  1. Glad to see you guys approve of the "New colors" Basically like comparing apples to oranges. Both will build up nice , they both are affordable if you shop around. I feel less guilty cutting up the Revell kit to experiment with then the AMT. Got a chance to get back to this one today, I am not impressed with the super shiny fuel tanks and battery boxes. I might give them a shot of dull coat to tone them down some. What do you guys suggest for the tanks and bat boxes ?
  2. That is Zues showing his annoyance of a Peterbilt with "Werner" logos Seriously those are some magnificent pictures. You guys should collaborate and make a calender.
  3. My Wife and I really like Halloween, so every year we do a Yard Haunt. I like to build our props and this is a witch I made a few years back. The beginning , a foam wig head cut up and added foam chunks for nose and chin base, More detail added with clay . Texturing with paper towels. Skeleton of pvc pipe , chicken wire covered with ducktape My wife sewed the outfit to dress her. Just another model on a larger scale !
  4. Must of been a glitch , everything seems fine when I looked !
  5. Both of these look great. The weathering is perfect - has that "out west" out in the elements look . Darn 'it I have at least three thumbprints on my monitor trying to squish your bug this morning !
  6. It just gets better everytime I see it ! I will be looking forward to the shift linkage work, take lots of pictures
  7. I'm going to say your base coat will affect the color. The ones I put on my Green Pete have a creamy light green color to them in the light.
  8. This is a Super looking combo. I really like the wheels on the tractor !
  9. Very nice assortment of kits to come home to Tom. I have been searching for an Alaska Hauler also .
  10. Believe it or not I have clocked over 5 hours playing with this exhaust system. White glue is your friend on this type of stuff. I believe I have it to where once it cures I can remove the piping from the turbo and sand all the seams and fill gap wedges . Mark - If I knew where my rolls of solder was , I would of went that direction. I cant find anything since we moved.. Glad to hear the template has been of use - Looking forward to see what your gonna build !
  11. Hey Mark, glad you stopped in for a look. Yes the stacks will be behind the bunk. That has been my ardous task since early this morning. Building and piping the exhaust with minimal supplies. Clayton - I almost gave mine to Goodwill as I had not used in in years. Sure beats scuffing. Gordon - Thank you
  12. Now that is Impressive ! Is the tender brass or styrene ?
  13. Wow that trailer looks way better. I might have to do the same thing to the one I have - as it just looks off to me. That Pete is going to be a nice one also - Need a Cummins for it ?
  14. Today was tire scuffing day, even though it takes less then 30 seconds a tire I still dread the thought. Also did two snapper tires from my Pete to see how they would turn out. Terry, that short hood will go in a box for a future build. Dennis - Thanks for checking in
  15. Now that is Impressive :D
  16. Dennis - That is one "Bad Moe", most excellent work ! How about a comparrison pic bumper to bumper with regular Class 8 truck sometime in the future ?
  17. That is spectacular , everything looks just right. What is the total length this setup will take on the shelf ? Your gonna get a big ticket for transporting that excavator with all the mud in the rollers and tracks
  18. I never had the luxery of working for a mine with "Interstate" access Just two lane mountain highways which still required pilot cars . I wish I still had the pics of the 500 tonners showing up . One semi load was the frame and cab, Next was the engine and trans ,the dump bed was in thirds and each had a truck , then was another hauling the wheels & tires then another with all the electric motors, cooling units ect.
  19. This is incredible, I am so impressed with the Ford. Nice work all the way around and Those fender mirrors are the coolest ! The lowboy is equally impressive !
  20. I would go with the duals on the stacks and lubrifiner. Cant help you on the scrolls as I would have to see the sheets for the styles.
  21. One thing to keep in mind on those trucks the size of the "Payhauler" - They are transported with the tires off , so you will need two trucks and trailers.
  22. Craig - For some odd reason this truck really intrigues me Looks like a great kitbash project !
  23. Wow Russel, Thanks for linking your old school stuff ! I have some extra Reo parts I can send you to help you out on your 77'ish project. I really like your C-90-D version also - way cool cab. I have been working on a 90 series cab during my "wait time" to have for a future project. I havent done any filler work yet as my "hardner" went mia after the move.
  24. Very true , but you would rarely see one that had not been rattle canned or repainted by the owner. Nobody liked white engines.
