  1. Decided I’d see if I can make a silk purse from this sows ear. Being molded in orange is actually a helpful thing because I’m going with an orangeish color anyway. Undecided on interior color at this time. Started assembling the engine and doing stance mock-up yesterday. Also was my first time using Tamiya thin cement, WOW!! is all I can say. Can’t believe I didn’t learn about this stuff earlier lol.
  2. It’s a factory Jeep color called Rescue Green. I had it mixed up in a spray can at my local Car Quest paint store. Little bit pricey but I have plenty left for other projects lol. The paint code is PJR
  3. Started these several years ago and finally got around to finishing them up a few months back
  4. Old post I know but, does anyone know of a resin or 3D printed 66 Coronet 2dr hardtop? A guy down the street from me has one and I want to build a model of it.
  5. After reading this tip I immediately went and dug out my old jigsaw that I bought years ago and only used once and tried this. Results are…. IT WORKED LIKE A CHARM!!!! I had bottles of paint that I bought 4-5 years ago and it mixed them up like they were brand new. Now to go through and shake up the other 50 or so bottles ??
  6. I’d drive as much of Route66 as possible in this. 440-6bbl 4spd
  7. I think F3,F7,or maybe J4 would be cool and different
  8. Love it!! The color is awesome!! And those taillights look great !!
  9. I agree with you on that ??
  10. I believe the kit the original poster built was the Revell/Monogram 1/24 kit. That kit has separate headlight buckets and grille/bumper made together. The kit I believe you’re referring to is the 1/25 kit from AMT, which I agree is a pain to install the grille/headlight/bumper into.
  11. I love it!!! The color and wheels plus’s all the small details it looks amazing!!!
  12. Beautiful build!!! That color combo looks amazing together!!! Makes me want to build another one!
  13. I don’t know what to say about this build. Words cannot do it justice! The paint is amazing, the details are great, the overall look is beautiful!
  14. I gave $25 plus tax for a can of mixed paint just to paint a lexan RC Jeep body, then paid that again to paint a Revell 70 Challenger
  15. I learned to drive in 2 different vehicles, first was my grandmother’s 1969 Pontiac Catalina 4dr and the other was my grandfather’s 1968 Chevrolet C10 with a 327 and 3spd on the column with manual brakes and steering
  16. You have my attention sir ? Please. Continue with this awesome build! ??
  17. I got lucky last year and snagged the Revell kit sealed for $35 shipped. Of course it didn’t stay sealed long ?
  18. Wouldn’t happen to work for Worldwide Signs would you? I’m in the sign business as well, I’m a lead installer for a local sign and graphics printing company.
  19. Just picked up one of these kits today. I’m 50 years old and have never built one of these. Your build looks awesome!!
  20. Beautiful build!! I built one for my wife because that is one of her dream cars. Wish I’d paid attention about the vinyl top trim. Now I’ll have to redo it or my OCD will drive me nuts ?
  21. Grabbed these at Hobby Lobby today. All models were 40% off and I got a $50 gift card for Christmas so I finally bought my Christmas gift.
  22. The Revell 83/85 Olds Cutlass kits have some of the A/C components under the hood
  23. I’ve been looking for this kit forever to add to my stash! I’ll be following this one closely to see how it builds up
