuvat.fi/kuvat/

It's the Black Widow version, which has the same mistake on the hood. I'm trying to get that model as nice as possible (with my skills) so I must do something for that. And that interior looks very good, like the colors on it.

Thank you, both! That's true that in the real thing there are little seams there, but in this body, there were little holes and it didn't look like factory made. I think, that it looks more realistic with no seams anywhere, because they were looking really bad. Jim, good idea for the color too! I don't know yet, maybe I just leave it for one color. But I can't remember, what color decals I have. I'm planning to use Shelby Cobra decals to this one... I have sanded the body a bit, and it's getting smooth. Well, it needs some more work still, but the basis seems to be pretty good at the moment. I also painted the engine block green. It needs some clear, because it's matt paint and that doesn't look good. I painted it green, because the instructions said so, I have no idea about the real thing's engine at all. But it's getting close to the primer, but still long way to go.

Those HotRods are looking really cool! I like especially that matt grey one. It's really Old School styled. I could imagion of seeing that 1:1 in the 50's... '60 Nomad looks good too, I'm just sad that the kit is so bad that it's hard to build as nice as many of the new Revell kits. Paint jobs are great, can't believe that they are all from spray can. Really nice builds all the way, there are nothing to complaine, exept those big wheels on the Super Bee and Riviera?
-
Looking great! What are you going to do for the hood? Some putty? I have the same kit WIP (as you know ) and maybe I'll have the same problem... It would be easier to fix now before painting. The body looks good, color is nice and BMF work looks great. Engine is good looking too, I like the valve covers on this one. Great job so far, I'll keep watching this one.
-
This one looks good. I'm very happy to see that you are back in the business again. I like where this project is going.
-
Good looking Gasser! These are great! I like the way, you built the chassis. Front axle system looks GOOD! I like this stance. Just bought Revell's '50 Austin Gasser, because I love these cars with high front suspension... Great work so far, I'll keep watching this one until the end.
-
I continued the work with that Austin. I put some putty to the seams of the body. Now I must just sand them smooth. This project is really different than my normal ones, because it's small British car... I also put some putty to the engine and transmission seams... How about the color of this one? I've been thinking British Racing Green or some great shade of red. What do you guys think? Well, it's still long way to go before painting.
-
Great! Gassers are great! And Duster looks good like this. I like the paintjob and color looks also very good... I like that stance alot and wheels with those tires are looking very, very good. I like this one very much. Engie detailing is absolutely stunning. Thanx for sharing this one.

I think, I join in with another project. Austin Healey. It's going to be Historic group racer, as the Corvette, but 'Vette is Roadsport class car, in Historic class, car must be as it would be when it's built. This one is going to look like somekind of this: Austin. The kit, I'm using is Revell's new release of old kit. There are quite many of parts, but they are not so great quality. Some molding flash etc. Body needs to be assembled from many parts. I glued that thing together with superglue. I also glued the engine halves together, next step is filling and sanding, etc.
-
Nice models here! I'd like to show mine too, but I haven't bought Monogram's Buick Grand National yet. So I don't have any "Six Shooters"...
-
She did a great job with that one! For the second model, it looks very good. Color is nice and the paintjob looks good too. I like those wheels and tires. Chassis looks very nice. Detailing is very nice, I like this one.
-
Amazing job, again, Juergen! That paintjob looks SMOOTH! Color looks good on it too. I like the wheels and tires, stance looks good and I like that 1:25 scale Austria register plate. Really cool Camaro, nice work. Now waiting for the next project to come.
-
Really nice job with the Firebird! I like the paintjob, it's perfect, so shiny and smooth as 1:1... Great work with it, tires and wheels look good and that interior is outstanding. I like this one, really nice Pontiac. It looks like real car in those outside pictures. Thank you for sharing!
-
I don't know, what to say... The chassis looks GOOD!!! I like the weathering, and that silver basecoat on it. The talents are simply outstanding with this one... Can't wait to see it finished... I'd like to build one PM too, but after seeing this one, I'll hide that one forever !
-
This one is going to look good when finished... Well, it looks good already. I like those tires, they are huge! And when it has raised suspension, the tires are going to look very good on this. Nice work with front axle system... Nice job with it so far, I'll keep watching this one.
