  1. About two weeks ago, I just scoffed and muttered "you're gonna have to do better than that" my phone is used for calling - not internet surfing or payments of any type. Less than 10 people have the number and I have to look it up myself. So anything like that I know its a load of crud. Ive never driven a toll road but I have been fleeced crossing the Tacoma Bridge many a time in the past.
  2. Love those old NASCAR's and this one looks great !
  3. Looking out the window - Anybody wanting to move to Montana ? I will take models in trade for property 😄
  4. Bill is right on, I haven't liked the putty they sell for models as far back to the 1990's. This is my go to putty for plastic, and to date Ive never had any trouble with it. The only challenge was mixing a kidney bean size of putty with a seed bead size amount of hardener. I used it on the nose of this Daytona Charger, But in the past Ive used it thicker for molding flares as you are making.
  5. Niko - I was never really a fan of the big ole A bodies, But I'm really a fan of yours and it looks wicked as Haiti's !! 😎 You've definitely changed my mind on how good these look and can be fixed up.
  6. Buy property first, doesn't do you any good to acquire them if you have no place to store them. I had a collection of first gen Camaro's and parts on the family ranch in Colorado, I left to work out of state for a year and came back to nothing. 😞
  7. What a cool back story and great looking car. Was it pretty tough to find the body parts and Chevy engine parts where you are located?
  8. You should keep your brush painted builds as is , down the road a person always wishes they had their earlier built models. My suggestion, pick up the same kits and build them with your improved knowledge and skills.
  9. This is the setup Ive used for over 20 years, Ive replaced the aluminum mitre box once. I think mine came from Micro Mark as Ive never used Amazon. The small saw like you showed in next thread I ordered from Hannants. Both are valuable tools for the modeling bench.
  10. This was my first mail order kit that I ordered from Auto world back in 1977 for the price of $2.19 and $1.00 shipping. I know I drove my mom crazy asking if it had showed up everyday ! I had acquired another about 10 years back but my son claimed it as he's a Mopar guy. He took it with him to Bahrain, now its in South America. This one is complete except decals. And I made sure to ask my wife if it came in the mail everyday since I placed the order on ebay 😄
  11. Pyro models prototype ?
  12. The much loved MPC / AMT '69 Dodge Daytona prototype for more future Nascar builds of same kit is taking shape.
  13. Pending trade -
  14. Thanks for pointing that out - post has been edited.
  15. Mark, those parts bring back memories. Cant wait to see what you do with them.
  16. As the title says, looking for a complete "Malco Gasser" Mustang can be old or reissue. I have a Sealed Salvinos JR Petty Roadrunner kit to offer in trade. (both issues on hand)
  17. Wow - that's Super pleasing to the eyes, Very nice paint color!!
  18. X2 but I would build it - love that long hood 😎
  19. Gary - If you live where you get any snow, be sure to pull the snow off the roof with a floor broom or similar. Those sheds Do Not hold up well to any weight on the roofs.
  20. Chi'na is notorious for faking silver coins / troy ounces. Ive been a collector of silver since the late 80's as the companies I worked for you give it to you for a safety bonus for no lost time accidents. When I was working in NE Washington state there was a coin shop in Spokane and they had a five gallon bucket that was about 3/4 full of "fake troy ounces" they left that out as to detour the thieves that might break in thinking they would steal that instead of trying to get into the vaults. The coins/ bars would have a silver coating and junk metals on the inside. I have a friend here in Montana that has been buying the "Buffalo rounds" for about $10.00 less than spot. They are about 2mm bigger around and 1mm thicker. He says I'm a fool for buying at a reputable family owned coin shop as I'm paying more than he is, as his coins are bigger - even though they are identical to mine but the size difference. 🙄 Remember - real silver coins, troy ounces has a distinctive ring when dropped on a solid surface (like three inches above a table)
  21. Tim that's awesome you went and had a Perfect breakfast. My wife and I went for a drive (320 miles RT) today and go check on our friends property and house while he is out of state working. The scenery was fabulous, nothing like clean snow every direction you looked. The interstate 90 was closed up ahead due to 70-90 mph winds. Gotta love Montana !
