  1. Also if you have some decals with gauges on them, just copy them on a printer, you can make extras for other projects. and Model car garage has some. Good luck. Ron

  5. Nice collection ya got there. However the pics seem to be a bit out of focus, and a tad bit large when clicked on. Maybe you can reduce the size a little, and post them again? They look good and I would like to see the funny car more clearly. Of course it may just be my eyes, I am fastly approching 50 years and things don't work like they used to. Thanks Ron Hey Outsider, you need to put your real name in the signiture area in "my controls" as per board rules and guidelines. you can see mine below. Thanks
  6. Hey Ron, I'm doing the same kit. Mine is the Pro-street version. Its primered and awaiting color. Yours is looking nice, the paint came out real nice. Hope mine looks as good when the color is added. Keep up the great work, and show your progress, I'm interested in seeing your build-up. Thanks for posting the pics. Ron W. BTW, I'm gonna have to try some of that clear coat, Thanks for the information.
  7. Someone had to mention JOBS and WAGES and that must have scared them off, QUICK, SOMEBODY START MIXING SOME DRINKS, maybe that will luer them back.
  8. Ah Greg, we don't hate you. In fact all us guys would like to send you and Ismael on an all expense paid trip to beautiful Barrow, Alaska for the remainder of the winter, where you will enjoy hunting, fishing, and learn a few survival skills. Its a once in a lifetime experience, you'll love it. Ron
  9. If you two dont stop it, I'll be forced to conger-up a hurricane or earthquake. We have some nice temps forcast for the next few days and I plan on taking advantage of it.

  13. I did'ent have to snoop around for mine. I ordered them. the bad thing is, I can't touch them until December 25. here's what I ordered: Infinitee dragster, Stingeree dragster, MK Challenger f/c and 40 ford modified. This is going to be a great Christmas, Every year I ask for a model or two. but only my sister-in-law gets me a model. This year I took matters into my own hands and told my wife I will order the kits I want for Christmas. All she has to do is Wrap them. MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE! Ron.

  15. Hey Rob, I came across some flame templates from Detail Master, they are made of a clear plastic. If you go to https://www.scaledreams.com They have 4 different types, Broad flames, thin flames, scallops, splash designs. Unfortunitly Scale Dreams is going out of business. But on the plus side he has everything at 50% off. hope this helps. Ron
  16. Hi David, Good to have you here. The main thing to remember is you gotta crawl before you can walk. meaning you need to stick to the hobby and not give up on yourself. You can learn to build as well as anyone else here, if you take your time and learn all the Techniques that will help you to build the quality of models you see here on this great site. I have been back into car modeling for about 13 years, and my models don't come close to most of the builds here, but I really enjoy building. But every time I start a kit I know it will be better than the last one. I have learned alot from the members here. and my models are starting to turn out much better now since I joined this site. Check out the TIPS, TRICKS, and IDEAS section for some interesting detailing tips and Painting Techniques. Welcome to the Model Cars Mag. Forums David, Ron
  17. Ahhhhh, I can smell the turkey cookin' while I'm working on my latest project, Happy Thanksgiving everyone,.
  18. Yes and they must be removed carefully, you don't want to distort the roundness of the light area. take your time and work slowly and use progressively finer grit sandpaper or sanding sticks as the mold lines start to disappear.
  19. when production of the kits has started, will it be a limited production of say less than 1,000 units. And also, I don't mean to sound negative ( I like the idea of a Drag boat) why not a Historically significant automotive subject? Thanks. Ron
  20. Today I got a Revell 41' Willis street rod. $8.61 at Michales crafts with the Infamous 50% off coupon. I try to use the coupon when ever I get one. Even the 40% off comes in handy for Testors spray cans and air brush accesories etc. I gotta start workin' on my Santa list, Mrs.Claus is gonna ###### in her spandix when she see's the list....LOL....
  21. 1962 Chevrolet Corvette.....with removable hardtop. and don't wake me up!
  22. Nice build Rob, Looks like it could turn a 9 second quarter mile. keep up the nice work!
  23. I agree Tim, John (Fuelish Spectator) is an exceptional builder. Even his Rat Rod looks like it could blow the doors off a Funny Car. LOL. I think he has a pic posted here in this Drag Racing Models Forum. Page 5. Super Brut fuel altered.
  24. Very nice clean build. what paint did you use on the body and on the wheels? Is that the 1/25 scale Revell kit? Its a great looking build. Thanks for sharing. Ron
  25. Yea! The Drag Boat is incredable. I remember seeing it in the other magizine. would love to see it again if you can find the pics. can't wait to see some of your other models as well. welcome to the MCM forums Tim, good to have you here. Ron.
