Yeah, those builds in this section are really nice. I'm not sure about this build's quality, 'cause my building skills are not so special. But I'm trying to make it look good. Thanks, Gabriel about your comment!

66 Nova Pro Street Long Term Project
W-409 replied to eviltwincustoms's topic in WIP: Drag Racing Models
Great project. That engine fits nicely to Nova, and that frame is very nice. I also like that floor, and rear wheel wells. Keep it coming, very nice build, I'll be following this one very surely. -
I SECOND THAT!!! It's not an personal attack anyway, but it would look better like that. Nicely built anyway, nothing wrong with that, but those big wheels don't fit to "Ratty" look.
-
Thanks, Nathan. '69 Super Bee looks good too, but this '70 model is looking very mean.
-
Really nice build so far, can't wait to see more work. That was in pretty bad shape, but I like how you changed those rear fenders. Keep it coming, like Edsels and Customs are nice too.
-
Really nice job!!! It would be very hard to say, is that real or model. Maybe those garage doors show that it's a model, but that Mercury is really nicely built. Paintjob looks very cool, colors are perfect and it's very shiny. Painting those golden areas, was it hard to do...? Great wheel and tire choice, this is truly Old School, and Old School IS Cool. Nice job on the Mercury, great stance too.
-
Great job on it! This might be the best model you've done, I think. It's so great looking! Paintjob is nice, and engine looks really realistic. Wheels and tires are nice too. Chassis is nice, there's nothing wrong with it. This one was really nice to follow, keep these coming, great to see some Old NASCARS too, not only the new ones.
-
Really nice job! Glue Bombs are fun to restore, and you've done this one very nicely. Paintjob looks very good, and color is nice. I like the engine detailing too, it's great. Very clean build all over, nothing to complaine about. Chassis looks very good too. Great job.

Thanks, Chris for the pictures! That's really wild looking ride. That text on the rear window is nice. Should be great to have it in mine too, not too hard to make... Quality is fine, and the delay doesn't matter. I don't know, how to scan anything, so great job with posting them here on the internet.

Wow that Pickup looks really great! Is it going to be Pro Modified too? These are great, and that Mustang looks really good too. Keep these coming, very nice to watch these.

Thanks Brad, never been thinking that there would be good ones inside the spray can lid. Thanks, needs to try them. Haven't find any empty prescription bottles yet, so if those spray can parts don't fit, then needs to continue searching, from other bottles too.

Thanks for the comments, everyone, really appreciated. Gerald, It's always great to hear what should be done better. Thanks, for the reply on the WIP thread. I usually follow the directions, when I can't say surely where everything needs to be glued. Now it went bit wrong, but next time better... THANKS for the comments!!!

Great to hear, Chris! I'm looking forward to see them. And thanks Brett! I think, I might have some medicine bottles, or prescription bottles somewhere, needs to find them. Thanks both.

69 Daytona Pro Mod 1/16th scale updated 4/3/12 ..It's a wrap!
W-409 replied to Romell R's topic in WIP: Drag Racing Models
Your talents are amazing. It's looking really good so far. That MSD distributor is looking very good, and so does all of the scratchbuilt parts. Engine looks simply awesome. Chassis is great looking too, and I like what you've done to the rear fenders. Keep it coming, this project is very great to watch... -
Cliff, I tried using Humbroll's clear red. That's bit too thick, I think, wish I could have Tamiya's clear red paint.... I need to pick up one bottle of it, and then I'll fix that problem. And Gerald, I was thinking, is that supposed to be horn, but that's as close as I could find from my parts box. I don't have the parts trees, because this was a glue bomb restore, so I didn't find the original part for it... But anyway, I'm pretty happy about the end result, even if there are some mistakes, but next one better... Thanks, for the Comments everyone!

And still some more pics, thanks for looking. Comments very welcome!

This is now finished. Started out as a Glue Bomb. Some engine detailing and black wash for it, and also some detailing on the chassis and interior. Engine is painted orange of course, and details are mostly Scale Dreams' stuff, or scratchbuilt. Body is painted red and it has a bit polishing, but not too much. It could be better, but I like it like that. BMF and rear window is acetate. Nothing special about the final assembly, added some details and kit went together nicely. Full WIP can be found here. http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=43717&st=0&p=459690&hl= More pics.

Super Bee is now finished, and here comes the last set of WIP pictures. HUGE thanks, to everyone, who has took time to view, and post comments to this topic. THANK YOU!!! And here are the pictures: Hood is completed... Washer wiper motor is installed, it's close enough, I think. I installed rear shocks... And complete taillight panel, as good as I could get... I'll post finished pictures in Under Glass soon. Thanks.

Treasures Vault--What's in Yours?
W-409 replied to Dr. Cranky's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Here it is! This is something, I've been dreaming for long time, and now it is finally here, on my hands... I think, I must take a saw and file and bondo on my table, and start working on it. So '76 Monza 2+2. I'll build it as a Street Machine, but I'm going to let it be Monza, not going to convert it to '79 Skyhawk yet, because I must have one Monza too... Luckily those awfull custom- parts are just an option. -
Thanks, Andy and Roger. Prescription bottle, what is that? (my bad english...) The rear wheel tubs are next step on the chassis, after I've done those, I can continue with some test fitting, and maybe more cutting if needed.
-
Buick GN, and GNX are really nice cars. Regal is nice too. Your model looks just like real thing, paintjob is very good and I like the interior details. Is that Shotgun there? Nice job again, keep these great models coming.
-
Primer coat is now painted to the engine. It needed pretty much sanding before that primer, but now I can see how much it needs bondo and sanding. And it needs some more work, of course.
-
Thanks, Jeff! The progress has been quite slow, but I've sanded the engine. It's still in rought stages, but hope these two pictures help to see, where I'm at. It needs still some sanding, but maybe today, or tomorrow I can paint one primer coat on it, and then I can see how many mistakes there are and what to do with them. Frontend of that engine is the worst part, which needs lots of sanding.
-
This should be more interesting kit, than the normal HT version, I have. But maybe that doesn't matter so much, because I could saw this kit chassis also. Maybe needs to get this kit too, but let's see after some years when I've finished the Pro Street Falcon...

This is looking really good so far. You've made really good job with aluminium, and those seatbelts are looking very realistic too. Can't wait to see more work with this. Gas pedal looks nice too, nothing to complaine about.
