  1. I like the open position, it shows off the nicely detailed engine. Nice work Ron. Thanks for posting pics Cheers, another Ron.
  2. Thanks for the link and decal info. Steve, I dident know it comes in blue. I want to do mine in what will probably be the most popular color for the 1:1 YELLOW Thanks, Ron
  3. I bought mine today at the Kit Collectors swap meet. can't wait to start it. I have a question about the paint color. Does anyone know of a match for it in Testors or Tamiya paints, as these are the easiest to get. thanks, Ron.
  4. Today 11/10/07 I went to Big Lots and grabbed up a Chrysler 300 and 2 AMT display cases, then on to Wal Mart with the wife, picked up some Future acrylic floor polish. My wife thought I was making a gesture that I would do the floor at home, and I had to tell her that it is for my models, now she says she wants to do the floor with some of my Future. I gonna have to hide it. LOL. Tomorrow is the Kit Collectors swap meet and I am sure to find some good stuff there.
  5. I think its a reproduction. Memorex?
  6. Izzy, The address is now: Indycals.net was: Indycals.com
  7. I voted real, so its got to be a model. LOL. I wonder how to join the Maxit group?
  8. AM kits a geared toward the advanced modeler, so for that reason they can't expect to sell kits like Revell does. But I must admit I have shyed away from these kits because of the price. I have the first Two Corvette Grand sport kits, and wanted to buy at least one of the McLaren Can Am kits. But at the time my hobby funds were hurting. I'm still on the look-out for it, but its more costly now. Overall the Accurate Minitures kits are about as good or better than any kit I have ever seen. And IMO well worth the price. But I will continue to hold out the miniscule hope that they may come through with the Cobras.
  9. Hey Jarius, What could be more silent than an air tank? it just hissssis.
  10. Nice work Robert, It looks great in that color. are the Caddy sombrero wheel covers the ones from the kit? they look real nice. thanks for sharing it. In the second pic, it looks like someone has their foot on the break pedal. LOL. Ron.
  11. Gerry, Thank you for the excellent report. With AMT totally out of the picture, I did not expect much in new kits. Maybe a couple from Revell, but nothing like this. Its great news. But I was disappointed that the Accurate Miniatures Cobra kits are not going to be produced. I put in a pre-order for one, but I will have to forget about it. Lindberg is the biggest surprise. The Demon Concept roadster gives me chills up my spine, soooo cool. and the Challenger and Rampage P/U are nice too. good job Lindberg. Made in USA. And also the ton of re-releases from Lindberg are appreciated, I missed them the first go around. Thanks again for your report from Ihobby expo. Its a good day in the neighborhood. Cheers Ron
  12. Christian, Pep Boys and Harbor Freight tools, sell an air tank that you fill with compressed air at the gas station or with your own compressor. Its the quietest thing you will find. I know other modelers use this type of air system and say it works well. These are not usually very expensive. and i think they come with a pressure gauge, you will need to hook up a moisture trap. This is just another option for you to consider. Good luck. Ron
  13. Thanks for the pics. Lots of interesting and well done builds. I like pic 117, Olds Cutless Gasser, cool concept. I think the show was a success.
  14. I should end up with most all of them by this time next year. I LOVE THIS STUFF. I don't build to enter contests. I build for myself, its not extreamly inportant that everything be accurate to a T. My friends and family don't carry micrometers with them, so they would never know that the rear window is off by .002 of an inch. or the wheel wells are too rounded. or whatever. I'm just happy that we still have companys producing car kits. It might not be so good 5 to 10 years from now. just my 2 cents. Ron
  15. The Nova is cool but the 32' Ford sedan is what I'm waiting for. Question, Is the Model King at the Ihobby Expo? If so, what can we expect from him? I would love to know what he has up his sleeve. Thanks, Ron
  16. Hey Izzy, There is a tip here on the Forum, in the Tips, Tricks, and Ideas section about shrinking model parts. Although it could take a couple of years to do that technique with thoes wheels LOL Ron
  17. Nice find, Was it in some of your old stuff, or maybe a garage sale? where did you find that bag'O'Rats. Great material for some fun building.
  18. I've heard this is a tough one to build, But yours looks real nice, almost like it just fell together. Great work. Ron
  19. Great work so far, I like where your going with this. I'm tired of the pimp mobile look. Its nice to see someone use a little imagination on a kit. and make it stand out with lots of extra details. Can't wait to see the finished model complete with the finishing touch. nice going. Ron
  20. HAPPY BIRTHDAY MR.OBSESSIVE. Hope you had a wonderful day. Cheers Ron.

  23. Check out www.scalemodelingbychris.com Some cool stuff there.
  24. Are you using a primer coat? or just the testors on bare plastic? Its a good idea to get a smooth coat of primer, then shoot the color. hope this helps. Ron.
  25. Got them yesterday, spent last night lookin em' over. Jo-Han, Shirley Shahan's 69' AMX super stocker Revell "Hot Rod" monster machines 2 car set Showboat dragster & Challerger 1 Land speed car. Thanks Fred. Ron. Hey Ronster, That Dodge is great! real nice find.
