  1. Can't think of anything that would be avalable. Only one thing comes to mind, Direct heat.
  2. I would like to see some Ape hanger bars
  3. Sourapple looks SWEET sorry, I just had to say it. I'm not much of a fan of Japanese imports, but you did a great job Americanizing that Toyota.
  4. Check out: http//www.swannysmodels.com Go to the bottom of the web page and click on TOOLS AND TIPS scrol down to the 4th pic, It says The Complete Future. and click on that, for everything you need to know about Future. hope this helps. Ron
  5. Hello Clay, Just want to say I've used that Color-place ( wal-mart brand) paint and have never really had any problems. I really like the gray primer Cheep and effective. I use the flat black also with decent results. the gloss colors I use on interiors and then hit it with some simi-gloss or flat clear and have never had no bad reactions. It is enamel paint, like the regular Testors enamel. Good luck with your project. Ron
  6. I went to Michaels on Saturday also, Only spent $5.28 w/ coupon for the AMT 72 Pontiac GTO kit. After I got home and inspected the kit, I found a nice extra item inside the box. A drag racing Christmas tree. COOL. Using the coupon on the clearance kits is the way to go. Feels like I went back in time to around the mid to late 70s when kits were around $5.00 bucks. I have 3 Michaels stores within 8 miles of my house, so I have lots to choose from. Clayton, you picked up some nice stuff, and you will love the saw. Looks like you are set with paint for a while. I need to stock up on some paint also. My Wife supports me in the Hobby too. Sometime we go shopping together and she even pays for my stuff. Would'ent trade her for the world. Now if I could only get her to build something with me. LOL. Enjoy the kits and supplies, I'm looking forward to you posting pics of your builds. Ron
  7. After polishing, Try airbrushing on some Future floor polish. it can also be applied with a brush. and if you dont like the results, its easy to remove. It also could help with your yellowing concerns. Ron
  8. Welcome marinewifejones, I hope you know that we intend to nag you into building and posting pics of a model car that you like. any scale, just has to be a car. How 'bout it? Ron
  9. Looking good in white. I'm doing the 70' Super bee pro street version. worked on the interior last night. Hope to spray the body today. Going with dark mica blue on the body. my interior is a dark battleship blue/gray color, I like using military colors on interiors for something different. Hope to see yours finished soon. Keep up the good work, its looking great. Ron
  10. I love the work your putting into this. Its gonna be a KILLER when complete. Just wondering, Did you open the grill up? It looks like you opened the grill on some of the pics. Can't wait for more progress pics. keep up the great work. Good luck with it. Ron.
  11. Hurry up and get home, I want to see the pics....LOL
  12. Nice Race team set up. The 32 roadster looks cool with the louvers on the trunk. And the dust should blow off once it gets rolling down the strip. Nice work on these, I like em'
  13. Wow, Nice. You picked up some great kits & supplies, I went to Michaels on Saturday and got a can of spray paint, but my coupon was expired and I paid full price for it. still not too bad at $4.30. I have been using the coupons to buy spray paint, to stock-up my inventory for the last several months. The 40% & 50% off coupons are in the Sunday newspaper. Its not a weekly thing, buy most of the time they are on the advertisement. its a great resource for the modeler on a budget. and like Chris said, use it to buy those clearance kits to save even more, because you can't find kits for $4.50 anymore. Enjoy your new stuff, and don't forget to post pics of your new kits built. Ron.
  14. Because most are saying real, I will say Model. Harry is real good with this topic, and I think he has most of you stumped. Probably me too. Dang that Caddy is low.
  15. Hope you have a great day. I wonder if your tryin' to catch-up with me? All the best to you. Happy B-day my friend. Cheers, Ron
  16. Nice job on those Impalas Simon, I love the color combo on the 60'. And the 64' is just the way you see most of them, all beat up from years and miles driven. Hope you enjoyed that California trip. and sorry about the Queen Mary, dident we steal that from the UK? Cheers, Ron
  17. Trying to figure out which is a model and which is 1:1 Fantastic work! Ron
  18. My Friend, as long as you have a computer, your not sunk. I signed up at ebay on Thanksgiving weekend and have got 18 kits so far, have 2 more paid for and expect to see them some time this week. I have also got models from the many online hobby shops like Model Roundup, Modelexpress, Tower hobbys. Their are plenty of great hobby related sites to buy kits from. Just search for the best price in the comfort of your home. As for wal-mart, The one's in my area never had much of a selection to choose from, and never had any new releases. so I don't have any checkerboard kits. Ron
  19. Michaels has some model kits at a discount $9.00 each, and not just AMT kits. some Revell are on sale also. Just a heads up. cheers. Ron
  20. Hey Jones, Your right, I can hardly get out of the Hobby shop before opening my kits. I have some (4 I think) that are still sealed, but only because I have doubles of those kits, and Intend on building every one of em. To do that I will need to quit working, or live till I'm 120 years old. I have around 250 kits, and get more almost daily. I consider myself lucky that my wife supports me in this hobby. She even paid for the Mustang GT 350H that I picked up yesterday at michaels. Its cool to have a sealed kit. but the rule is; for every sealed kit you have, you must have the same kit to build. LOL Build on! Ron
  21. Good that you don't want to sell the kit. that tells me you value the collection more than the money. I have about 250 unbuilt kits in my collection, I don't think I could sell a single one, because I value my collection. I also collect Hot Wheels cars and would not have a problem selling them, because I would use the money for more model kits. I'm infected with styrene hording disease. Cheers, Ron
  22. Hi Jeff, and welcome to the Model Cars Magazine Forum. Sorry but your kit is only worth about $2.99, But in a gesture of good faith to a new member, I will send you $8.00 for the kit, to take it off your hands But seriously that kit is probably worth a nice sum. Just an off the wall guess I'd say $50.00. If it were still sealed in plastic it could be as much as $90.00- $100.00 and up. I'm not an expert, but I have seen the prices on ebay. And it is usually what someone is willing to pay for vintage plastic. Others might have a more accurate estimate. Ron.
  23. Hey stanley, have you tried www.stradasports.com dont know if they have them. But its the first place I would look.
  24. Hello wdcav, I have this kit, but have not built it yet. I went to my room and got out the kit, I'm looking at it and your right. it seems like the grill mount area. (the parts that stick up from the bumper) are too wide and keep it from fitting properly. Have you painted it yet? If so, you might want to super glue it to the chassis after you install the chassis. hope this helps. Ron
  25. Nice builds, I love those cars with a couple thousand pounds of steel around them and massive amounts of horsepower. You can call this topic ROAD KINGS. Thanks for posting them. Ron Hey Albert, I just noticed, your from Riverside Ca. So howdy neighbor, I'm in the LaSierra area, maybe we will meet up sometime at a local 1:1 show or something. R.J.
