New Revell '32 Ford 5-window coupe

Tim, thanks for all you do! It's nice to have a way to see what's coming for those of us that can't make the IHobby shows. Looks like a nice kit, much nicer than I imagined. I wish the headlights were like the ones pictured in previous photos. I will still get one of these kits no matter though. -
It's final.......cya there!

STOLEN MODEL ALERT........
RodBurNeR replied to Jeff Sauber's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I see a lot of models , so if it shows up I would recognize the work even with a different body. If I see it, I will take it from them and let you know. I don't care who's model it is, modelers don't or shouldn't rip each other off! (or anyone for that matter) I have a feeling that whoever took it was thinking he found a real expensive toy....in his mind thinks there are hundreds of the same one out there. I am really shocked at how many models are stolen each year, but more so from shows! I just don't get it... I had a model stolen and if I ever find out who it was, they will meet me in person. A buyer off ebay claims he never got my '64 chevy pickup and demanded a refund...if it was not him, then it had to be a mail personel. It's not the best, but it's the principal! I built this in 2000 I think, before I got online (with model sites) or ever went to a show. -
Well thank you! I really didn't think that much of it though. I love to rebuild old models, but to me this was kinda plain..like I wanted to put lake pipes on it, but said heck with that and since it's a convertible I felt I should have put something on the seats like the "reel to reel" a friend sent to me..which I might still do. I was humbled because I posted in the early AM and didn't check back until about noon...I was surprised that so many responses came! I posted on a few forums so it was overwhelming

looks like someone puked on a construction worker! Billy, you DO have guts but it's all good my friend! Keep having fun, it's what this is ALL about!
-
thanks guys! Andy, I will be back! Everyone is real friendly and that's what makes a show so much fun! I also got some real nice buys and I heard others commenting on the fair pricing too! The magazine and two 53 Woody's I bought from you really was a good buy and I have plans to work on one of them very soon!

thank you! OOPS!....sorry everyone, I just copied and pasted the same post here as I did in my forum and didn't think to myself about the swearing in there....I fixed it.

This weekend was an adventure, sorry if this is long. My Great Uncle Roger and I left Omaha about 7am to Bloomington, MN. The WHOLE way there it was pouring! Just nuts I tell ya! I didn't dress for the rain, my flip flops and shorts with a t-shirt....man I was freezing my buttocks off LOL! We stopped in Burnsville to see a buddy of his and then we went to Applebee's for dinner and even though Roger has not been there in over a year, several people eating there knew him and the bar tender knew him and what he wanted to drink! Had a good time there, listening to all the badgering and dirty jokes hehe! After that we went to Lakesville or Lakeville one of the two..and got a room at Motel6 where Steve Kohler, Steve Burwell and Dave Neighbors were staying too. (we never got together until the show). That night I think I laid down about 4:30pm or so...I woke up at 8PM..looked outside and said "dang we are late!" ....jumped in the shower and got dressed, packed my stuff up and Roger did the same..(why did he get ready like me?...no idea!) Turns out it was me thinking that it was 8AM the next morning and I REALLY only slept for 3 1/2 hours or so! So the joke was on me! I was thinking it was Sunday morning :-X After I figured that out , we went to get some dinner and went back to the motel and I guess we went to bed about 11pm. Got to the show this morning and from that point on.....I met people for the first time and saw friends again.....it was nonstop all day and THAT'S what I like! ;D This is a good show and if you can make it, do it! I don't want to start a list of who I saw there, but let's say MANY! There was a few models there from TRaK...I don't know what the owners look like and I don't think we met? mercman? I wish we could have met and got some group photos...maybe next time guys! I got surprised with this....made my day which was already GREAT! Thanks to all who ran the show, it was a great time!! I thought this was neat! There is another model with several photos...let me tell you, everyone was all over it, very nice! LINK http://public.fotki.com/drasticplasticsmcc...annual-nnl-nor/

AMT?????????????????
RodBurNeR replied to nascarfan's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I would guess that if they had more, they sold...they are kinda slim right now here too, but AMT is still at it thankfully! There are more releases and reissues coming out later this year from what I hear. -
WOOOOOHOOOOOO! Leaving tomorrow morning, cya there Sunday!

Humbled is about the best I can describe it.....you guys make me feel great! Thank you all for the compliments, I didn't realize it was going to be liked this well!

This is about as mild as they come I think. I wanted to "restore" the old beast, so that's what I tried to do. I did shave all scripts and crests and the tail lights just happened to be the kustom ones from the kit. It has 58-59 Cadillac spoke wheels with bullet centers and a tuck steering wheel cover. It's pretty mild, but I am happy to have it done! Enjoy!

here is the interior. I made the shifter teardrop knob on my dremel and mounted it on the kit lever. The necker knob I also made from tail light sprue on my dremel and polish it so it's nice and clear. the knob is mounted by an aluminum strap with RB Motion bolt and nut. the pattern is ScaleMotorSports decals and the stripes on dash are from a 56 chevy monogram kit I believe.
